After walking past Los Hermanos 100+ times I was pleasantly surprised & excited when I finally tried their burrito and found it to be pretty good! I got a carne asada super burrito. The meat is almost ground and is cooked in some sort of spicy sauce. The guac tasted fresh and the sour cream brightened it up. I wish that the burrito was served with salsa (on the side and with chips), will have to order that next time! Also, it's super clean inside and the guys who work there were friendly. All around a great find. Perfect for an easy week night meal.

My SantaCon group ended up in the Marina somehow from Polk St (I joined at 5pm because I'm not a SantaCon fan, nor am I a degenerate, but I am social, so I came for one drink and for the memories!)My friend wanted--nay, needed--a burrito, so we came to Los Hermanos. The restaurant is small, and it was full on SantaCon night! Service was prompt and kind. I ordered a chicken quesadilla and it was very filling--could be two meals if you're small or not toooo hungry. I do appreciate their large portion sizes, and it's also reasonably-priced. I can't speak for my friend who had a burrito and a half, but he really enjoyed them. Will be back if I'm in the Marina and craving a burrito.

I've been going to Los Hermanos for over 16 years, ordering the SAME thing the entire time. I am sad to say that I think I'm done eating here. The food is great - very authentic, and the pricing is fair. I can go to Tacko like everyone else, but there are some things you can get better at Los Hermanos (Chile Colarado, breakfast food, etc.). Service- They've had the same people for most of the years I've been going there. For the most part, you'd get the woman who wears glasses to make your food, but in recent years, they've got this sour faced guy who will make the food when she's not working. If you get him, I hope you don't have allergies or any special requests... and don't even think of insulting him by not wanting a damn "super" version of your burrito! If you ask for it plain, not super (sour cream, guacamole, etc. which is an upsell), he'll try to quiz you anyway by asking if you want sour cream or guacamole. If you respond that you do not, he'll grumble in Spanish and make the food begrudgingly as if you've insulted him. Every time I get him as my food maker, I cry a little inside because he will not listen to instructions. I have been very specific with my wants and never have any issues, but he finds my simple order too simple and tries to spice it up despite my protests. I can't have onions, so I don't get the pico de gallo. 100% of the time, he's dumped the pico in anyway. I get home, find it, dump it all. I'd say something to him if I could catch him in the act, but I don't always see it and by now I think it's on purpose because I did ask him to scrape it off once, before he'd dumped the full scoop on- which is generous of me considering I told him very clearly NO SALSA, NO ONIONS, NOT A SUPER. He'd turned to the cashier and talked sh*t about me while I stood there. I'm nice, I tip well, I've been loyal for years, but this guy just ruined it for good. I'm so sick of throwing out my food because he's a jerk. Please don't confuse him with the guy who actually smiles and is very kind. To the owner- the 3 stars I'm offering are for everyone else who works there. Fire this guy - he doesn't appreciate his job enough to care about what he makes. To the employee in question- Tomatos do not mean salsa or pico. Sometimes, it just means "tomatos." Just because someone doesn't want your standard doesn't mean you have to question everything else that makes up the taco or burrito. It's OK if that means my order only has 5 ingredients! I'm paying for all of it!

We were hungry and just stopped here for a quick lunch. We were positively surprised, this place is super clean, the staff are accommodating and the food tastes good. We looked later at Yelp and so the low number of stars, so decided to leave this review. I recommended this place (if you look for basic Mexican food at a clean place)

This Mexican spot on chestnut is good. It's no frills but a good place for a enchilada plate with flavorful beans and rice. My husband also got the burrito which was good. Service was fast get our food ready. Some indoor seating but not much. Great for take out and decently priced for SF

Needed a quick late-night bite and this was the first place that popped up on Yelp so we tried it. Glad we strolled in bc the food was good, and service was friendly and fast. I got the chicken burrito and at first I was shocked at how much meat there was, but as soon as you get to the middle, there is more rice. The end also had more meat so I think it's just the distribution of the ingredients is all. Hubby got a shrimp burrito which he said was good, and a super taco. Note: I scooped some of the sour cream and quac from the taco to my burrito. Why not.....Would definitely come back again.

Was looking for a quick bite and Los Hermanos really hit the spot! A relatively inexpensive restaurant in the Marina, Los Hermanos has all your favorite Mexican foods. Service is QUICK. I got my nachos within a few minutes and the toppings were heaping. Looking forward to trying the rest of the menu!

I rarely write bad reviews but this place deserves it. I have nothing against the staff, my review is for the nasty food. The rice for my burrito was flavorless and dry, the chicken lacked salt and the worst part of it all was that they only had cheddar cheese. A mexican restaurant without queso fresco, monterey jack or mozzarella?! It's very hard to ruin a burrito, get it together. The tastiest part of my super burrito was the sour cream which is sad. This place seems to be for drunk people only, I highly do not recommend it.

One of the worst burritos of my life, and it looked decent. The crispy carnitas were old and soggy but dry. The rice tasted like nothing. The only salsa had no heat but was flavorful. I finished the burrito wishing I had chipotle instead and I hate that place.I guess it's for the Marina
