Lavash immediately draws you in with its aesthetic outdoor parklet and the inside has a cozy, warm ambiance as well. I went with a group of 6 and this was the perfect order for everyone to leave full. Appetizers: - Sabzi Panir (4/5) - Kashk-e Bademjan (5/5): my new dip addiction.- Lavash salad (5/5)Mains: - Koobideh kabob plate ( 5/5) - Joojeh skewers (4/5) - Darya special (5/5) All of the kabobs were amazing. Everything was perfectly cooked, seasoned, and the portion size was not lacking! Can't go wrong with any of these. Overall, Lavash has great food, great service, and is definitely a spot to visit time and time again when you're looking for amazing Persian food in the city.

Finally got around to trying Lavash and it did not disappoint. The food was DELICIOUS and portions were pretty big too. The ambiance inside is intimate and perfect for small groups (most parties were 2 people). Service was friendly except for maybe a slight miscommunication about taking away our appetizer plates? They told my friend she could keep hers but then took mine away to make space even though we were both clearly still eating appetizers lol. Besides that one instance, they were very attentive about refilling our water and checking in with us throughout the meal.We ordered:- Kashk-e Bademjan (seasoned roasted eggplant spread, garnished with sun-dried yogurt sauteed onion, roasted garlic, mint flakes, and saffron) - this was a rec from our waitress and was SO delicious. If you are an eggplant + garlic lover, this is a must!- Bademjan (lamb shank simmered in tomato sauce with roasted eggplant & unripe grapes; topped with cinnamon) - just wow! The flavors were so delicious, the lamb was soft and tender, and again the eggplant really made the dish complete for me.- Koobideh (2 skewers of mixed ground beef and lamb with saffron seasoning) - simple yet satisfying! This would be a solid go-to if I were to come again. It comes with rice, lavash bread, a grilled tomato, and raw onions on the side (so yummy with the meat + rice). They also gave sumac on the side to add on top which I had never tried before but I enjoyed!- They also gave a complimentary appetizer plate which was so simple, refreshing, and yummy. All the ingredients tasted fresh and clean.Overall, besides the awkward appetizer plate interaction, I would definitely come back and recommend others to try as well! (although can be a bit on the pricey side).Pro tip: make a reservation for inside seating! - otherwise seating will likely be in the outside parklet

Where to start? Here's the TLDR you have been waiting for:Service: 10/10 (quick to seat and order; food came out piping hot)Food: 9.5/10 (delicious and tasty; more of a texture thing)Ambiance: 10/10 (super cute, accommodating and not too busy)I would definitely be making this a go-to place for future reservations. Ambiance and service was a 10/10. For a party of 6, they catered our dishes to be family style and it was just the right amount of food. Now, let's talk food. Here is our order: AppetizersSabzi Paneer (think Persian charcuterie board; yummy and a must have before the meat and carb heavy dinner)Kashk-E Bademjan (eggplant style dip to die for with the provided Lavash bread) MainYogurt Salad - a must with the meat and carbs to cut the butter rice and meat juice (rounds out each bite)Lavash Salad (very clean and well rounded salad)Koobideh (the star of the show - a must buy)Darya Special - super yummy; note if you add the chicken skewer the chicken texture is a bit rubbery to a few people. Persian style cuisine normally cooks like this and I was fine but the texture may be off putting to some. Desserts (None* because we were full after our meal)

I hadn't been back in 8 yrs. This time we made sure to call in advance and make reservations even tho the place had plenty of seating when we arrived. The ambiance was good, our server was friendly and the food arrived in a timely manner. Thankfully the rude older woman we encountered yrs ago wasn't around, or at least she didn't speak with us. I ordered the chicken kabob and koobideh (ground beef kabob) combo and my husband got the barg (beef kabob). My husband asked for butter for the rice and the waiter said it already had butter but neither of us really tasted butter. The skewers of meat were a bit smaller than we were expecting but everything was flavorful. But the best was the koobideh. Koobideh is easy to get wrong but this was just right. Prices are pretty on par with the rest of San Francisco.

The short and sweet: delicious but pricey. Light airy atmosphere, beautiful decor and tableware, quick service, and incredible food. The joojeh was amazing! The chicken was tender and flavorful, the rice was soft and yummy, and the plating fun and dynamic. Great spot!

Uh the food is so good?? I came here after playing tennis nearby with a friend for a Saturday late lunch, and we sat outside since it was a nice day. The servers were nice and helped us through the menu. We got thr roasted eggplant dip with yogurt sauteed onion which was soo flavorful wow better than any baba ganoush I've had. I liked pairing that with the cucumber and tomato (though was not as big on the hunk of cheese). Our soltani combo plate was also delicious - very juicy meat and fragrant rice with well-charred tomatoes. They just do the yogurt sauce so well too. The only thing I don't like as much as other typical mediterranean style places is the bread (I'm personally more of a poofy doughy bread person). Definitely a great experience overall.I also went to an event at a different date where they did brunch catering and it was also all tasty!

Our experience was absolutely phenomenal! We were fortunate to be hosted by Rose, Rustam, and Tuba, who made us feel incredibly welcome and ensured everything was perfect. Even though we dined outside, the ambiance was enchanting, with Persian music playing softly in the background, adding a magical touch to our meal. The food was outstanding! We chose the "Taste of Persia," which was an ideal choice for my wife and me. Every bite was packed with flavor and left us wanting more. This place is a must-visit--I wholeheartedly recommend it!

Excellent meal, located in the popular-foodie-street Irving. Service was very attentive! They have outdoor dining and indoor. Outdoors also has blankets that you can have if you're feeling cold. I went for my solo-birthday meal dinner. I got the following:-Bakhitari kabob ($37): this was beef and chicken with rice and their bread. I thought the beef tasted better than the chicken, so I would prob just get the beef next time. But still was an excellent meal-Baklava with pistachio ice cream ($12): delicious ice cream and baklava, so fresh!-Red wine ($15): pairs well with meat

Lavash is a very nice Mediterranean restaurant in the Inner Sunset that has wonderful service and ambiance. I was there with a rather large group of women and the servers were attentive and very patient with us. I had the Joojeh, a chicken kabob skewer marinated in lime, saffron, and olive oil and served with saffron rice, Lavash bread, onions, and a grilled tomato ($19). While it was good, I would have preferred if it had come with some kind of sauce because the rice seemed rather plain and the chicken was a bit on the dry side. The leftovers that were brought home benefited from some leftover cilantro and lime tzatziki I had on hand; it was perfect with the addition of the sauce. Before they brought our meals, they brought hummus, lavash bread, tomatoes, cucumbers, and olives to the table. I'm not sure, but I guess this was complimentary for all diners, which was a nice addition. All my dining companions seemed to enjoy the dishes they ordered. A couple of the ladies ordered together and shared their bounty, so they were able to try lots of things. This would probably be a good idea for those who like to share. All in all, I'd return. Nice addition to the neighborhood.

I am Persian so my family and I are very picky about our Persian food but I will say everyone enjoyed their food at Lavash very much! The food was delicious and seasoned well and the staff was very nice and attentive. I also want to note it was beautiful inside. The outdoor setting was really pretty too and if it wasn't so cold and windy we probably would've sat outside and enjoyed their flower set up. Only con is they have only one bathroom so as they were getting busier, the line started forming. I also hope they add some toilet seat covers in the future. All in all, it was a very enjoyable experience for my entire family and I highly recommend trying this place out if you're in the area!
