Never heard of this truck until I looked up the Spark Social food truck lineup near work. It's no frills truck, lots of pictures of menu items and bright painted colors. I had the kawailsilog - crispy fried pork belly with garlic rice and fried egg. It was good and decent sized portion for the price. I usually don't like too crispy of fried goods so the more crunchy pieces I didn't care for. But the pork pieces were good. Garlic rice was ehh.The lumpia was a good portion and were aright. Nothing too special about em.

It makes me happy that this spot is still thriving during these crazy times. Their "silogs" are incredible and the portions definitely leave one feeling satisfied. The Lechon Kawali Silog is tough to beat with the generous portion of fried pork, lots of tasty garlic fried rice and a runny egg on the side. They typically show up at Spark Social in Mission Bay at least once or twice a month...just look at their online schedule. While they just closed Spark Social for outdoor dining, the food trucks are still there and available for to-go orders.Definitely support this business!

Was craving Filipino food and gave jeepsilog a shot! I had their lechon kawali with rice and egg as they are known for that. I liked how the lechon kawali wasn't oily at all. It was pretty crispy too, the skin is the best part! It definitely satisfied my Filipino food cravings but I just wished that they gave less rice and more meat and sauce lol.Customer service was great!

It feels like there are more Filipino food trucks than Filipino restaurants in San Francisco. But hey, whatever, I'll take it however I can get it. Bursting with deliciousness, a great lunch choice.Kawalisilog: No pretense about being healthy. Just deep fried pork belly, white rice and sauce! So indulgent though. It's quite rich and thus very filling. The texture is just perfect for the meat. Also, love the tang of the sauce. Not an everyday food, but worth splurge.

Since I work @SFO, I every now and then go and check out off the grid that is scheduled to come by the airport. And I came across Jeepsilog. My co workers and I went and grab a combo from their menu and it was just super delicious. Food was cooked and made fresh. Service is excellent since they're super friendly. The presentation as well is so authentic. Overall we enjoyed our food and will definitely look forward for their return again at Off the grid in SFO.

Special fundraising event brought the Jeepsilog truck to the government center in Redwood City. I've been meaning to try this truck out but never had the time so was definitely checking them out on my lunch break. *~My order~*"Special" (salted egg) BibingkaKawalisilog (Crispy Side Pork) & Lumpia Combo served w/ Garlic Fried Rice & EggI really enjoyed the kawalisilog as it was really crispy with a good amount of meat and not all fat. The garlic rice wasn't extremely strong (I love garlic tho so like it super strong) but good since it wasn't too dry or soggy. The egg wasn't runny or even soft boiled so was quite disappointed about that. The lumpia wasn't skinny and decently filled. The "special" bibingka had the egg added to order so it took awhile to come out. Bibingka is a baked rice cake in banana leaves. Loved how it was warm instead of cold/room temperature. It wasn't dry and the base not too sweet. My order did take about 30min to come out (the additional time due to the "special" bibingka) so not something to get if you're in a rush. Otherwise, food is pretty good from a food truck.

I hadn't tried this truck in the weekly lineup at my work, so I decided to give it a shot recently! They've got a nice selection of Filipino meats, served in either rice plates or burritos.I ended up getting the tocilog, which is sweet pork served with garlic rice and a fried egg. The pork was definitely tasty (though some pieces were a little chewy for me) and it was a nice combo with the rice and egg. I'd definitely order from here again, next time I'm going to have to try the kawalisilog (crispy pork) that everyone here is raving about!

