A longstanding gem in the West Portal neighborhood for grab-and-go authentic Italian fare, Little Original Joe's is a lively corner shop to stop in for deli, pizza, pasta and even soft serve. Many order on their website then come and pick-up. Otherwise, order at the cashier and the friendly staff will bag your goodies when ready. We ordered a slice of pizza, spicy vodka pasta, and a chicken parm sandwich. The latter was more carbs than protein, but their pizzas and pasta are da bomb!Few Al fresco tables outside, don't expect to find a seat, especially on weekends.

for $16, this sandwich is a steal in sf. there was a plenty amount of prosciutto and buratta cheese. theres limited outdoor seating but its awesome on a sunny day. also acts as a grocery market with lots of items such as olive oil, plants, etc. the only con was that my friends sandwich came out significantly earlier and i had to follow up to then see my order made.

Probably my favorite to-go pizza slice in the city. Over the past couple years I've been here every day of the week to try out all the daily slices and I can say that there's no "bad" slice except for the chicken and bbq sauce one they serve (I believe on Sat). If you like bbq sauce and chicken on your pizzas, that may be your thing! Their individual slices come super warm and crispy, and it's affordable from $3.50-$4.50 a slice!Their whole pizzas are great, but since they're fresh out of the oven they lose that crisp bottom crust the individual to go slices give you. Instead the bottom becomes soggy and soft due to the heat generated from the pizza on the card board. Re-heat or toast the pizza and you're good.they used to serve their pizza with parmesan and red peppers in small plastic containers, but they've recently transitioned to the classic pizza joint ones in the paper bags. I definitely preferred the previous Parmesan they gave to their customers.

The customer service was excellent, but the slice of cheese pizza I got was a bit salty. They had such an adorable selection of Valentine's Day goodies when I visited. I might return to give it another shot someday.

Came for Zanze Cheesecake, stayed for pizza and soft serve.Honestly, it was difficult to buy Zanze's Cheesecake back when they were in business because they would often sell out and holidays would be only pre orders. But now, it is so much easier to pick up from a store. And it tasted the same! So happy this dessert lives on.While we were there, we got a Slice of the Day pizza - a delicious combo mix with meats and veggies. Thin crust with a chewy edge. I enjoyed it alot. The dutch chocolate soft serve was just OK, not creamy enough for me.

A grocery store with a lot of staple Italian items and a to go order Italian food such as pizzas and pastas.Somewhat difficult to eat there since there is only 4 tables outside, so best is to go option. Ordered the Californian pizza ($32) vodka pasta ($22), quite pricey for to takeout pasta in my opinion. Not just pricey, but my rigatoni noodles were overcooked. The pizza was delicious though and large family style pizza. Great dough stretch and each bite was filled with toppings.Found Zanze's cheesecake (now CLOSED since the owner retired, but cheesecake store that was a few blocks away on Ocean Ave) which was super awesome, able to have a staple during holidays or any day!

I came here for dinner with my friends, and I love how cozy, aesthetic, and warm this place is! Little Original Joe's is a little market cornerstore that also sells Italian food! We sat at a little table outside and a server came by with water and checked on our pizza order before we brought it out.We got their PB&A pizza, and it was so different than what I'm used to, but I like it a lot! The crust was so light and not crispy. It's an airy crust that they bake first and add the toppings later. So our prosciutto was not crispy, but I think that tender bite with the airy crust pair well together. The burrata was so soft and delicious, and the arugula ties it all together. One of the best pizzas I have ever had! I will definitely come back!

I love going to the little joes market. Such a cute concept to pick up your favorite pasta and meats frozen and cook them at home for a cheaper price than the restaurant! They have such an amazing selection as well as pizzas & salads! The food never misses here.

I came here recently on a Sunday for lunch. Place is pretty packed, but line moves quickly and food comes out pretty fast. There's a decent amount of seating outside, but given the amount of people there, I just got lucky, and I don't think you should expect to eat there unless you're ready to wait a bit. I got a slice of pizza as well as half a rotisserie. The pizza was great. Super nice crisp on the bottom, quite flavorful, not overly salted. It's not 100% my style; the crust is a bit doughier than I would have liked, but still enjoyed it. The rotisserie was also good. Chicken was juicy, but I don't think it was fully marinated through as the interior was quite plain. Luckily, you get a few sauces with it, and I would 100% recommend you to get the green sauce. Super delicious. The honey mustard was a bit weird and didn't quite go with the chicken.Definitely will be back if in the area!

The Chicken Caesar wrap is my all time favorite from Little Original Joes. It's consistently delicious. The chips that come on the side give the wrap an extra crunch. Also the side of pickles are perfection. One of my favorite spots to order delivery from on the weekends.
