HMart in San Francisco is a great spot for Korean and Asian groceries, offering a well-organized shopping experience with a wide variety of products. They have a decent-sized parking lot, and while the spaces are a bit tight, I've never had trouble finding a spot outside or in their plaza's parking garage. One of the highlights is their food court, packed with restaurants and a bakery. However, seating is limited, especially during peak hours in the afternoon or on weekends, making it tough to find a spot to sit and eat. Their selection of pantry staples, fresh produce, seafood, and meats is impressive, and they consistently have good deals in their weekly circular. I always find something on sale that's worth trying or stocking up on as a household staple. The staff work hard to keep the store well-stocked, and I've noticed that even during busy hours, the shelves remain full and organized, which helps keep the shopping experience smooth. It's clear they put in the effort to maintain inventory and keep things running efficiently. That said, I do wish their prepared foods section was stronger. Compared to Kukje nearby, HMart's selection of grab-and-go meals and ready-to-eat items feels limited. I'd love to see more variety in their sushi, kimbap, and hot food options. On the plus side, they occasionally offer samples of promotional items, which is always a nice touch.Checkout can get hectic, especially during the evening rush or on weekends when the store gets packed. The aisles can also feel cramped when it's busy, making it a bit of a squeeze to navigate. However, their alcohol section is fantastic, featuring a great selection of soju, makgeolli, and imported beers. Their snack section is equally impressive, with a huge range of Korean and Asian treats to choose from.Overall, HMart SF is a solid grocery store with great product variety and competitive sales, but it could improve in areas like prepared foods and seating.

I have always loved HMART and their prepared foods, but today I bit on a piece of plastic in my kimbap and I can't say that I will ever feel comfortable purchasing prepared foods from them anymore, as I had planned on sharing the kimbap with my toddler who loves them.Updating to say that we found mold on the uni trays we purchased. Both of them, and not clearly obvious until we got to the bottom of the first tray. I was so disgusted I threw away the fully unopened other tray because I could see some fuzz on the edges and did not want to risk it.I have a feeling that the quality at this HMART has gone far downhill and I won't be returning.

IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD!!!!! They're rude and inconsiderate here. Security doesn't know how to secure anything!!! I didn't buy anything but people in my party did so I was leaving to go to a different store. Security checked my bag, fine, but insisted I needed a receipt and tried not to let me leave. It was literally just a salad, my lunch, from home! They don't even sell those and in that container! Then said "Don't come in if you're not buying anything" and when I said my friend's were paying, he said "DONT COME BACK AND DONT COME IF YOURE NOT GOING TO BUY ANYTHING" So I will be avoiding this location when necessary. Disgusting how not only he thinks he can treat people but a lot of others here. They block of aisles. It's already crowded and the parking lot is a mess. I understand the mom and pop shops that are crowded and ran by families but this is a chain and the managers should be more on top of their employees and the logistics/procedures.

Great to drop by to pick up some Asian snacks! Today we bought Irvin's salt egg potato skins and salmon skin. Quite pricey but sooo good! Notice there were roasted sweet potatoes selling right by the cashiers that wasn't there before. Also dropped by the food hall on the way out to pick up some baked goods. Great store for all your food needs.

No lines today at lunchtime. While shopping for items for a grill dinner party tonight, I saw that they have king crab in the frozen section, $22 a pound. They have the usual things found at a Korean supermarket. Marinated meats for BBQ, fresh kimchi and fried chicken. I was disappointed in their selection of frozen beef balls, chips and instant noodles. No wait at the cashiers. I wish they had hand baskets like any regular supermarket. My shopping habits don't allow me to buy that much as I tend to eat out 90% of my meals.

Pros:* H Mart has a large selection of Korean banchan and Asian meat cuts.* Although most products are Korean, there are some Chinese, Japanese, and Thai foods.* There is a food court of various Korean eats.* The store is clean and tidy.Cons:* 1 star off: The prices are higher than other Asian markets.* 1 star off: Ingredients labels are not reliable. For example, I purchased kimbap (Korean sushi), and rice and seaweed were not in the ingredients list...for sushi! This is dangerous for customers with food allergies.

