As loyal patrons of Hinodeya Ramen Bar, my husband and I appreciate their commitment to offering high-quality vegan and gluten-free options. While they have various locations in San Francisco, this was our first visit to this particular one.We ordered the Creamy Vegan Ramen, which was beautifully presented, as seen in the photo. The vegetables were exceptionally fresh, the broth had a perfectly balanced consistency, and the crispy kale added a delightful textural contrast. The portion was also quite generous, we were full.Service was great--Bun and the rest of the team were attentive, well mannered and accommodating. The restaurant itself is clean and well-maintained, with the added bonus of outdoor seating for those who prefer dining al fresco. With such consistently excellent food and service, Hinodeya Ramen Bar remains a favorite, and we will definitely return.

High quality ramen, delicious flavors with a variety of options. Interior decor is clean and many seating options available. This is a touch less expensive. Order and pay with the app and QR code.

The ramen is absolutely delicious! The broth in the scallop right was rich and light without losing any umami. It was sooo good I was able to finish it in one sitting. I'm happy we came across this ramen restaurant and hope to come back when I'm in the area. Service was quick and easy. You order and pay on your phone with a QR code on your table.Ambiance was quiet and nice. We came during happy hour on a Saturday on one of SF's rainy days. Overall, the experience here was great and I will be back

We came here on a whim and were not disappointed!First of all this restaurant is located right on Clay St and is easy to find. Inside it has high ceilings, a beautiful brick wall, and bar seating as well as a couple large tables for bigger groups. The ramen my husband and I had was delicious. I had the vegan creamy ramen and he had the miso chicken ramen. You can also adjust the spice level to whatever number you want and I chose two which was perfect for me. Mine had some (I think) spinach, butternut squash, mushrooms, and tofu. So good. We also each had drinks, I had a Moscow mule and he had a Sapporo. The service was quick and nice, they were pretty busy when we left but all our needs were met.

Quaint little spot for flavorful ramen! I have been to this spot a few times and I keep coming back when I'm in the area. Food Recommendations:The Spicy Miso Ramen is my favorite. It's flavorful and feels creamy, but it's not too heavy. I like to order at Medium spice. I also really like the Hinodeya/House Ramen when I'm feeling a more dashi forward broth. Service: at this location, you order and check out via a QR code on your table. The wait staff will come by to bring waters and ensure you have ordered. Once ordered, food comes out relatively quickly. Ambiance: Warmly lit location with natural lighting from the windows during the day. Although it's on the smaller side, they make use of the space really well so it doesn't feel crowded when busy.

Hinodeya is my go-to spot whenever I am craving ramen and it never disappoints. I have been to several of their locations across the city and the quality of the food and service is always consistent. My go-to order is the creamy vegan ramen. The delicious creamy broth and flavorful veggies (particularly the crispy fried kale) won't make you miss meat. The seasonal yuzu vegan ramen is offered at the Japantown location and is an elevated version of their traditional bowl. I did not know until recently that each location has their own unique seasonal menu item.I particularly like the Clay St location as it's more spacious, less of a crowd with little to no wait, and a great location.

Came by for late night ramen after a show and the ramen was great! Rich soup, chewy noodles and classic toppings. There are so many ramens to try in the city and this one is definitely worth a try!

This place was very packed when I went but we were able to get a seat at the weird bar table facing the wall. Got the matcha beer which I thought would be gimmicky but it actually tasted interestingly good besides for the amount of foam pouring the matcha in created in the beer. The ramen was flavorful and had lots of toppings. We got some sides as well. Not the best ramen in the city but I feel like the Hinodeya chains are always reliably good and don't have as long of a wait as some of the other ramen places in town.

I recently visited Hinodeya Ramen in San Francisco and left thoroughly impressed, even as someone who doesn't usually gravitate toward ramen. I ordered the classic ramen, and it was amazing. The broth had a depth of flavor that was both rich and comforting, and the fresh vegetables added a nice balance. I made the choice to swap the pork for chicken, but in hindsight, I wish I hadn't--while the chicken was fine, it didn't pack the same flavor punch that pork likely would have.We also shared some edamame, which was simple but perfectly prepared, a great starter to the meal. The service was another highlight. Our waiter was incredibly friendly and attentive, making the experience feel warm and welcoming. The atmosphere of the restaurant is worth mentioning as well. The interior, with its exposed brick walls, high ceilings, and ample space, felt both casual and intimate--a perfect spot for a relaxed dinner. Whether you're a ramen enthusiast or, like me, still warming up to it, Hinodeya is worth a visit. I'll definitely be back to try it with the pork next time!
