Harvest Hills Market is quite alright. It is a nice little natural foods store adjacent to Precita Park. The store was established in 1918 as Cancilla Market. I'm not sure when it became Harvest Hills Market. The current Harvest Hills Market has a nice selection of organic produce, a whole wide range selections of Amy's Soups, other essentials such as non-dairy yogurt, non-dairy milk, hummus, tofu, & more. The prices overall are a bit costly yet if you live in the neighborhood might be more convenient to pick up some items. Pro tip: keep your eye out for specials. When I was last here they had two containers of organic strawberries for just $3 which is a good deal.I'll be back next time I'm in the area!

Here goes the well-deserved review:We have spent thousands of dollars here over the past two years. The people who work here recognize us. So i guess you can call us regulars:)Recently, we opened what must haven been our 50th overpriced jar of Nutella purchased here. There were something's different about it this time: there were many round little balls- which looked like plastic to us. See attached photo. We brought it back to them. The Asian lady was working as Cashier. She immediately says "you need to contact Nutella Company". Ohhh, at the beginning, she shamelessly claimed: "My English no good..." Really...i read your responses to bad reviews on Yelp... seems fine to me. Did you use a translator for those? Maybe someone helped you translate? Which is it?We explained that we are long time customers who never had to do this, and she acknowledged that she recognized us. Good. I don't even know if the small plastic-looking balls are bad, but all we customers want is a good problem-solving attitude and our $5 back. "But why is it my fault? I don't make the product." Guys, are you going to continue to buy groceries from someone with this mentality? She didn't grow the veggies nor raised the cow, so she is totally in the clear of any product responsibility. What a logic. Lady... at this point, i was speechless at her stupidity. There were a few other useless back and forth afterwards. Her final message was: "I would rather lose two long term customers then giving them $5 back for this defect product that i sold them."I tried to understand her view. Okay my boyfriend did ate 75% of the Nutella out of the jar, without me knowing. I would have taken it back sooner if i'd knew sooner. (Boys...) But she used this against us.I was so shocked at this disgusting customer service and i was in debate mode. She said: "If you talk to me that way, that is not respecting me." Well, at this point, yes, the respect is gone. People will respect you if you act respect-worthy. Well, you did it lady. We will NEVER EVER spend another dollar at your business. I hope you know that the overpricing in this competitive market + your zero sense of doing business = perfect recipe for your store to go bye-bye one day. Natural selection Guys, DON'T SHOP HERE!!! You are wasting your money on potentially bad products and count on them to prefer a dollar bill over a revenue-generating customer!

This place is a community treasure. Gina, Joseph and their staff are working so hard right now to supply the community with what we need to endure our new reality of being sheltered in place. After a couple of truly harrowing visits to supermarkets during the stay-at-home order, we feel much more comfortable shopping here. And it's not like we have to do without -- I would honestly put Harvest Hills' mostly-organic produce against any other market's. And they have a surprisingly good selection of beer, wine, and (very important these days) hootch.

Well it looks like everyone and their mother has started coming here for their weekly shop, but I'm not salty about it. I'm glad to see this place get so much business just, don't come here in the hours just before dinner. It's small and gets crowded easily

Such a cute neighborhood market! It may not be large, but it always seems to have what I'm looking for. Great selection of fresh produce. I prefer shopping here to the nearby Safeway.

Wow! A lot into a tiny store!! Great selection of organic & non organic fruit & veggies. Overall a bit pricy but a little better than what you would expect for most convenient stores. They also have some occasional deals. Selection:-They almost always have a few fresh herbs & bread.-They have a very decent selection of many basics & more ( including bags of ice) . They carry a large selection of beer, wine, & spirits for such a small store. -They have a small selection of meat, cheese, & eggs. They almost always have flowers.-They frequently have "needs to be eaten today or tomorrow" produce for super cheap. They accept debit & credit and also have an ATM. My favorite corner grocery store for sure!!

Good people. Great to have a store like this so close by. It's not perfect but they try really hard. It and the Potrero Hill Good Life are my favorite small stores on this side of the city.
