Lobby Bar

Good drinks. Terrible service and attitude from bartender and patrons.(We are locals and live in the castro(3 of us). - i was showing my friends(+2) around)We were a group of 5 people. my friend recommended it because of the good drinks. The bar was half-empty. We sat in the front. We sent one person to buy and also to pick up our drinks. because we didn't want to crowd the bar.We did NOT expect table service. Two customers (perhaps friends of the bar tender) came by and made snide marks to us about the bar being busy and bartender didn't have time for us. we thought that was odd?then we went to pick up our drinks which were at the bar- just three done- while she was working on the other two. which was fine. we picked them up and brought them to our group. then the bartender brings the two other drinks and tells us "like we are stupid" that she doesn't have time to do table service. (which we didn't expect)" This is so weird cause we are 5 ppl buying drinks why would you talk that way to customers- we gave em- the benefit of the doubt and still tipped 20%- I'm guessing they had a bad day and taking it out on customers or new and overwhelmed. I wanted to like this place but that was my experience.

This bar was a delightful surprise. I'm unsure if they serve food, I came in just for sips with friends. Our server was very patient and knowledgeable, and made a delicious espresso martini. A fun fact I learned is, all of the spirit served are small batches. The ambiance is masculine but inviting. The best part was The restroom is definitely a photo op, I won't spoil the surprise, but it's with checking out.

My friends and I stopped by Lobby Bar for post-dinner drinks on a Saturday evening. The area near the bar was pretty crowded but the front of the house was quite empty. I particularly enjoyed this part of the bar because the loud music doesn't reach so you're able to have a conversation without having to yell loudly.I ordered a Manhattan and it was stiff, as a properly made one should be. It was priced lower than your average cocktail bar so this was a welcomed surprised. Along with your classic cocktails, I was also surprised to find a tiki drink -- the Saint Tiki, "roe & co whiskey, falernum, mommenpop kumquat, peach, mint, yerba mate, lemon" -- on the menu, considering this was not a tiki bar.I only stayed around for one drink, but would happily drop by again to try out some of their other creative cocktails.

Bar atmosphere is really cute, but the service is terrible. The bartender was rude and made us feel we were a burden being there. She told us to move from the bar to make way for other customers as if we weren't paying customers. Won't be going back due to the service.

I'm glad this place is closing. Maybe the next owner will find a way to run it without offending their customers or ignoring people waiting for a drink while the bartender ignores someone waiting for 10+ minutes for a glass of wine.

Nice bar, decent drinks, space gets tight on the weekends and drinks can take a minute but overall nice vibe

Fun bar great drinks and service... nice place to relax and conversation. Especially in the evening when everyone is at dinner

Ava was amazing, her drinks were made beautifully and tasted even better. Her customer service was through the roof and the ambiance and energy at the bar was spectacular. A go to spot in the Castro for sure. Ava made the experience.

This has got to be one of my favorite bars in the Castro. The drinks here are phenomenal in uniqueness but also in flavor! The food here is great to have a couple of semi light bites before going out and about. The atmosphere of this bar is so cute. It's almost like a speakeasy vibe. It's kinda towards the end of the Castro busy area but it's still busy here. I think it's more of a local spot. The bartenders are so cool here. I get more of a vibe that they enjoy their jobs and have fun with it.
