I went here today to get a few things - I saw a case of water on the floor and asked the woman who worked there and she said $17.00... so today is our shelter in place because of the corona virus... I told her u can't do that... u can't raise the price on things like this... she tried to say "they" raised their prices. I said no "they" didn't them she said well they only let u buy 2 at a time now. This is really messed up and You guys should feel terrible for doing something like that $17.00 for 1 case of water. SmhI want to add I have been coming here for over 30 years. It's a shame that you guys would do this....

This is an excellent meat market that has some pretty competitive prices for their beef and pork. I appreciate how the butcher had a conversation with me in his broken English about oxtails and his favorite seasonings for it. Now that's some pretty awesome customer service if I do say so myself. The produce here is also fresh, the prices are competitive and you can always find lots of fresh fruit up in the front luring you in. What they do lack though is some fresh pastries and a fly swatter around said pastries. I love baked good and cookies with sugar in every cubic centimeter but by the looks of the case, so do all the flies within a one block radius. This is also a great place for pinatas if you're looking for some backyard fun for a great price. I wish I had some place to put one or small children I could set it up for but it's nice to keep a local place like this in mind when you're jonesing for Jarritos or fresh papaya.

Crazy. Good meat a a fair price. When I'm making sausage, this is a place I get things like back fat. Scarry pigs heads in the case and LOTS of weird meat cuts. What more could you ask for? This is the best meat market in the Mission.

I've actually never bought meat here :D but wandered in because I just love the name - it's funny!A lovely, clean little place where you can buy bagged herbs and So. American/Mexican specialties like Ducal refried beans, crema amarilla, fat little freshly made corn tortillas and fresh, ripe plantains that are ready to fry, no waiting for a week before you can use them :) Oh, and apparently you can buy pork here too...

I agree with Marianne, I never bought meat here either. This place is a great resource if you are looking for vegetarian Mexican and Latin American products: Guava paste, nanchis, pre-cubed nopalitos, xoconoxtle and guajes. Last time I visited they also have TWO kinds of fresh chayote (the smooth and the prickly kind)! Yeah, you'll never find this stuff at Safeway. They would have received 5 stars but the pan dulce in front of the store didn't seem fresh. I saw a couple of fruit flies flying inside of the case. (But please, don't get me wrong....this place is super clean. The guy was actually moping with super piney pinesol while I was there).

I went in to buy groceries but the lady was so rude. When she rang me up she murmured something about what type of payment i was going to use but since she had a mask on and theres a plastic shield i couldn't hear her properly. She got upset and went to ring up another customer. I felt so disappointed since she just left me standing there.

Where's the ham?.The store staff are very nice but the ham is disappointing. All they have is that kind of ham made of compressed bits - salty, pale and unappetizing. We don't eat ham often but given the store's name "Lucky Pork Market" were hoping for something better. Sigh . . . .
