Marcela’s Taqueria

Wow, what a gem! I stumbled upon this hole-in-the-wall taqueria while staying at Hotel Adagio in SF. After a long day at Outside Lands, I grabbed a burrito from here, and it hit the spot. Packed with meat, it was delicious, and the staff was friendly, even though they were about to close.Gotta get the orange sauce, super spicy and the chips too, they were tasty. The burrito was so good that I had to go back the next day to try the tacos, which were also delicious and had a nice kick.This seems to be a family-run spot, and each time I went, the staff was cool, and the food was consistently above average. It might not be the greatest burrito ever, but it's pretty dang good if you're in the area.

I used to come here a lot under old ownership but stopped coming here now. Last time i came here, i got a skinny ass burrito w barely any meat and mostly rice. New owner: you gotta give more meat, just not worth the value anymore. Chuy's burrito a block away is offering big burritos for around 11 bucks. Stop being cheap!!!

I'm visiting for business and noticed how many taco restaurants there are here. Being as tho it's cinco de mayo I decided to find a spot and and see what they had. I stopped at Marcela's and got 3 super tacos, chips and 3 salsas. All FIRE. I got 2 carne and one el pastor. So good!! The chips have a hint of lime and are perfectly salted. I'll be back before I leave for sure!

Found this place on Yelp. Been living in exile in Hawaii since 2020. No decent taqueria in Hawaii. Called in my order and spoke to a very friendly chica who went over the menu. I ended up ordering a super carne asada burrito. The flavor was great! Very lean steak. A few gristly hard pieces so -1 star for that. Overall very good. Great very tasty salsas, she gave me 4 to try they were all yummy. Really appreciate the friendliness.

Food was ok, not great. We did order it Uber eats, so I take that into consideration. However, there just wasn't any flavor. We had the breakfast burrito, super burrito and nachos. Wouldn't eat any of them again.

This is the second time I ordered from this place when the daughter of the owner happens to be working. I thought paying cash would be thoughtful but when I asked for a receipt, she gave me attitude and said it would be more (I guess bc she had to enter into the register.... They had no customers mind you so I paid Apple Pay instead. I will boycott this place for rude service twice now. No thanks I'll spend my money elsewhere! Too bad

Me and my bestie got burritos from here this past Sunday (9/1/24) before heading out for drinks. Burritos were alright a bit dry, I only ate a little over half and my friend ate the whole thing. By the end of the night we were both not feeling too hot. I assumed it was the tequila, but we honestly didn't have that many drinks. I personally wasn't able to keep anything down for days. I'm writing this on Wednesday the 4th and my stomach still isn't back to normal. Long story short chicken burritos= food poisoning.

I am agree with other reviews, about 8 months ago (last year) when I came here, new owner give the food on tacos little only, like baby food. They put only few steak/meat on it. I used to love old owner and bought tacos often, how I miss them. But now I never come back to this place, I don't want baby portion food with few meat cut on my tacos, and they charged me pricy for this kind of portion.

I live in the neighborhood and since the taqueria I usually go to was closed I decided to try Marcela's. I think it's relatively new in the neighborhood, less than a year old in this location. It used to be a different taqueria. Anyway, I ordered a super red chicken burrito for myself and a regular carnitas taco and a super carnitas taco for my husband. The lady who made my order was very friendly and explained the various tasty looking meats to me. It all looked so good! The cashier was also a very nice lady. That food was so good!! The flavors were really there, the chicken was so tender, the beans were perfect, and it was just tasty. Spice level perfect. Both my husband and I really enjoyed our meal and we decided we had found a new favorite neighborhood taqueria. It was so good I had to call the restaurant and tell them how delicious it was and thank them for their amazing cooking. I'm serious.

Perhaps the best burrito ever, It's crazy how I have to ramble for 85 characters to express this, Chips are great too, woman making the food was super nice, I'm definitely coming back.
