I've been shopping at Guzman for the past 24 years, and it has been an absolute gem in our neighborhood. This small, family-owned grocery store is my go-to place for fresh fruits and vegetables. One of my favorite things about Guzman is their dollar bin, where you can find perfectly ripe avocados--ideal for making delicious guacamole at a fraction of the price.Guzman also offers fresh homemade tortillas and queso fresco, a crumbly, flavorful white cheese that reminds me of feta but with its own unique taste. Despite the frequent long lines due to usually having just one cashier, the quality and prices make it all worthwhile.Recently, I've started buying meat from Guzman, and it has been a fantastic experience. Their meat counter, complete with a butcher, offers great deals. For instance, I recently bought a New York steak and half a pound of liver for just $12.99--an absolute bargain. The New York steak was tender and juicy when my husband broiled it for me, offering a rich, savory flavor that melts in your mouth. The liver, which I adore when prepared with onions, was fresh and delicious--a stark contrast to the frozen options available at larger chains like Safeway.Speaking of prices, a New York steak at a restaurant in San Francisco can easily cost around $30 to $50 per serving ($45.95 at Original Joe's Westlake, Daly City), and at stores like Safeway and Lucky's, it's usually priced between $13 to $20 per pound. This makes Guzman's offerings not only tasty but also incredibly economical.Guzman is more than just a grocery store--it's a vital part of our community, providing fresh, high-quality products at unbeatable prices. Whether you're looking for fresh produce, homemade tortillas, Mexican cheeses, or reasonably-priced meat, Guzman is the place to go.

I come here for watermelon every week and they have the best watermelon in town, better than sprouts and other big grocery outlets. The staff are friendly and nice and its located within a nice community. If you are looking for great deals come check this place out. Great place if you want to meet some locals in the area.

Fresh and affordable produce and herbs. I've been a regular customer for more than 5 years and I wouldn't get my produce anywhere else. Butcher in store as well.

Really amazing store with kind-hearted employees running the place and food quality food for decent prices. Sometimes you can find really good deals on in-season produce. They get most of it local and seems to be organic. Would highly recommend coming Here for some basics.

This little place rocks. It has great vegetables, great fruit (sometimes exotic) and great meats. Their prices are incredible and their service is impeccable. I would strongly recommend them for Latin food products as well. We have found stuff there that we couldn't find anywhere else in the Bay Area. This is a must see.

Love this place. Fresh looking produce--check! Taco shells--check. Queso fresco--check. Mexican baked goods--check (small selection though). Hot tamales--check! (Right by check out!) They also have a sale section--Overripe fruit, but still delicious for cheap?! Nom!They carry everything I need for a great easy dinner, or light snacking. They have nice meat selection too. I love the chicken breasts--all in tact, sans bones! (Although, I prefer the bones for making stock.) They look so fresh too! I've got to try their cuts of beef next time!Prices = reasonable. Some things are on the pricier side ($4.99 strawberries v. $2.99, different brands.) Cash and plastic accepted.Service = friendly. I wish I spoke something besides English... you know, like, uhm, Spanish?!! Sigh.... Parking... well, I usually take the bus for this one. But street parking can be found, or if you know exactly what you need, you can turn on the hazards and double park right out front, for 3 minutes before the meter mobile swings on by...... haha

Grocery store packed with products from Mexico akd Latin America. During peak hours (around 6-ish) they have a line but work very efficiently and will open another register. They even have a meat market stocked with meats and poultry! Best part: their merchandise is always fresh and significantly cheaper than Safeway. Only gripe is that it's street parking only. Don't be a jerk and block the driveway, even if you leave your hazard lights on.

Very convenient for me, but watch out for the prices, they put stuff on sale on the shelf but not in the computer, should tell the cashier before start ringing your grocery items.