H Mart is an excellent Asian supermarket. It reminds me of a new Ranch 99, which is another awesome Asian supermarket. Unlike most Asian markets, H Mart is clean and organized. The floor is sparkling clean and every product on the shelf or freezer is neatly stacked. The produce department offers the freshest fruits and veggies of any market. The veggies get a constant "rain" mist so they remain fresh. The seafood department also offers various live fish and shellfish. The freezer section offers a huge variety of authentic Asian products. The cooked section also offers a huge selection of local flavors. If you're planning to cook a hot pot at home, look no further. You can buy all the pre-sliced meats, seafood and veggies here. Just boil a pot of water and you're done. The only disappointment was they didn't have a fresh bakery department. They did however offer pre-packaged baked goods. If you like shopping in a clean and organized supermarket that offers a huge variety of Asian products, then this is the place to go to.

This H Mart has the best food court, hands down!My husband and I do grocery shopping here at least once a month. We always come for their frozen sliced meat, instant noodles, fresh veggies, and of course, their massive frozen food selection! We can never leave this place empty handed, that's for sure. We got our usual groceries for this month, with a few fun things to try. A Cantible apple-ade which I plan to pair with an apple konjac jelly I found, plus the cheesy coin pastries we've been seeing go viral on social media! We grabbed the cheese and corn flavor to try, and it was pretty good! Besides the great groceries, we love the variety the food court has to offer. Because we are notorious for not wanting to cook the groceries we just bought, we almost always get something to-go. If we're there in the morning, we will probably pick up both sweet and savory pastries from Paris Baguette, including hash brown bread - which is a favorite in our household - the curry croquette, and the coffee cronut (hubby's fave). Most of the other restaurants open up around 11am, so if we're there in the afternoon or evening, you can bet that we're picking up jjangmyeon and cream shrimp from Paik's, or some wings and fries from Left Wing. And say if all else fails, H Mart's hot food selection is pretty decent too! We don't shy away from grabbing a kimbap and tteokboki combo from there when we can't decide on anything from the food court.H Mart has a great selection of groceries, korean meats and seafood, hot food, frozen food, and more. Most definitely recommend coming here if you haven't already!

H Mart is my go-to for Asian snacks and groceries. The supermarket is clean, organized, well-lit, and importantly, doesn't have strong a raw meat/seafood smell. They're Korean-focused, but also have several Japanese and Chinese items as well. If you're looking for a specific item like Thai basil or winter melon, it's a hit or miss. Sometimes I've seen items when I don't need them but also not available when I want them. I enjoy getting their prepackaged fresh or frozen shabu shabu meats and frozen fish balls for at-home hot pot.I hate the narrow the aisles. Two carts can fit, but if two carts are parked next to each other, you'll have some trouble getting through. I wished they offered baskets or the smaller two tier shopping carts.Check out line is fairly organized and when the store is busy, there's usually an employee who will direct the check out lines traffic flow.

H Mart in San Francisco is a true gem that hits all the right notes. Let me tell you, the food court here isn't just good--it's the BEST in the entire city. Yes, I said it. From Jajangmyeon to crispy, savory hotteok, the variety and quality are unmatched. Whether you're craving spicy kimchi jjigae or a comforting bowl of udon, H Mart's food court delivers flavors that transport you straight to Seoul. Paik's noodle is awesome and if you watched Culinary Class Wars on Netflix - that's the judge home boy (not the 3-Mich star pretty boy lol). The only downside? Parking is, well... San Francisco levels of challenging. If you're driving, plan accordingly, or better yet, rideshare your way here to save the headache. Trust me, it's worth the effort.Pro tip: The line for food can get long, especially during peak hours. I like to hop in line while my wife finishes her rounds through the aisles, stocking up on everything from fresh produce to those glorious Korean snacks you didn't know you needed. By the time she's done, I'm halfway to a bubbling stone pot of bliss. In short, H Mart is a must-visit, whether you're here to fill your pantry or your belly. Just be prepared for a bit of a wait and some creative parking, and you'll be richly rewarded with a uniquely delicious experience. I literally do all my grocery in south city anyways cuz Costco is way better down here than everything else in the city lol.
