Surrounded by haram is this wonderful oasis of halal pizza. Nothing fancy here but they're open really late, they're halal and they sell by the slice. 5 stars for location, business hours and quick service. You are doing a service to this area.Parking is tough unless you're visiting here very late.

Open late night, and was empty when we got here around 8pm on a Monday. They were cranking Drake on the house sound with the music video to match playing on the TV screens. Simple setup, inside, no frills about it. Though I would recommend sitting closer into the kitchen area for one of two reasons. When sitting closer to the front door, you'll be subject to the chilly, SF night air, as their front door is wide open. And two, will have some of the urine smells from the outside sidewalk wafting in. Nevertheless, we were already there, so we continued to the counter to order shawarma fries and a San Francisco special pizza. The fries felt as if they were sitting out for awhile as the fries itself were room temp when we got them. But they were still crispy despite the lack of heat. The toppings were nice though. That pickle on top gives it a real good bite with the garlic paste evening it out. If the fries were hot, this would've be a 5-star! The pizza was also good, with many toppings, though I personally would've wanted a thicker crust/pie, as it felt that the moment I picked up the pizza, it started drooping and all the toppings were falling off. Overall, not bad, though I would want to come back and try other items to see how they pan out.

I live in the neighborhood, so I decided to stop by Jamra Pizza to check it out. I ordered a slice of pepperoni pizza--it was $7 for a medium slice. Greasy, cheesy, and delicious, yes, but for that price, it needs to do more than just hit the spot. I get it--this is San Francisco, where pricing can get creative, but come on, fair trade should apply to pizza too.The chocolate cake, however, was the real disappointment. $6 for a slice that tasted old, hard, and frankly store-bought. If you're going to charge premium prices, at least make sure the quality matches. That said, the customer service was solid. The gentleman working there was friendly and welcoming, which is always a plus.Overall, Jamra has potential, but they need to step up their game. I'm not complaining about the cost because I can't afford it--I'm all for paying for quality. But at these prices, the food should impress across the board, not just on one slice.

I recently visited and hung out in Chinatown with my daughter. We were craving pizza and wanted something close because I really wasn't in the mood to pay for more parking somewhere else. We took a short walk from our parking garage to get here right on the corner. There were an array of specialty pizzas here, but we kept it simple and went for the classic pepperoni. Being on the intersection of Columbus and Broadway, across the street from a line of strip clubs, there were quite a few police sirens going off all over lol. But hey, the louder the sirens, the better the pizzas right?? I find that the worse areas always have the best food. They didn't disappoint. The pizza was delicious. The pepperoni was delightfully greasy. The slices were a little on the floppier side, but that's because it had a good amount of sauce on it, which I like. Without a doubt, I'd like to come back and try some of the other toppings.

We were looking for a dine in restaurant that is open late at night on Saturday over the weekend. I found out that place is open until 3AM that day, which was perfect for me! There was a short wait in line when we went around 10:40pm on Saturday, but it was still quick. We got the 14" Jamra Special Pizza since we just wanted something simple, but not too simple. This pizza has the common toppings like pepperoni, sausage, onion, bell pepper, mushroom, and salami. It was basically like a normal supreme pizza that you can get. Anyways, the pizza was VERY hot and each bite I took had a nice cheese pull to it!I'd recommend this place! This restaurant is well-lit inside with a good amount of tables for large and small groups. They sell items like pizza, burgers, sandwiches, and appetizers too which is perfect for those late-night munchies and the food was good too!

Pizza was delicious. New York style, with chewy crust. Pepperoni was beef and no sausage on the menu, I'm assuming because it's halal, but the beef pepperoni was great. Also ordered garlic bread, which I wouldn't recommend as it's just half a toasted sub bun with garlic and cheese, and the Nutella pizza, which was delicious but did not have the strawberries that we ordered (it comes with either banana or strawberries- we chose strawberries but ours came with no fruit). Finally, we ordered late, after a 49ers game so got delivery; would be nice if they offered their own delivery service as the grub hub fees add up. All in all I would definitely get the pizza again, especially if I were nearby.

Pretty good pizza spot for late night eats. Love the fact everything is Halal. Chicken sausage with beef pepperoni was fire. Finishing up dinner with a Nutella pizza, they were out of strawberries but it was 1am so what do you expect. Shop was nice, clean and well lit! I'll be back for sure!

I had Jamra bookmarked due to the high ratings, but unfortunately, it fell short in my book. You go up to the cashier and order your food. Then they bring it to you when it's ready. It's not a fancy or a hipster spot, but a more kid-friendly type of establishment.I ordered a pesto special pizza (pesto sauce, chicken, spinach & feta cheese), and my bf ordered a kufta kebab sandwich (1 skewer of kufta kebab, onion, tomato and garlic sauce). Sadly, both were kind of disappointing. Their pizza was not old school pizza, trendy pizza, or a crunchy type of pizza, but it tasted more bready/doughy. I've had some pizzas that were chewy as well, but this didn't have that texture either. Maybe if it had more sauce and was baked longer, it would have been better. The sandwich didn't come with lettuce or pickles and tasted plain even with their garlic sauce. And their bread wasn't toasted enough to give it that crunch. I think simply toasting bread or the roll makes a huge difference in taste and texture and would make it so much better.Pesto Pizza 3/5Kufta Kebab Sandwich 2/5I wish I could have given a better rating since it seemed like others enjoyed their pizza. Maybe we came at an off night.

- Food - chicken shawarma with large friesChicken shawarma - was a bit over cooked. Got some burnt pieces. Other flavors were great.. I'm thinking cook was the issue.Fried, - cooked pretty good. I like the hint of cracked black pepper. - Service - I called the order in, and it was a b it frustrating. But it wasn't anyone's fault. I was using the menu on yelp that was outdated. Likely I will be back. Hopefully the chicken doesn't get over cooked. Ambiance It was empty. Although the inside and good amount of seating and it looked pretty clean.
