Second time coming here. First time we tried,we didn't have reservations. Didn't realize that this place was that popular. If you're planning on coming here, I recommend getting reservations. Most of the people were casually dressed. We started off with the smoked cheddar and chive biscuits and the ginger scones. A nice combination of sweet and savory. The jalapeno butter had just enough of a kick,so as not to be overpowering. Our group tried the mushroom pizza, the potato griddle cakes, the hash, and for dessert the lemon curd french toast. Definitely a step up for a vegan/vegetarian restaurant. Such a wide variety of different options. Looking forward to our next visit

I'm so bummed as Greens was a favorite restaurant for our family but it has gone so far downhill, I can't recommend it anymore.First, we are not vegetarians/vegans but would always bring out of town guests who would be blown away that the food was so good they did not miss the meat. Last night I brought my kids and their friends. They tried the mocktails - none of them tasted great for $17 each. I sipped each and was expecting fruity flavors given their descriptions but they were either bland or bitter. We ordered the hummus for an appetizer - it was the most delicious dish of the night. The hummus was light and airy topped with toasted pine nuts. But you'll need to order extra pita and I wouldn't consider it an entree (as listed on the menu). We also got the 'spicy' roasted pecans - hardly any flavor and they were not crunchy but soft. The olives were also bland as was the 'tartine.' The cornbread used to be a highlight - served warm with honey butter but now it is a dense brick. We shared two salads across 5 people - the kale farroush and warm spinach - they were OK, nothing special.Everything that followed was similarly bland or worse, disastrous. The pasta was topped with broccolini sauted with a little butter. The risotto-stuffed filo rolls were soggy being served over a broth of beans (and a combo that didn't go well together). The mushroom pizza crust was thick and tasted like cardboard though the topping of cheese/ mushroom medley had a rich flavor. The 'dumplings' are served cold and are dry - I had thought they had forgotten to cook them (thankfully, our server offered a substitute when he saw the visceral reaction we had after taking a bite). The creme brûlée is served with poached pears on top defeating the purpose of the burnt sugar on top. The matcha cake is decent but not mind-blowing as their desserts used to be. The food used to showcase seasonal ingredients but none of the dishes seemed especially well thought-out and in fact seemed like they were slap-dashed together. The dining room remains a beautiful space though, as others have said, service is lacking. While our server came frequently in the beginning to get our orders, we had to constantly flag someone down to get water, add to our orders, get the dessert menu, etc. there was no rhythm to our meal as perhaps they are understaffed. As a party of 5, they automatically added 20% to our bill without letting us know to avoid me tipping again.I would probably be OK with a reduced level of service if the food returned to being excellent. I had brought work colleagues here in 2023 and had an amazing meal then so it could happen. (I did have brunch there last year a couple of times and it was good but the execution of eggs, pancakes, and scones is much harder to screw up,)

Fantastic view! Amazing wall of windows! Super interesting wood pieces made into tables and other decorative pieces. Food was somewhat interesting but kinda disappointing. Pumpkin sandwich on brioche was tasty-but seemed like a slab of Jack-o-lantern on the bread. Citrus salad nice but not much flavor. Candy Squash soup very good, slightly sweet. Mushroom pâté very disappointing super bland. Oh and the two teeny pieces of "bread" were like old pizza crust-bland, hard, yucky. For $6, you can get some great rye-sourdough made in-house. Very bland butter, though. Potato griddle cakes were bland but cabbage topping good and crunchy and the salsa was great! The still rosé from Clear Lake was very nice.

We made a reservation here for brunch on our anniversary. The restaurant was very sweet and added an anniversary wish on our menu. And also gave us some complimentary champagne. We tried the following :Hummus : 4/5. This was tasty. Enjoyed the pita that came with it. Pasta : 3/5. This was just okay. There wasn't any kind of sauce. Just some pasta and broccoli sauted in butter. Pumpkin Katsu burger : 2/5. This wasn't any good at all. Pumpkin made it too sweet. Even a side of hot sauce didn't make it any better. We also ordered a glass of Syrah , that was okay. Over all the ambience is nice and intimate. The views are spectacular. The service was great as well. The food just didn't hit the spot. But it's a vegan restaurant with so many options to choose from , will be back to give it another try.

Eating your greens isn't hard if you dine at Greens Restaurant! I met up with my coworker to walk and grab dinner in the Marina, and she suggested we try Greens since it's dog-friendly and a place she recommended. The restaurant is in Fort Mason, a spot I've always been curious about. It's beautiful and extremely spacious. It's very scenic, overlooking the bay with a hint of class. Coming on a weekend night, it was pretty busy and loud inside. We sat outside since I had my pup. The covered outdoor patio was clean and well-lit and had heat lamps. We were one of two parties outside, so it was nice and quiet. Service was efficient by all.I love nourishing my body and will never say no to vegetarian food. Greens prides itself on serving high-quality, farm-to-table, vegetarian and vegan fare. I enjoyed the Mesquite Grilled Tofu Skewers while my coworker had a ravioli dish. The grilled tofu came in two and was well seasoned, nicely grilled, and had the perfect texture. I don't care for tomatoes, but when I did pair the tomato salad with the tofu, it was refreshing. She enjoyed her meal. Portions were filling, but dishes can be a bit pricey (well, more so comparable to SF prices). For those looking for a vegetarian-friendly restaurant in the city, Greens is a great spot! Its location in Fort Mason makes it easily accessible, with parking around the area. The food and service were both good, and they're dog-friendly! I wouldn't be opposed to coming back.

A bit of context for this review. I think the view is 5/5. Worth it ti visit this place for that alone. The service was great. The cocktails were 4.5/5. The food was probably a 3/5 (although I'm not a vegetarian so the restaurant is at a massive handicap in my ratings). I know the menu is seasonal but we ordered the hummus, a potato griddle cakes, risotto stuffed filo rolls, and creme brûlée. Of them I would definitely re-order the hummus and griddle cakes. My wife really liked the filo rolls and creme brûlée so definitely a bit of personal preference.

Our group of 5 stopped by here, with two dogs, on that last Saturday when it was 100 degrees so doing anything outside would have been difficult. Still, the staff did everything they could to make sure we had a great time. The menu is a bit pricy but for the quality of food, you're getting that premium flavor too!We tried a little bit of everything including the biscuits, cornbread, baby lettuces, grilled corn, burrata and melon, spring rolls, summer hash, potato cakes and the mesquite tofu and thought that everything we ate was very very good. With 5 people and 5 different tastes, we were surprised at how collectively good everything was. I think the absolute favorites were the hash, the cornbread and the tofu which was jam packed with flavor. We'll be back!

The food was yummy but not terribly filling given the lack of animal proteins. This is a great spot to take any vegan or veg person in your life, but meat eaters beware you may want to get something heartier. We enjoyed the pita, pasta and salad. All dishes were fresh and seasonal, albeit our server was a bit standoffish. Wear layers if you're planning to eat outside as the bay air and chill aren't always going to be warmed by the gas lamps.

Very fresh menu selections, many more vegan choices than I was expecting, a pleasant surprise! My vegan guest had never been here & it was his birthday!( The menu said Happy Birthday!?)Our server was prompt & knowledgeable, answering our questions & empty plates were quickly cleared! The gorgeous wood sculpture & tables in the entry provided a warm & inviting beginning to our dining experience.. the views of the bay & bridge from the windows was beautiful, especially @ sunset!

Went in for dinner at 5:30 with reservations. The restaurant was modern with large windows with a beautiful view of the bay and the GG bridge. Dinner was fabulous and very filling. Service was good and I definitely will be going back to try other dishes.
