Hi Tea

Easy ordering process with the tablet, lots of good options for bubble tea, milk tea, or refreshing juices as well, and a quaint inside for hanging out to work or wait a couple minutes for your order to be ready. The two girls behind the counter were kind when we came in and greeted us prior to us ordering.

We were driving into the city and needed a quick pit stop and caffeine! 3.5/5 I ordered the matcha boba and with 0% sweetness and bubbles, just to see if the drink would align with minimal sweetness and it did deliver :) We also got an egg puff which took a bit of time but it was fresh when we got it & fully cooked! They had a good variety of drinks & food. Only got to try a few items but will be back to try more. Service was prompt, you can order on a tablet if upon entering or with a cashier to the left. The ambiance was a cute small coffee shop feel. There's a clean bathroom & nice seating options.

The milk tea here has got to be one of the worst I've had. I got the oolong milk tea, which is my #1 drink at almost every boba shop I go to but the one I got here tasted like milky water. The tea flavor was barely there and it was not sweet at all. I thought that maybe it was just mine that was flavorless so I tried my boyfriend's uji matcha drink but that was also not tasty. The best way I could describe it is powdery, grassy and milky water. They only had one serving of boba left, which is fine since my party came an hour before closing. However, even after clarifying with my boyfriend and I on what toppings we wanted as substitutes for the boba, the worker messed it up and swapped the toppings in our drinks. Ambiance inside was fine as long as your only goal is takeout. I don't live around here but I wouldn't suggest this boba shop though if there are others in the area.

Their boba drinks and the interior are pretty decent so I give them 2 stars.The reason they lose all the other stars is because their reward point system is messed up. We ordered our drinks through their tablet today since their cashier was busy with another customer, but when we asked them to stamp our cards, they refused. They claimed that it's on a different system. But I obviously have a physical card to collect my stamps. The staff was not flexible and unhelpful to the situation. We left unsatisfied and we won't be back!

Totally LOVED that my boba was Al Dente! There was a biteness to it. I took my chance on having boba with my milk tea & happy with results. However.....my Taro milk tea was bland. Boohoo. The Al Dente Ness compensated that! So there for, I'm happy chewing the goodness.

My first impression of this drink is that the appearance of the cup is so cute and stylish!!!! Now for the taste, it is so creamy yet light and not too sweet at the same time. The additional toppings of puff cream and the matcha crystal balls go very well with the red bean milk tea. Drinking this was very refreshing and it quenched my thirst!!!

Hi Tea is located on a semi-busy street in the Portola area. Parking is street parking and it may be hit or miss - I was lucky and got street parking across the street on my visit. Their hours stated that they are opened until 8:30 PM every day, but when I tried going there on a weeknight, they were closed by 8 PM, so I ended up having to come back a little earlier a couple of nights later. They are hard to miss with their aqua/teal exterior. Their interior is homey with couches and seating for you to enjoy your drinks inside, which is a plus.I tried the Jasmine Milk Tea with boba and Pineapple Slush with boba. The milk tea was not cold or sweet enough - they adjusted it and it was a bit better/decent, but it could had been a bit more creamier though. The pineapple drink was sour, tart, and watery - it was not as sweet as I thought it would be even with 100% sweetness.

I've been to this place multiple times and it has always been hit or miss. The boba can either be really good and chewy or hard not enjoyable. The tea is okay definitely not the best though. Service is regular, just a usual taking your order and giving you your drink nothing else. For the times i've been its a nice and quiet store with an areas to sit.

The worst popcorn chicken I had. It was $9.77 Tasteless, not seasoned well enough. Little bit chicken inside. More like a deep fried bread.

I don't know where to begin, the service was spectacular and the drinks were out of this world! 10/10 I am definitely coming here again because it is very wonderful and such a nice spot to hang out with friends.
