This bar feels like an awesome little hidden gem. Our bartender Pasha (idk if I'm spelling that right) was the best. Drinks were super tasty, and he whipped up the most delicious whiskey shots I've ever had. It's a cozy, vibey place with good lighting and the perfect mix of music playing. Highly recommend to go grab a drink here.

Came here a few times after other events in SF (eg. Dubs game, dinner, etc) and we weren't disappointed! I like that it's a hidden gem and not super obvious or in your face, and both times I went it wasn't too crowded (late night weeknights). Haven't been here on a weekend so I can't speak to that.Pros:- very unique cocktails! I got the English breakfast both times I went, and the first time it was served a fun teacup and comes with a Biscoff cookie. We also tried the About Thyme and city bird. If cocktails aren't your thing, I think they also serve beer and has a full bar.- Overall pretty clean, small bar space downstairs and a more private area upstairs- Bar tender was nice, no significant issues. Clientele was chill and mostly small parties of 2-4 young professionals.Cons:- Weirdly it was really stuffy and hot inside - Even with just my t-shirt it was super warm and made me feel even thirstier. almost too cozy.- No bag hooks on the tables in the downstairs area - I think this suggestion would elevate the experience LOL.Overall, unique cocktails, most of the prices are $15 or so each (which can feel pricy), but I think it's a fun place to try something you wouldn't normally drink and be pleasantly surprised. The service was a little slow but it seemed to be because there was only 1 bartender running the whole place. The only reason it wasn't a 5 star for me is because it was so hot both times I was there. But I definitely would come back! Would recommend eating before you come here, I don't think they serve food

Bar area downstairs, plus more private tables upstairs. Mostly empty on a late Tuesday afternoon.I got The Fitzgerald ($14) and it was excellent, 4.5 stars. Light, refreshing, & citrusy, just the way I like it.

If I had never been to a bar on Maiden Lane, I think I would have expected to find a touch of elitism in the cocktails and likely the bar staff. However, since my first visit last year, Iron Horse has never struck me that way. The reality is that it does attract a more corporate clientele, meaning on any given weeknight, you'll find small herds of after-work suits clumped together like lemmings on a cliff. I prefer it when the suits were gone not because I'm antisocial but...Well, actually I am antisocial, especially if I slowly sip the very smooth $14 Esptesso Martini. They add salted caramel, a nice touch in an already fabulous cocktail (photo). Don't bother me, will ya? That's because I'm usually chatting with the friendly bartender here. They're cordial to the suits who wallow in their shallowness. I appreciate the pub-like touches in the decor, and the upstairs mezzanine is ideal for private tête-à-têtes but I was short a tête.COCKTAILS - 4 stars...that's one smooth martini and a nice sizeAMBIANCE - 4 stars...a vintage tavern of rich woods and bricksSERVICE - 4 stars...friendlyTOTAL - 4 stars...the civilized barRELATED - Exploring the FiDi? We were in the area for dinner earlier and wanted an espresso martini to end our night. This was nearby which was perfect, it's such a cute hidden gem; it had a lovely old school vibe and was playing all the smooth r&b jams. The bartender was very nice and these martinis were so good! Beautiful flavor of coffee and a touch of salted caramel. The inside was really cute and then upstairs was a very cozy intimate seating area which we took upon ourselves to enjoy :) the prices were also not bad at all! Def come by here!

Great little spot hidden on maiden lane away from the hustle and bustle of union square. Good vibes and mix of tourists and locals. Perfectly crafted cocktails with cozy atmosphere. Always a good spot for a few drinks before dinner in the area

Pros: bathroom was cleanCons: drinks meh, location is sketch at nite. Note this is a "cocktail bar" so don't go or expect wine. The drink menu was not updated, bartender had attitude (borderline rude), had a happy hour sign outside the door--on Saturday, that was only M-F.

We had the City Bird and the Fitzgerald. Both were very delicious, even though I'm definitely not a floral drink type of person. Both drinks were very easy going down, and as a person who enjoys alcoholic drinks without being able to taste the alcohol, they were right up my alley. Even though I couldn't taste the alcohol, it for sure kicked in while walking back to the hotel (hehe). We were partial to the City Bird because of the very citrusy and fruity flavors, but I'm sure their other drinks are just as good. Ambience was really chill, perfect for a late night when you just want to relax and chat with friends.

Wonderful cocktail experience. I highly recommend making this part of your cocktail experience in SF. This place was incredible, throws down with all the best mixology bars in San Francisco. Trick Dog, True Laurel, Pacific Cocktail Haven... It was just as good if not more unique than anything in SF. Nice ambiance with nice seating. Definitely one of the best!
