My friends and I came here on an off-lunch hour and were seated immediately, with the restaurant being about half full. For a group of four, the tables that we received were spacious. In general, I admired small details on the menu design and receipt holder. We ordered the Yuk Gae Jang and Gal Bi Jjim with mozzarella cheese. While waiting, we were given both options of tea and water. The Yuk Gae Jang was flavorful and had a good proportion of noodles and other items compared to their broth. The Gal Bi Jjim came out hot, and I found a good amount of meat (not too many bones) and noodles. I wish there were a bit more rice cakes, however! Both dishes were delicious, and I'd love to come back to try their other dish specialties!

My favorite Korean place around the bay! My favorite dish is their spicy beef brisket noodle soup (Yuk Kal). It's just a little spicy and you can definitely add spice. The broth is rich in beef flavor but still light. It's amazing! I've also had their bibimbap and galbijim. I also highly recommend the galbijim. The bibimbap wasn't crazy special but still met my expectations. As for ambiance and service, the restaurant is very open and clean. Their menus are beautiful. They are a little slow because it seems like only 2 people are managing the restaurant but given it's only 2 people I would say service is pretty fast.

I came to Han Sang in Millbrae for a work lunch with my team. We didn't have reservations, but we were seated quickly, and the service overall was efficient. The ambiance was clean, modern, and not too loud -- great for both casual gatherings and work lunches, especially for larger groups.I ordered the galbi tang with purple rice ($25, no extra charge -- you can choose between white or purple rice). The soup was rich and comforting, packed with plenty of tender short ribs and well-seasoned broth. The wait for the food was a bit longer than expected, but I didn't mind since it seemed freshly prepared rather than pre-made.It's definitely on the pricier side ($20-30 per dish), but they also offer family-style options for group dining. One small downside was that the waitress didn't come by to refill the banchan, which would've been nice.

I think it's a 3.6 ish. Its okay. It's in Millbrae where all the restaurants are. We went during lunar new year. We walked in and there was no one. I guess we got lucky. Service was quick. She asked us how many. We got four dishes. Nothing was salty. But it's a bit pricey for the amount of food. The GalbiJjim was pretty small.. At least the flavor was yummy. The Bibimbap was at least filling. Leek pancake was very thin.. And the Sullongtang soup was good but barely had anything in it.Banchan was ok at best. However the place was clean! Probably wont be back unless we're in the area. Street parking in front

So I truly feel that the service is great, it's the food that I think is a little lack luster. The broth literally had no flavor. I get it, you have to add salt, but even good broth can have flavor right? The side dishes which are free are a big dissapointment. They were bitter and too sour, especially the daikon radish one Even their kimchi was like meh.The highlight was the pancake. That was 5 stars. Crispy, crunchy, and really good seafood inside. The meat soup with added noodles was barely 3 stars. The bibimpap was just 3 stars too. Very plain. I was actually really looking forward to this place and to have it be just average was a huge dissapointment for us.

Ideally, I'd give it a 3.5/5. Han Song in downtown Millbrae offers a decent Korean dining experience, but be prepared for some potential drawbacks. Parking in the area can be a real challenge, especially on weekends, so arriving early is highly recommended, even if you have a reservation. And reservations are definitely a must, as this place gets packed, particularly on weekend nights. We had a reservation and were seated promptly, which was a good start. We sampled a variety of dishes, and they all tended to be on the bland side and a bit overpriced for what you get. The Bulgogi Bibimbap was okay, but it could have used more meat and more robust flavor. The Jjin Mandu (dumplings) were a highlight - quite tasty. The Cold Noodles were decent, with a nice texture, but again lacked depth of flavor. Thankfully, they provide mustard and vinegar, which definitely helped to liven things up. The Bo Ssam was a generous portion and the pork was cooked well. The Han Sang Guk Bap was also decent. On the plus side, the service was impressively fast and the staff was friendly and attentive. This helped to offset some of the food's shortcomings.Overall, Han Song is a reasonable option for Korean food in Millbrae. The fast and friendly service is a definite plus. A word of warning: they may charge you for to-go boxes even if you don't take any, so double-check your bill. Worth a try, but manage your expectations.

There's nothing quite like the comforting embrace of Korean food on a rainy evening, and Han Sang perfectly delivered on that promise. Tucked away on a quiet street with ample street parking, this gem quickly became our go-to for a family dinner.FOOD:We indulged in a trio of delights: the Bo Ssam, Gal Bi Jim, and a refreshing cold noodle dish. While each dish was exceptional, the Bo Ssam was the most memorable. The braised pork belly was melt-in-your-mouth tender, pairing well with the crisp, refreshing radish kimchi and lettuce wraps. This was, without a doubt, one of the best Bo Ssam experiences we've had.The Gal Bi Jim was a towering mountain of tender short ribs, braised to perfection. The portion was truly immense, easily satisfying our table of five with generous leftovers. While many compare it to Daeho, we found Han Sang's version to be even more satisfyingSERVICE:The service was impeccable throughout our meal. The staff were attentive, friendly, and our orders arrived promptly! Overall, our dinner at Han Sang was a resounding success and I eagerly anticipate our return to indulge in the Bo Ssam and Gal Bi Jim again.

Came here on a rainy day and was craving for soup. I ordered the mandu guk with rice cakes and purple rice and my brother ordered the gal bi tang with purple rice. Both dishes were warm and hearty, just perfect for the weather! The broth for the mandu guk was on the blander side but there was salt and pepper on the table for you to season to your taste. Service was great and portions were generous. Overall, would recommend.

I've seen this place around Milbrae but I've never been...until now! I was craving Korean food around the area so I decided to finally try Han Sang, It was not super busy at 1:00 PM on a Saturday so we were seated immediately. I loved how every table had tea since I prefer hot tea with my food. The menu was also very pretty as the front of the menu resembled a Korean castle gate.I ordered the Chadol Sul Long Tang and it was so hearty and warm and all the good things. It's purposely unseasoned so you can season to your heart's desire with the salt and pepper provided on the table. I also like how each dish comes with its own tray with your own personal banchan; the banchan consists of kimchi, fish cake, and radish. There was plenty of thinly sliced beef in the soup as well.I would definitely come back to try the other soups and dishes Han Sang has!
