Clean venue, friendly workers, good sound system. Love that they validate parking and their bathrooms are STOCKED with tp, toilet seat covers, and paper towels. I didn't feel anxious at this venue, and I would come again to see an artist I love!

Attended SF Sketchfest's Porchlight Storytelling Series here this past weekend and thought it was an impressive venue. Lovely architecture and design and lighting fixtures throughout (the walls, ceilings and even the balconies), the interior was like a mini cathedral. A nice intimate setting for an array of performances, though it felt a bit small for such a popular event on Saturday, so seats got full really early... luckily we managed to find two seats on the balcony 30 minutes before showtime, but it was tough. They serve both food and drinks here, and there's a bar on each floor. Second level bar had a shorter line than the lines downstairs. Got weak but delicious cocktails, as well as a glass of the Annabella Pinot Noir 2020 Russian River Valley, a smooth taste which I enjoyed. The event was entertaining with an okay view from the balcony, but we could only see two thirds of the stage, and only if standing up over those sitting along the edge of the balcony (front row). So sitting upstairs isn't ideal for viewing, but seating is flexible, so you can move bar height stools (and regular chairs) wherever is fitting for best viewing upstairs; there are several tables up there as well. The temperature was scorching hot on the balcony though, and this is during winter, so it got a bit stuffy with only so many layers that could be removed. Sound on stage was great, nice and clear, ideal volume. Service was efficient, no delays, no problems. Though not perfect, I really liked the venue overall. And street parking seemed to be plentiful just a block away on a Saturday night.

This venue, very fun and intimate! Loved that it was a quick walk inside. Fun to explore both the floor and upstairs. Lots of seating upstairs to get a nice view. Main floor had a good bar, decently priced drinks, friendly staff and a good amount of open space. Getting there is a little sketchy, defs recommend an Uber since it's in the tenderloin but the venue itself was entertaining to be at!

Didn't expect much but was very satisfied for the venue.I did spot hero parking a few blocks away- just have to be mindful of surroundings as you walk and don't leave any valuables in car.Service was great- I sat upstairs at their limited seating and someone came around for food and drink. Bonus is you're not obligated to order if you get a seat and they were super nice about it.Cute little venue with bathrooms and both floors. They had water available to fill your own empty container or just use disposable cups they have.Bring ear plugs/loops etc to save your ears. Expect to come at least 30 mins before the show if you want seating. Have fun!!

This concert hall is a great San Francisco institution. Many great musicians have played here over the years. This intimate venue is one of my favorite places to watch a show because there are no bad views of the stage. I came here to see Roc Marciano. Good place to listen to music during the Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall, go to the Great American Music Hall.

Saw the Red Room Orchestra at The Great American Music Hall and had a great time!Definitely a bit more of an intimate venue, but I can appreciate how good of a view I got of the stage. On that same note, it can be a bit cramped navigating the place, but it made for a great time.

A diverse line up here. Recently visited here for Kinna Grannie concert. Incredible acoustics for vocalist and independent concepts. Second floor has a cafe seating usually full. Very affordable but always full. Overlooking the balcony is an incredible sight. Definitely take pictures on both levels. The decor and acoustics and lighting is incredible. We parked far away and Uber'ed here for easy parking. Some concerts allow in and out privilege with a special stamp

Love this venue. We were here for NYE to see Twin temple and it was amazing. The staff at the venue is friendly efficient and welcoming. The venue itself is beautiful and reminiscent of San Francisco in a decadent past. The bathrooms are well kept and to show how attentive the staff is here, when they noticed a line for the lower bathroom they escorted us to the 2nd floor bathroom. If I'm ever on the fence about going out to see a band, know that the band is playing at the great American music hall will definitely sway me to buy a ticket and go out. They do have food at some shows and the food has always been fantastic. Parking - both lots and street parking are within walking distance but as in any place in SF make sure to pay attention to the street signs. We will definitely be back.
