After getting my wrecked at Pilates, I took a much-needed 10-minute cooldown walk to Kopiku. We had to stop by--good pandan lattes are hard to find in the city, and I was excited to see it on the menu!Their menu is small but well-curated, and the owner personally recommended their top drinks. Loved that they make their pandan fresh daily--you can really taste the difference. Plus, they host cool pop-up events every Saturday, which is such a fun touch!

Kopiku Coffee is such a cute and cozy cafe in Russian Hill! The cafe offers Indonesian-inspired drinks and treats. They have a couple tiny tables, but it's mostly a grab and go type of spot. They do have free wifi here but keep in mind the tables are a bit small. You can work here if you don't mind the tiny tables. It looked like the family owned spot and I love to supporting businesses like these! The workers were so sweet and they play great music.I ordered the pandan matcha and it was a bit steep at $7.25. The drink was very pretty and the cup was large. However, the matcha wasn't as strong as I'd like. The pandan flavor wasn't overly sweet and mixed well with the matcha. Next time, I do want to try their espresso drinks.

I love pandan. It's something I'll go out of my way for and will always get excited when seeing it on the menu! Companion and I came across Kopiku Coffee for their drinks and knew we had to make a stop. It was both of our first times at an Indonesian cafe and we left impressed! The cafe is super cute and a little watering hole! Inside gives off a sort of minimalistic and aesthetic look. The bar itself is long where order is placed at the front and drinks are picked up at the end. A decent amount of narrow tables available for those to sit and chat at--not big enough to work at in my opinion. The baristas were so friendly and sweet and also made our drinks relatively fast. The cafe is dog-friendly which is always a plus for me! I got an Iced Pandan Matcha with Oat Milk while my companion got a Hot Chai Latte with Oat Milk. The pandan matcha was heavenly. The perfect ratio of sweet and light pandan balanced with creamy milk and earthy matcha. All flavors shined, which can be hard to come by in lattes at times. I'd get it again and again! Loved my companion's chai too. Kopiku Coffee is an amazing cafe in the city! For all coffee and tea lovers, you'll have the opportunity to grab traditional drinks or unique Indonesian-inspired ones. Highly recommend it to all in the area. The cafe is tucked on Lombard Street with street parking around the area.

3/1/25 - I've been wanting to try this place so badly and I finally had a chance! It's always packed and their sticky rice in banana leaf dish reminded me of a Vietnamese sticky rice dish! Their butter bread reminded me of the sweet butter bread Vietnamese people have too! Amazing food and the Pandan coffee was also not too sweet and not too bitter!

This is the BEST cafe I've been to in a while in SF. The interior is so cute, the workers are incredibly kind and although there is a bit of a line, it goes by quick!I got the kopi pandan and it was so so creamy, not too sweet and gave me the perfect boost of energy. It had such a unique taste, the pandan mixes very well with coffee.

Cannot rave enough about this place!! The service was amazing, everyone was so friendly and attentive. I felt they really took the time to answer any questions we had or just made friendly conversation. The coffee was amazing!! It wasn't too sweet but the perfect amount of everything. Definitely recommend coming here and sitting down!

Another day, another drive to get matcha bc Tik Tok told us so. This time we drove all the way to Van Ness and Lombard for some Pandan coffees. D3 opted for the coconut matcha as she's not a fan of coffee. Luckily we found street parking as the lot in front is blocked off. The Pandan coffee is smooth and lightly sweet. The Pandan flavor is evident but very light. Delicious. D2's coconut matcha was delicious as well. Would we go again? Sure. But we won't go out of our way like that again for it, maybe if we're in the area, which isn't very often.

Kopiku has been on my try list for a while now and I finally made it out this past weekend! There are a lot of great coffee shops in SF, but Kopiku stands out as the only spot that uses Indonesian flavors in their drinks and snacks. There are other bakeries and cafes that have a couple items with this kind of flair but none that lean into it completely like Kopiku.I couldn't try many items this time around and only ordered the kopi pandan. It's like a latte with pandan flavoring and sweet cream on top. Love that the pandan flavor is super strong even in an espresso drink. This is definitely a sweet treat - if you prefer strong black coffee this is probably not the one to get. The default cup size is also pretty large - around 16 oz compared to the usual 12 oz you get in other cafes. I enjoyed it though and the portion was perfect to share with my partner. I'm definitely coming back to sample other drinks and their Indonesian snacks (rice cakes, pastries, etc) available as well. The space is small, but there's lots of cute seating on the side of the cafe and some benches outdoors as well. Loved the Indonesian decor and vintage roasting equipment as well. Solid spot and a wonderful gathering spot for the neighborhood.

This place was sooo good! I need to come back to try more things, but I got the kopi klepon & lemper for my first visit. The pandan and coconut tasted great with the coffee, it's probably one of my favorite pandan drinks I've had so far. I wasn't familiar with the snack items so I got the lemper to try something new, and it was delicious warmed up. The rice was nice and aromatic with the coconut milk, and I enjoyed the chicken filling. The staff was also very friendly, and explained the different snack items to help me pick! The cafe itself is small but has a row of seats with individual small table/surfaces attached, and a cozy atmosphere. I'm not sure about parking in the area, but I found easy parking at fort mason just a few blocks away, which was also a nice spot to walk back to & enjoy my drink while looking out at the bay!
