I thought I had a Yelp lead here. 11:30am Friday I walked into the store to try this controversial teriyaki bento box. I found a cool, dark convenience store, and a clerk relaxing behind the register. I asked about the teriyaki, and he said no. There is no teriyaki bento box here anymore. I'll update this review if I ever need something from the corner convenience store.

For a liquor store next to the ballpark, this place is pretty damn cheap. The clientele gets more and more unsavory as game time approaches, and the lines get longer, but you might as well grab some low-priced sunflower seeds and water/drinks before heading into the ballpark, where things explode 500% over retail price. You can get pretty much any type of ballpark snack here for really cheap. I only lament the fact that there are way too drunkards who frequent this place before/after games.

Was just wandering around waiting for some friends to get to the Caltrain and strolled in. Non alcoholic selection is ok. Got an Ito-En green tea for about $3 which is a bit on the high side. BUt I guess that's what you pay for convenience!

The couple that owns this corner store are super friendly. The "More" refers to the Bento box they sell during lunch. Their teriyaki lunches seem to sell real well too. Sometimes I'll come around 2pm and it'll be sold out! In all honesty, the food isn't what I'm used to when I order from a Japanese restaurant, but for the price, I think it's well worth it and it fills you up. Sometimes, they'll even throws in a cup of miso soup on the house, delicious, especially on cold days. I usually come here to buy soda and chips because I rather support the mom-and-pop shops rather than Walgreens or Safeway. Plus, like I said, they're really nice people.

This has been my corner store for almost 2.5 years now, ever since I moved to the city. I have never been disappointed--the owner and his wife are so amazingly nice and friendly, and they keep a well-stocked (and great smelling!) store. You can even get eggs there if you've forgotten, but usually I end up going for a) beer, b) coke, or c) candy.During baseball season the store stays open later, and if there are events on Saturdays the store will also be open more often. They will never work on Sundays, though--the owners are devoutly religious--and I do miss being able to run across the street on a Sunday morning to grab whatever it is that we've forgotten. One thing: I did like it when the store was called "Liquor & Things" rather than "Liquor & More" but what can you do?

It's so nice to walk into the corner liquor store and walk out with a bag of delicious fresh food. I get the terriyaki chicken which is about twice the amount of food I could ever eat and comes with free miso soup too. $5.95 --which is unheard of for lunch in SOMA.I wish they had a few more options on the menu, but what they do, they do well.Oh yeah, the liquor store sells cloves & Nat Shermans, too!

Liquor AND More. As if the liquor isn't already wonderful, they have MORE. Sometimes more is less. In this case, more is more.(Minus three stars for not carrying Fernet. [insert "Little Rascals" style index fingers "shame, shame" gesture])

I walk by this store everyday, so when I need a beverage, pack of gum, etc. this is where I will go. It's almost always the same young guy working the counter. He's super nice, but super quiet. It would be awesome if they decided to carry half and half though because my boss always needs more of it, and it would make life so much more convenient! It's really small and just has the basic essentials.