High quality Filipino food from a food truck!I had the tocilog, kawali, and lumpiang Shanghai. I've tried a bunch of places around the Bay Area but this place is top notch.Tocilog to me is sweet, thick, Filipino bacon. The tocilog was surprisingly lean. Usually you see huge strips of fat that I have to discard, but they made it easy to eat with smaller pieces and hardly any fat. The marinade was spot-on and consistent throughout. The kawali was also surprisingly lean. Not sure how you accomplish that with pork, but there's minimal fat between the meat, which is awesome for me. Nicely fried giving it that crunch, but still kept the meat soft. The lumpia is restaurant-sized, larger than you usually see from a food truck. Crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside. So much so you don't NEED the sauce, but c'mon, the sauce is necessary anytime you have lumpia. If you're craving Filipino food, or just hungry, go check 'em out. The portions are generous, the quality is great, you have the option for traditional-on-the-plate or easier on-the-go-wraps, and the service was spectacular. Can't wait to go back.

Check this out I'm talking to my co-worker Hugo and he says this truck looks good.So I place an order for the tagsilog, marinated beef and it's so dry and chewy that he laughs because the portions are so small but I'm so hungry I have to finish it.Was tempted to buy the lumpia but not for $6, such a rip off for small pieces from what I saw. Can't give this truck 3 stars because the beef is dry and way too much rice for the $9 price tag.

3.5 STARS On several occasions le boss has spoken to me in tagalog. Me: *BLANK STARE*Le Boss: "Oh c'mon, what's with that Kanye RBF?", he asks. Me: "I have no idea what you're saying...".Le Boss: "Geesus Christ woman, you need to get in touch with your Filipina side". Most people wouldn't think much of this as the older Asian generation always nag the younger generation to "embrace their culture"...but le boss is a white, cowboy boots wearing, blue ribbon beer drinking dude from Arkansas! I'm fortunate enough to have a really cool boss though.I was at OTG - Serramonte yesterday when I came across the Jeepsilog food truck. What better way to get in touch with my Filipina side then to stuff my face with artery clogging, Filipino grub! All the customers were Filipino and some were even ordering in tagalog so I knew this truck would be legit. And, it was. On the menu are Silog plates ($9) with your choice of longanisa (sweet garlic sausage), tapa (beef marinated in soy & lemon), tocino (sweet pork), lechon kawali (fried pork belly), and bangus (milkfish). They also offer Burritos ($9) with your choice of meat (beef, pork adobo, chicken inasal), Lumpia ($6), and Bibingka: rice flour cake w/ cheese ($2.75). CC's accepted with $10 minimum.Since most Filipino eateries use msg, I usually stay away from anything marinated or saucy so I ordered the Kawalisilog Plate ($9): Fried pork belly w/ garlic rice, over easy egg, atchara, and mang tomas sauce: http://bit.ly/21vhDoi. I was sharing with a friend so we added double meat for an extra $4.The lechon kawali was good but not great. A solid lechon should have an uber crunchy, crackly skin with moist meat. Jeepsilog's lechon was overfried; the meat was on the harder side and the skin wasn't as crunchy as I would have liked it. The garlic rice was delicious and garlicky, and the egg oozed yolk when punctured. The atchara (pickled papaya) nicely cut through the richness. The accompanying mang tomas sauce is a sweet and tangy sauce made of liver that perfectly complements fatty meats with a crunchy skin like lechon. The food was authentic and satisfying (for a food truck) so I would return to this truck but they need improve on their organization and efficiency. FEEDBACK TO THE OWNER(S):(1) I saw three different menus all with different content:**A large whiteboard with the menu items in English with no descriptions and no prices.**A 8x11 laminated menu with Filipino names, English descriptions, and prices.**A 8x11 laminated menu with Filipino names and English descriptions. This caused confusion with passers-by who may not be familiar with Filipino food. Either all menus should mirror each other entirely in content OR have one large menu on the whiteboard with Filipino names, English descriptions, AND prices. The latter is better. (2) Cashier lacks efficiency and has no sense of urgency. There were three people in front of me and it took over 12 minutes to place an order because he was dibble dabbling away. (3) When you run out of something please mark it off your menu. It's frustrating for customers who stand in your slow moving line only to find out when it's their turn to order that you're out of what they wanted to order.
