Soooo...I ain't afraid of no GHOST! Ahhh!! Such a lovely surprise this cute little foodery in downtown RWC! They have an interesting menu of gastropub grub, and it will make you want to order a few appetizers and entrees! I ordered the Ghostwood Trio to start, you pick 3 appetizers off their app menu. I picked Fried Shrimp, Fried Pickles, Cheese Curds. Dang, you can really get carried away here. The apps come with loads of sauces! I must note that a very kind Angel marked all the names of the sauces on the container lids (my order was to-go), so sweet and thoughtful! Thank you! The Cheese Curds are really good! The shrimps were a little over done and I'm not a fan of fried pickles, that's just me. My entree I ordered the Sliders with Fries. The sliders a smaller smash burgers and really, really good. The little buns are grilled and the burgers are smashed with American cheese. The fries are just the way I like them, bigger than average and crisp but soft. Loved this! The smash burgers are perfect. You can order an additional burger for an extra minimal charge. They're really good. Please give these kind folks a try when you're in the area. Really great gastropub grub, casual and tasty!

I've now been here more than five times.And I wanna make sure everyone knows that they have an absolutely insane Smashburger !This burger is fantastic . Do I need to explain it? no, but if you like a good crispy smash burger with a great potato bun this is it.Since they brew their own beer, there's plenty of choices and I know you will like the one that you find that suits you.They've expanded because of demand so enjoy when you can.

Best lunch I've had in Redwood City, and I've lived here since 2016. My wife and I ordered the appetizer sampler with fried shrimp (perfectly crispy and delicious), brussels sprouts (rich and flavorful), and wings with "blue" barbecue sauce (amazing). I had the Redwood Rodeo Burger, and was blown away by how perfectly crispy the smashed patties were at the edges. My wife had the Fried Chicken Sando and devoured it despite her usual fried chicken skepticism. The fries were unbelievably crispy on the outside and soft (and hot!) on the inside. Plus, because of the apps, we had a variety of dipping sauces for everything.Service was great, as was my espresso martini!We went on a Wednesday at 1pm and the place was empty. Redwood City, do better. If anywhere in downtown deserves to be a hip hangout spot with beer, wine, cocktails, delicious food, video games, pinball, pool, etc., it should be this one. Do yourself a favor and check it out!(Tiny negatives not worth deducting any points: My Caesar salad was a bit under-dressed and I wish there were more regular-height tables with chairs.)

I have to post another review to say that other than in-n-out and five guys, I feel like I can't really get a good burger in RWC. So many amazing restaurants but sometimes I just wanna go to a restaurant or bar and get me a good juicy burger. I HAVE FOUND THAT SPOT IN GHOSTWOOD. THAT SMASH BURGER IS INSANE OMG!!!!!!! You see how quickly I came back too?? I'm officially obsessed.If you ever leave me I will never forgive you

I took my girls here for lunch and to satisfy our cravings for chicken wings. This place did not disappoint!! The service was quick, friendly and they even offer both board games AND arcade while waiting (or after while digesting their delicious bites)!!Now let's talk FOOD! The wings were perfectly cooked and the meat literally fell off the bone. The garlic, truffle fries and fried pickles were tasty, addictive and paired lovely with their house made sauces!! The beer they brew in-house was crisp, fresh and delicious! I loved everything about this place and plan to revisit our "new friends" and local chicken wing "to go" VERY SOON. The ambiance is comfy, cool, family friendly and is hosted by some super cool staff, we felt we could call our new friends. P.S. my 12 year old girls have been raving about this place and begged me to take them back. Chore list done? Ok. Here we come visit again!

Popped in for late night drinks and snacks with friends. We got one round of drinks and an order of the fried cheese curds. Staff was friendly. Drinks came out quickly. Cheese curds were a bit on the oily side but a unique and super tasty dish. Mostly large tables that were set a bit close together. I don't know if this is the best use of space because most tables were only half full but back to back tables felt like a tight squeeze.

Rustic Vibe with a great selection of home-brewed beers. The Fried Chicken Wings should be Michelin starred. Service is always quick and punctilious. When I want wings... THIS IS the go-to. Plus: they now have a separate room from the bar/dinning that offers foosball tables, pool tables and a few basketball arcade game machines and additional dining. Makes for a great date-night, happy-hour get together or even a work lunch outing.

We came here when they first opened and didn't want everyone to know about it because we didn't want it to get too crowded. I know selfish. Haha They recently renovated the place and we love it now because there's extra space for the kids to run around, more tables, floor games, more TVs and it's not too crowded. However, I think their chef changed because we loved their pastrami egg rolls which they don't have anymore. Their food is still decent. We ordered fried pickles, buffalo chicken sandwich with ceasar, kids chicken and fries, kids Mac n cheese, salad, chicken tacos, chicken salad, and I tried a seasonal jacked up beer which was tasty. Oh we also got pizza bread which was a little disappointing.The owner was really nice too.

Amazing staff and great food. The beers are delicious. I especially liked the Hannibal nectar and the baywood pils. The hot chicken sandwich and wings were Amazing can't wait to go backAdam the bartender was great !! Can't wait to go back

Perfect name for the place. Ghost! We sat at the bar for over 20 minutes before I had to ask the guy walking back and forth in his apron if he was the chef or the bartender. He said bartender. I told him our friend and I have been sitting here with menus in front of us for over 20 minutes and nobody even acknowledged us. There were only 2 other people at the bar so I couldn't understand why. Anyway, I told him about the terrible service and he say sorry. Blah. Don't go here unless you want very poor service.
