Kitfo wrap. It's an appetizer but functions equally well as a normal entree.

House of Tadu is one of my favorite restaurants to visit in SF! Not only is the food absolutely delicious but the staff is very kind and friendly and the atmosphere feels homey. My go to order is the Telba which is a ground flax seed and honey beverage served chilled that is creamy with nutty notes, as well as the meat combo platter which comes with three flavor packed meat sides, a salad and injira bread that's perfectly spongy and tangy! I highly recommend House of Tadu if you're in the mission bay neighborhood and especially if you love Ethiopian food!

Full disclosure: I only discovered Tadu since I was enlisted to help out the talented artist, Nathaniel Bice, on a beautiful new parklet outside of Tadu Ethiopian Kitchen...which you should check out for completely unselfish and unbiased reasons by the way...BUT anyway! The food at Tadu is actually really good! I'm a huge fan of Ethiopian and was thrilled to find this place exists in SF. Apparently they also have a location in the TL, but this little area by Chase and the new park in Mission Rock seems like it's more and more hopping every time I visit. I've gotten their Lamb Tibs twice and you can pick a side (I got chickpeas and cabbage which are both delish) to go along with a hefty helping of injera bread and a side salad. The owners are ultra friendly to boot. I'll be back to paint and hopefully will get to sit in the newly completed, freshly painted parklet soon!

My 1st time trying Ethiopian and I was pleasantly surprised. House of Tadu is in a nice area in Mission Bay. The inside is simple and clean. The food came quick and we had a pleasant experience. - Sambussa: you can get one with beef filling or lentils. We got the lentils and i had a nice crunch and flavor to it. Comes with a tasty tangy and slightly spicy dipping sauce to it.- Chicken Tibs: Cubed chicken with a bunch of onions and peppers mixed together with a bunch of spices. Super flavorful and delicious. Side salad was a nice way to add some veggies and balance out the spice of the dish. Came with Collared Greens which was delicious.- Veggie Combo: Nice balance of different veggies such as beets. Just as flavorful as the meat dish. Would recommend this place especially if it is your first time trying Ethiopian food. They have a glossary on their menus too, describing common phrases or words used in Ethiopian cuisine. Super helpful and welcoming. Much appreciated!

Delicious entrees and friendly service. The injera wasn't as flavorful/sour as I'd like but some might prefer it that way. Interior is clean, has that sterile ambiance of a lunch place.

I got the beef and mushroom tibs with chickpeas (kik alichi wot) as a side. My friend got the key sir. Overall, this was my first time trying Ethiopian food, and I enjoyed the flavor a lot! I would definitely come back as I really enjoyed the chickpeas and the mushroom! My friend did think her dish was a bit on the spicier side though. The service is also very good, and they were very accommodating as they took the jalopenos out of my dish.Food Summary:Beef and mushroom tibs 7/10Key sir 7/10

Picked up takeout for dinner around 5pm on a Wednesday. Service was really quick which was great. Got the chicken tibs plate which came with the chicken, salad, and my choice of gomen. Asked for it spicy and it turned out pretty spicy but not unbearable which was good. The food was really good! The injera was delicious and there was plenty given to me with the plate to be able to eat all of the chicken and most of the gomen with. Definitely would return to try other foods here as well!

Just a fried dough with meat.Meat combo - 3/5 - A good way to get a mixture of greens along with some beef and lamb. You also get the side of bread to wrap the meat in. Pretty standard fare compared to what I've had at other places.Service: 3/5 - Standard service. Ambiance: 4/5 - A nice spacious space.
