I had a great time visiting Kona's on a Friday evening to check out their Christmas decorations and holiday drinks. There was about a 15 min wait to get in and it was pretty packed, but the service was great and fast + no cover charge. I got the Sippin Santa, a standard rum-based drink that was decently strong. We also ordered the Sippin Santa and Choquito as mocktails and were really impressed by how yummy all the drinks were for a reasonable price. They also came in cute themed mugs that can be purchased. I was a big fan of the fun decor and would love to come back next year.

Anyone that names their business after their dog, I'M THERE!Opening in 2021, Kona's is the little sister of award-winning Pacific Cocktail Haven. Shortly after opening, Kona's was listed on Esquire's "Best Bars of America". Indoor seating only. Dog-friendly!M E N UCraft cocktails inspired by street markets across the globe. Most cocktails on the menu are $18. For snacks, they have cup noodles, corn nuts, and chicharrónes. 5% SF mandate added to all bills. D R I N K S* Ranch Water: Milagro Blanco Tequila w/ guava, spice ($18): https://tinyurl.com/5e4cn7pzLight on the alkie, easy to drink with a pleasant tropical sweetness. * Boracay Old Fashioned: No. 3 Gin w/ blanc vermouth, bay leaf, coconut water, pandan, calamansi ($18): https://tinyurl.com/2f5jxvkmRefreshing with a nice earthy flavor with vanilla-y and citrusy notes. Not too sweet. Reminds of PCH's leeward negroni but lighter on the alkie. I appreciate the little touches like the custom etched large ice cube. * Hendrick's Gin shaken w/ twist ($12): https://tinyurl.com/2s3b8wckThe two cocktails barely gave me a buzz so Hendrick's to the rescue. Solid and served in a chilled glass. For the drunchies, we ordered a bag of 4505's Chicharrones ($8). S E R V I C EThe bartenders were awesome - very upbeat and personable. Tina was so sweet! She gave TT lots of love, treats, and water. Unfortunately, our server seemed to be having a bad day. As soon as we walked in, he stopped us and ask that we show our IDs (no "Hi") and kept passing our table without taking our drink order (not busy with two other tables). Ended up having to go to the bar for the three rounds and to pay our tab.A M B I A N C ELove the AZN night market vibes! Dark and colorful with the custom neon sign of the owner's pittie. Mix of table seating and bar seating. There are arcade games, a pool table, and TVs. Boiler Room and Point Break was playing. P A R K I N GNearest garage is across the street at Hearst Parking Center ($12 first hour). Overall, loved the vibes of Kona's but I thought the cocktails weren't as great as PCH's. Would return tho and stick with the basics.

Kona's is currently doing a cute Christmas pop up so we had to come check it out. Cute decorations all around with a Santa pop out in the front, Christmas lights overhead, and gift wrapping paper on the walls. There's limited number of bar seating and tables, but if you're just walking in, you can usually snag standing space near the number of ledges they have around the bar. For a Saturday night, it can get pretty loud, but the foot traffic comes and goes throughout the night. The menu offered a variety of tiki-themed drinks with rum, but my friends and I ordered the Yule Tide with tequila. Drinks were reasonably priced for themed cups and moderately strong. The bartenders were in theme with their buttoned up shirts and Santa hats, keeping the image of tiki bar meets Christmas on vacation. Worth checking out and I would definitely try some of the other drinks next time.

12/7I guess Santa Claus can come in various forms, and he doesn't just reside on the North Pole.Where: my friends and I stumbled upon this bar that is currently all decked out in Tiki Christmas decor. If you want to see how Santa Claus fairs in warm tropical climates, then this is where you should be this holiday season. You'll find this bar within walking steps to the Hyatt Regency San Francisco Downtown Soma. What: Santa in Hawaiian shirts, Tiki themed stockings, and colorful lights can be experienced here. All of the holiday themed drinks can be enjoyed in an equally holiday themed mug. The mugs can also be purchased. For collateral, the bartenders will ask for an ID/Drivers License, and will be returned when the mug is returned. How: we all ordered the Sipping Santa, which is a mojito based drinks. Pretty tasty, and though the mug is a bit cheesy, but certainly fits the theme of the season. Thoughts: while the bar itself was a bit crowded, the ambiance was still very festive. I had a good experience here.

I was curious to try Kona's since I like their sister bar, Pacific Cocktail Haven. However, while Kona's was lively and festively decorated for the holidays, I found the drinks a bit too pungent but without the unique, individual flavours emphasized. I also felt like they were very pricey for what we received. At PCH, I justify the price point because the drinks are delicious with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Kona's tiki bar drinks didn't live up to the same high standards.

We came to Kona's for their Xmas pop up and really enjoyed the festive atmosphere and holiday drinks. It can get crowded right after work but they have the bar and some tables that are first come first serve as well as reserved tables. Their drinks are on the stronger/sweeter side so keep that in mind if you're not a fan of that.

I've been to this spot several times, and it always delivers a great experience. Most recently, I stopped by to check out their Christmas decorations this year, which truly didn't disappoint. The festive atmosphere was warm and inviting, with twinkling lights, garlands, and a cozy holiday vibe that set the perfect tone for the season. I ordered the Holiday on Ice, a seasonal holiday drink, and I really enjoyed it! It had rich, festive flavors that perfectly captured the holiday spirit. The drink was smooth and indulgent--definitely a creative twist on a holiday classic.

Went here for the Xmas bar pop-up and the interior was nice and festive. Everything from the design to the Christmas themed drinks and the music playing were on theme. Service was great and they were very organized with the ordering of drinks and serving our party. The Christmas themed cocktails tasted great (I ordered the Holiday on Ice) and I loved that there wasn't a cover charge. I'd say this was definitely worth the experience. I have to visit Kona's again when they do other themed pop-ups.

Visited on a Friday night for their Christmas cocktails and decorations. Despite a 40 minute wait due to a delay in drink preparations, the experience was worth it. The bar was decked out with Christmas lights, lanterns, and Santas, creating a festive atmosphere. We were lucky to snag a table immediately. While service was a bit slow, our friendly waiter made up for it, and the drinks didn't disappoint. I'd love to return and explore their menu outside of the holiday pop-up!
