I'd heard of this biz several years ago and only learned where it is when stopping at the bar next door to pick up food from a pop-up.It's pretty close to Chase Center and the Southern food neighborhood staple in the Dogpatch part of town. It caught my eye as I drove to get my family's dinner on a Saturday mid-afternoon. After doing that, I backtracked and was surprised that parking was not readily available. I pulled into a corner red zone and studied the window menu before walking to the cashier counter. I needed to wait a few moments and she was prepping some foods in back. There were only two people working so do be patient. After placing my order, I waited just outside so I could prevent getting a parking ticket from a roving DPT cushman. About seven minutes later, another lady told me my order was ready. I quickly went back to my car and started with my drink, a large passion fruit green tea (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=8d-5rJ5hHRnsQPVe8V5tGg), 25% sweetness with regular ice; I was happily surprised that it was an honest 25% sweetness as the tea flavor stood out without being overly sweet. When I saw an item on the menu, I had to try the loco moco (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=95N5A7G417vvjRBHJDEP9Q), eggs sunnyside; the cashier lady did warn me the meat was spam instead of a hamburger patty. I was game but a little skittish on whether this would work. Guess what. I enjoyed this even though the spam protein change was a curveball. With the sauce poured over (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=Ycke16SV22q8swdWE4uaQA) made this addictively good. It is a teriyaki like sauce with a slight tang and bits of garlic. There were a few people enjoying their drinks on the counter as customers sporadically flowing in and out at around 3 pm. I didn't see the musubi on the menu so that'll be one of the things I try next time along with one of their Jian Beng crepes or eggettes. Support local small businesses.

I can't vouch for the happiness of the cows of Happy Cow Creamery & Tea. Neither can I vouch for the fact that Happy Cow Creamery & Tea owns its own creamery. I would guess that it does not, as vertical integration is almost un"herd" of in the bubble-tea industry. And how is it both a creamery and tea? As in simultaneously it's a place that produces and/or sells dairy products and a totally separate beverage itself--not the place that sells said beverage (a teaery?)--but the beverage itself. And yes, I know that places are often named after the things they sell, but if that's the case, the name should be Happy Cow Cream & Tea. Oh well. Time to "moo"ve on in this review. It's a bubble-tea place that has other things. I hate bubble tea--the mouthfeel of tapioca balls makes me want to vomit--but I generally prefer a random overrated bubble-tea shop to a random overrated coffeehouse. There are desserty pleasures of which to partake, and believe me, I partook. Whatever drink I got was fine. It was better than I expected, although not as sweet as I would have liked it. It had that flush lid that you punch the straw through, Capri-Sun style. Because of the diameter of the straw (large enough for boba to fit through), I was concerned that I would inadvertently swallow whatever large chad was created by the sharp straw, but said chad remained affixed to the top. As I sat enjoying every last sip of my drink, I also pondered the flush lid's environmental footprint and whether it was larger than that of the typical removable lid, which may or may not be recyclable. I had no idea what material the flush lid was made of, so I stopped thinking about it.I came at a strange time. No one else was in the store, but it looked as if a lot of people had recently stampeded through. The single employee I saw was friendly and helpful with suggestions. She didn't understand why I didn't want to do their loyalty program or whatever.Happy Cow has survived a relatively long time in Dogpatch. Good for it! I'm glad it hasn't been "put out to pasture."

My family and I were looking for a quick dessert and just so happened to find this lovely creamery. The service was very nice, I had never eaten rolled up ice cream but goodness was it good! A perfect 5 stars and an instant favorite on our visit here in Cali.

So yum! I'm a fan of stopping by this place for a delicious sugary treat and taking it to Crane Cove Park to sit in the warm Mission Bay / Dogpatch sun. Highly recommend!

I came here for a drink and noticed the inside only had a few seats, and it felt pretty warm, like it wasn't ventilated well. I ordered the Summer Dream, which included dragon fruit, milk, lychee jelly, and whipped cream on top. It was alright--refreshing but not too strongly flavored, which makes me think it was real dragon fruit juice. Overall, it was okay but didn't leave much of an impression. I wouldn't get this drink again, but I might come back to try the rolled ice cream next time.

Friend took me here. Apparently its popular. When the place is jam packed with asians i already know the drinks here is good and that was indeed yes! The teas were flavorful i got the basic milk tea i got extra tapioca as i love the chew in that and that delivered too. I had to buy 3 as i finished one drink in 5 minutes. Their was a major line here but it moved fast. They had a call your number system going on which was nice. Would come back here again. Prolly would not stay as it was jammed packed the noise level is very high,. Yummy drinks and tapioca is chewy my thing for BoBas!

This was my first experience trying rolled ice cream and I couldn't have been more pleased with it! The freshness and high quality of the ingredients was very noticeable. Dairy, especially ice cream, tends to leave me with an uncomfortable, full feeling, but to my pleasant surprise, that was not the case at all here- likely due to there being no unnecessary ingredients added! The owners were incredibly friendly, kind, welcoming, and willing to answer any questions you may have. The shop is small, but still a very pleasant environment if you'd like to eat inside. It's located in a quiet part of the city, but absolutely worth going out of your way if you're craving ice cream or milk tea!

I decided to stop by while I was in the Dogpatch neighborhood. True to the name, they have several cow-themed decorations and signs, including cow print pattern on the walls.I decided to get the white rabbit candy ice cream, which is one of their special roll ice creams. It's $7.50 before tip. They have a decently sized menu and you can also customize your order if desired. They have a few handwritten signs at the counter and it appears they may take Venmo as a payment option since I saw someone's Venmo info on one of the signs. I saw a stack of loyalty cards at the front, but was not offered one when I ordered. It tastes mostly like vanilla and marshmallows to me and not as strongly distinctly of white rabbit candy. The firmer texture of the rolls is fun, though. They sell drinks and also jianbing, the boba and food prices overall looked a bit on the high side - some drinks were $6 and above. Overall, I thought the ice cream was fine, just a little pricier than I'd want to pay for that quantity.

Judy has been very kind and thoughtful as always. She always asked if I needed a lid for my ice cream. This time I decided to get a custom selection for my ice cream and went with matcha, Oreos, and sprinkles. The matcha ice cream was delicious. You can really taste the matcha. The flavour is fantastic and you can bring your friends here to try milk tea too if they like a drink. The shop is small so it can be pretty busy during the afternoon when people want something sweet to eat. There are a few seats where you ca sit and enjoy watching people go by.
