I came in to purchase beer. The cashier seems nice until I show my ID. I gave him my passport. It's a valid passport and not a fake drivers license from some random state. I turned 21 a month ago and it says that on the birth date. He hands the passport back to me and says I'm not 21. I told him I turned 21 in June and it's now July. He says "sorry" and still won't sell it. Do you want my money or not? I know supporting local businesses is supposed to be "compassionate" and more ethical than giving money to corporations or whatever but I ended up just going to Target.

Never judge a liquor store by its size. If you have never been inside this store, this is what you can expect. Left side of the wall: medicine, canned goods, ramen, candies and other dry goods. Right wall: the alcoholic beverages (aka: the good stuff), bread, cookies. At the very end of this aisle is the chilled beverage section. Watch your step because there is a mini-ramp and uneven floors. Service: I would give them 5 stars, I come here very often for soda/candy/ramen and the storekeepers are really nice. The guy in the morning gives me a very honest opinion about the beverages that they carry and will let you decide if you still want to buy it regardless of what they think. Products: I think I would give it 4 stars, considering it is a very small place they are able to keep a decent inventory. Price: 4 stars. I don't expect things to be cheap since it is a convenience store, but they are reasonable. Parking: 4.5 stars Sutter-Stockton Garage is right next to it! It would have been 5, but parking ain't free...They accept credit cards over $4 transaction, so carry cash for small purchases.

This grocery/liquor store is located in a prime area, especially if you are staying in a hotel in the china town or union square area. They have a huge selection of wine, beer, and liquor. Also, there is a nice selection of groceries including fresh fruit, canned goods, cereals, and snacks. Also, if you are a traveller and forgot any of your toiletries, they have it all, shampoo, toothpaste/brush, shaving cream, lotions, soaps. The owner and the family are so nice! They can answer any questions you have about the city and give directions. I would definitely recommend this store to anyone in the city.

Worst experience I have ever had at a minimart in my life. Aside been overly priced, the owner who had his son working , who looked under 10yrs old, did not place all the items I purchased in my bag. I stood there and asked where the rest of my items were and he said I already took them, which I did not. I asked for my money back or to please give me the items purchased and he went on to call me a thief and he had me on camera. I asked him to show us the video and he would not. I don't know how many people this guy has scammed, but the worst experience so far. Do not go there or support these type of "business owners".

This place sucks. I came in to buy a cup noodle for lunch. I choose the spicy Shin cup noodle. AND NOTHING ELSE. NO ALCOHOL. The mofo at the register charged me a underage fee!!!!!!!! Do I look like a kid to you??? The cup noodle was $2.25. Bruh it's only worth less than a dollar. Please give your business to other liquor stores. This one don't deserve ANYTHINGGGGGG

I am one of those Yelpers that have joined Yelp to specifically complain about the service I received in a particular store. I could understand somebodys issue with this if the place I was reviewing was anything other than a Liquor store, but in a liquor store the only thing TO review is the service. The liquor in every liquor store is all the same, and there is bum piss in practically any liquor store you enter. A surly clerk demanding the ID's of every person in your party when said people did not touch the liquor or exchange any money with the purchaser is unacceptable in this state. Denying sales because I simply stated that I havn't been asked for friends to show their ID in California is unacceptable.Whatever. There are over 3,000 liquor stores in this city* so I really shouldn't care, but I had to express my distaste for this place on the interweb. As that is what these series of tubes is for, no?*Not actually true
