The food and ambiance at this place is just awesome and top tier. The service was exceptional as well!Would highly recommend this place to who enjoys tasty soup and high quality meats!

Came here with a group of friends to celebrate lunar new year!! ‍We had a reservation, but we were late to it- we called the restaurant, and they let us know it would be fine. The servers were very nice and attentive, checking up on us periodically and helping us open our drinks as well as pouring them for us. They also came many times asking if we wanted to order more food as the shabu shabu is ayce style !The food was great! The meat tasted very good with good proportion of fatty and lean meat. I ate a lot of the wagyu brisket, and I usually don't eat much meat when I eat shabu shabu or hot pot. I also enjoyed the appetizers - the wagyu kimchi nachos were tasty but came as loaded fries instead. We also tried the takoyaki (great portion of breading to filling to topping), seaweed salad, edamame, kimchi, and crispy tofu appetizers. Besides that there are also many sides to choose from as well - I like the vegetable trio noodles the most as they were very tasty, well-textured, and pretty as well. A standout for me was the coconut lava ball dessert - crispy on the outside and filled with coconut sago on the inside. I'm not usually a big fan of coconut flavors, but this was a very delicious dessert !In addition to food, we also got drinks. I got the sparking sake and it was so delicious - didn't even taste like alcohol. My friends had the sake, Kyoto yuzu beer, Sapporo beer, and peach ramune and all enjoyed their drinks as well!I also enjoyed the ambiance - the searing area is on the smaller side but it works out!Overall, I would definitely come back again :)

All you can eat lunch special!! Came on a rainy day with two colleagues for a quick lunch and were seated at the bar because no tables were available (but not an issue) We were handed giant menus and got to pick our options. Service was a tad slow because it was only 1 person serving but she was very nice and we weren't in a rush! Our food came out in tiers and we all had our own pots. The broth base was flavorful and the meats were good. I would have liked the veggies to not come in a bundle because I wanted more of certain things but unfortunately it wasn't an option. I love that we were also able to order sides. I did not like the takoyaki but I think my favorite thing I had were the lychee shrimp balls. Definitely would recommend coming on a cold day and crazy shabu. It was a little cold in there as the windows were open and it was raining outside but you warm up quick once the food starts cooking!

They have different tiers to choose from, Domestic Wagyu $58, Premium Domestic Wagyu $68, and A5 Wagyu $98. Might seem a bit pricey, but for unlimited and the quality you're getting, you're definitely going to get a bang for your buck! Because not only do they have meat option, but they also have seafood and a lot of appetizers to choose from. A great place for a date night or to celebrate something special. Service was also amazing!

I invited my friends for dinner to celebrate my birthday, and of course, they all assumed I'd want hot pot -- this place popped up on my search for hot pot in Japantown and I was able to make a reservation for 9. honestly it was the best birthday meal I could've asked for (with great company of course) First off, the service was 10/10!! Irene, the hostess, is super cheerful and friendly! One of my friends is vegetarian, and the hostess took the liberty to order for us making sure that we had enough veggie options in addition to the best quality cuts of meat. She even gave us kimchi wagyu waffles fries on the house which was an off-menu item and super delicious!! And since it was my birthday, she gave me a chestnut cake! We opted for the $68 option-- The golden chicken and Wagyu spicy broth were both so flavorful and so good!! The A5 Wagyu was so tender and melts in your mouth. Probably one of the best shabu shabu I've had in awhile!!

HOLY MOLY! I do want to start off with I was completely turned around looking for the entrance - LOL - shhhh it's a secret! Jk - it's kind of like inside an alley, but not. It's under the ramen spot.A5 - Wagyu! Yes, A5!!! Keep it coming! Table for 4 unlimited wagyu, unlimited beers, and unlimited smiles and legendary service by the owner. You made a believer out of me! The wagyu literally melts in your mouth. The Wagyu gods from above has blessed us with the nourishment to refuel the soul. To top it off fried mochi! Yes, fried mochi! I'll be back aunty! This place is the 1!Something to note: I did read most of the reviews and I have to strongly disagree with some of them. As you all know, I'm a harsh critic. The batch of A5 I had was amazing. As for the broth - Sounds like wrong decisions were made. I had the spicy Wagyu and Tonkatsu and I was overly pleased. As for appearance - What were you expecting? A red carpet and news reporters ready to take commentary and pictures? LOL - ridiculous.

Got the highest tier and was impressive. Meats meet the quality and we tried 3 kinds of broths and all of them meet our standard. Service was good and attentive but a bit slow on that day (Tuesday dinner) might be their busy hours. Caramelize mackerel was amazing and over my expectations.

Restaurant was nicely set up with a Japanese restaurant/bar vibe. Service was very welcoming and attentive but I will add in that it wasn't a busy day when my friend and I went. We did make reservations prior because we don't like to wait long. They handed us a HUGE (in size) menu! The food was amazing! I have to admit the cuts of A5 Wagyu for hotpot was thick! Typically most hotpot restaurants that serve "Wagyu" are inconsistent and very thinly sliced. I definitely highly recommend this place! This place is now my new favorite hotpot restaurant in SF!

I just wanted to share my recent experience at a place that promised an all-you-can-eat lunch for $29, but honestly, it felt like a total scam! The service was terrible--after waiting 30 minutes for our next round of meat, we were served plates full of fat instead. I even asked the waitress for something different because what she brought out was basically all fat again. It's like they're saving the good cuts for dinner orders or something.And don't get me started on the service! There were only two servers working, and neither of them bothered to check on us. We ordered two rounds of meat and waited forever just to get some fatty pieces that weren't even cut fresh. How is that acceptable? I didn't want to complain loudly in front of other customers since I could hear them grumbling about similar issues with their meals too. When I finally spoke up at the front door about how bad everything was to one of the servers. She said maybe we ordered wrong and tried to blame it on her coworker being new. Seriously? That's such a lame excuse! I looked Yelp after and saw other complaints about this same issue--it seems like they really don't care about improving their food or service despite all these reviews.So please take my advice: avoid this place if you can! You'll end up feeling as disappointed!

Staff are friendly. The lady Manager has recommended us some specialist which were taste fantastic. Price is reasonable. Highly recommended for those who love wagyu beef.
