As a crêpe connoisseur, I can confidently say this spot rivals the crêpe stands scattered around Paris. I will go to great lengths to get my hands on a Nutella banana crêpe (with whipped cream, of course), and Grand Crêperie absolutely smashes it. Their presentation is excellent, the ingredients are perfectly ripe, and the feel of the place surpasses any standards of a french crêperie. Don't pass up your opportunity to experience the pinnacle of crêpe excellence. If you're passing through the Ferry Building and that urge hits, give this spot a try.

Update: Several hours after eating, I had mild food poisoning symptoms, and Grande Crêperie was the only place I ate at all day. In hindsight, the consistency of the quiche was very loose, and I wonder if it was under-cooked. The quiche sits out on the counter, so possibly beware. --This is an authentic crêperie located in the SF Ferry Building. We got the mushroom savory crapes, one with and one without an egg. I recommend with the egg for brunch! Their coffee is good, and strong. We also got a slice of veggie quiche, which was good, but missing a central ingredient to tie the flavors together. Looking forward to trying other dishes here.

Tasty but small and pricy. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Service is not as good because the cashier/server is extremely busy. I recommend the business rearrange the task assignments because the people in the kitchen seem to be chilling. Love the vibe and the ferry building.

Came here on an afternoon walk and the vibe was really nice. Love the decor and the stack of vinyls available on the side. I tried the banana flambee and the texture decent but I wasn't the biggest fan of the flavor.Lil pricey but the service was good and it's a good place to sit and rest.

3.5 stars. Great to have a crepe place in the area, and this place is ok. Got a complete crepe and a strawberry one. Reasonable if you are in area or craving crepes, but not a destination place. Pluses:Solid selection of sweet and savory crepesFriendly staff and quick serviceNot too long of a line, even during Saturday lunch. So so:Croissants and other baked goods are cold, so they are just ok. Bit crowded space, right next to the door, so feels more of a quick grab and go or eat and go place.

11/29/2024This little place in the Ferry Building was not busy when we arrived. It was small and quaint, towards one of the back entrances. The plain croissant and pain au chocolat croissants were fresh, flaky and delicious. We ordered a Nutella crepe for Little O at 11:18 am. We did not get it until 11:30 am!!! The guy making the savory crepes was cranking out 2-3 crepes versus the lady that made one sweet crepe. What is going on?!? The female employee at the register does not communicate at all with those cooking the crepes. She seems overwhelmed taking orders, bagging pastries, and making coffee. Then when Little O went to eat her crepe we noticed something cooked into it - a piece of paper! We brought it back to the lady at the counter. She did not apologize at all or offer to have a new one made. We just asked for a refund. She happily gave it to us but still no apology. We gave two stars because the pastries were pretty good. But to have paper cooked into the crepe definitely turned us off (one star since you can't give zero stars).

So after checking out the very busy farmers market at the Ferry Building, we decided to sit somewhere and get some food. Friend told me she already had an early morning snack of hard boiled eggs from the 7-11 close to her hotel, so I should get whatever that I wanted. We happened to pass by Grande Creperie which was on my "to try" list. Very busy on the particular Saturday we visited with lots of tourists. Line was a tad long and I had to wait maybe 15 minutes to order. I'm starting to appreciate those order it yourself type of kiosk in addition to in-person ordering. Maybe I'm just hungry and getting impatient. Signs of our time. Anyhoo, I got the La Marguerite crepe and an Americano. You pick up the drink first and then you can go find a seat with the order # they give you and a staff will deliver your crepe. The crepe itself is pretty substantial as it was a buckwheat crepe filled with tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, greens and olive oil. My first time eating a buckwheat crepe. I ate it all by myself and it was pretty good tho I think I would want to try a sweet crepe next time. I reasoned that since it was a vegetarian crepe, it was fairly healthy and a good start to my day. Americano tastes like what it should. Ambiance is a small shop inside the ferry building with a few tables inside and some outside seatings. We prefer to sit outside as it was a nice day.

Cute French restaurant in a corner of the Ferry Building with both indoor and outdoor seating. We ordered two savory crepes, an iced latte, and a chai latte for a total of about $45. The crepes were quite good - light and not too heavy with fresh ingredients. The restaurant was quite crowded at noon on a Sunday with a line to order. There was no more outdoor seating so we sat inside, which was a bit cramped. Overall good choice for a light brunch or lunch, but a little pricey and crowded.

The crepes are delicious but lacked just a bit of flavor. The service was great and the crepes came out pretty fast. Would recommend but wouldn't go out of my way to get it.

5 stars for the pastries. I have now had the Pain Au Chocolat, Pain Suisse and Almond Croissant. They were all good, but Pain Au Chocolat and Pain Suisse being my faves. These pastries are from Le Marais bakery. I've had many bakeries in the Bay Area and these are my current love affair. I am very happy they have their items at this creperie as it is closer to me!
