Kaiyo Rooftop

Did not try food because we already ate, but the drink I tried was very tasty and sweet, dangerously sweet should I say.Service was extremely attentive and friendly. We were walked to the elevator and escorted to the bar. This is place is easier to enjoy the couches if a reservation was made.Ambiance was very warm and lively, as everyone was just having a good time near the heat and the rooftop view.

LOVE rooftops in the city like these, I loved the view from up here! The seating area is so perfect for a GNO to catch up with some friends. This place is on point with their decoration, ambience, and aesthetic feel. I appreciated the decorative drinks, LED lights, and holiday decor they had every time I've visited. I would suggest coming here on a warm sunny day in the city since it can get cold or windy. Drinks came out fast and bartender was friendly! Food was yummy, I tried a few sushi rolls and they were freshly made. Def would recommend this place to get a scenic view of the city and enjoy good company!

got here for a quick dinner as the kitchen was about to close. food was great! value was not great, it is pretty pricey for what you get (both for food & drinks)service and ambiance was amazing, you're able to stay on the ground or take the elevator up to the rooftop where you can order small bites or drinks with a view. would probably not come back here for food. drinks? maybe. this place very revolves around vibes!

This is some of the best fusion food I have ever had! I went here for my birthday dinner and I was impressed to say the least. Every dish marries Japanese and Peruvian techniques and ingredients incredibly well, so much so that you can taste the separate influences in every bite while the different flavors meld and complement each other perfectly. The view of the city especially at sunset makes this an incredibly romantic spot for a date night. The service is also impeccable. Try it out!

Came as a party of 2 on a Wednesday at 9:00 PM for a reservation. It was confusing to find and we were thankfully escorted to the 12th level. Parking: Can be challenging. We ended up parking at a spot down the street, so be prepared to walk a bit.Ambience: The vibe was chill. The overall lighting was too dim for photos, but we were seated near a heat lamp, which was much appreciated. The monitor screen in the area was way too bright.Service: The service was quick, friendly, and attentive, making the experience smooth despite other issues.Food & Drinks:Tuna Tataki Tiradito - 3/10: Overly salty and overpriced. Space Adventure Cobra - 8/10: A beautifully presented cocktail that wasn't too strong but had a pleasant balance of flavors.Poko - 8/10: A stronger drink with a distinct tequila taste that was nicely balanced by the sweetness of guava.Summary: Kaiyo Rooftop offers great drinks, but the food didn't meet expectations, possibly due to what we ordered.

This restaurant is absolutely fantastic and beautiful. We ordered the Aka and Cobra drinks and they were delicious. Not too sweet and very tasty. The presentation was also beautiful. We also ordered the yucca fries, harvest salad, miso black cod, and the ceviche roll. The fries were perfect and were accompanied by a fantastic dipping sauce. The harvest salad was SO good and is really a must order appetizer, the flavors of the dressing and all the ingredients together were amazing. The miso black cod literally melts in your mouth, and the flavoring of the broth it comes in is wonderful. The ceviche roll was something I had never tried before but it was incredible, and I'm now a huge fan of ceviche rolls! The rooftop is gorgeous and service was fantastic, overall 10/10 experience and I was very impressed with everything.

We stopped by via reservation around 5pm last Friday, and the experience was pretty good!It was pretty empty once we got up, which was a little surprising. Then again, it was kinda early in the night. It picked up a little by the time we left around 7:00. Overall vibe and ambiance was good. Upbeat music in the back, beautiful views of the city, a nice bar, and plenty of seating throughout the rooftop. Service was great, all employees of the establishment were kind and helpful. I'd say the ambiance/vibe/service are all strong points at Kaiyo Rooftop.The best way I can describe the food is "good/decent". We ordered many things - beef empanadas, Japanese crispy shrimp, fries, a lomo saltado roll, and a spicy tuna roll. The beef empanadas and Japanese crispy shrimp were both good, but needed something to elevate the dish. Both fell slightly flat? The fries were delicious! The spicy tuna roll was fresh, no complaints. Finally, the lomo saltado roll was interesting - it was our first time having an angus sushi roll. Cool to try, but wouldn't order over another fish roll again. The drinks were yummy, but very sweet! All around, fun experience but I'd definitely look to try other similar establishments in the city before circling back around.

went where for drinks and got the Aka (red) and something else (i forget), and it was pretty good! very interesting mix of flavors and the ambiance is so nice. very good vibes and the staff were friendly

I originally made a reservation for 2 at 7p on 4/15 for a late Valentines dinner and we were fortunate enough to have our reservation changed to 6:30p when we called an hour prior! The sun had just set which allowed for a very dim and romantic ambiance that's just perfect for date night. The very first thing I noticed was that there were heaters above every table providing a comfy and warm dining experience, and also a huge projector screen that was live-streaming the NBA all star game.Food: my boyfriend and I ordered 3 things to share: the Chicken Katsu Sando, the Yucca Fries, and the Nikkei Wings. The star of the show was definitely the chicken sando! The chicken was so juicy and tender, the milk bread was really soft, and I loved how it was accompanied by a salad with a lightweight dressing (I'm not the biggest fan of strong tasting dressings). The yucca fries were good as well, however I did have a couple of pieces that were slightly undercooked and hard. I definitely had better yucca fries elsewhere. & the wings were just.. okay. I was slightly disappointed because the overall seasoning and taste of them were great, however the meat itself was SO dry. It was surprising because the chicken in the chicken sando was amazing but the wings just fell short. I had to lather them in the aioli sauce provided in order to enjoy it. On the other hand, the drinks we ordered were delicious! We also ordered shots on the side that were pretty pricey ($16 each shot) but the bartender was pretty heavy handed on the pours so at the end of the day, it was worth the money.Service: service was alright! We were told we would get a refill for our water bottle however the water bottle never made it back to our table. & we also never received any spoons for our dessert until almost 10 minutes later when our server came to check in on us. When all the other small bites arrived, we never received a check in from our server either. Parking: parking was easy! There is a parking lot located a block away that is connected to the nearby Safeway. It is a little pricey ($5 for every 30 mins) but it's San Francisco.. what do you expect lolOverall, I would definitely come back for another date night. Although service and some food items weren't entirely the best, I did enjoy the experience and would love the share it with others in the future!

Great service at the Bar by Jade and an Amazing ambiance!Food and drinks are both innovate and well executed. Strongly reccomended for anyone in SF or anyone visiting town!
