Gateway Croissant

It's not a five star doughnut but Gateway is a five star establishment. We're not aspiring for perfect texture or perfect glaze ratios, but they're open 24/7, are fast and friendly, have an healthy selection, and most importantly, they have the best maple bar I've ever had. They are a cozy corner shop that I hope stays forever. Shops like these are the cornerstone of every big city and I find their presence comforting. Cheap drip coffee that you fill yourself, some Asian desserts in plastic click containers, and just really excellent doughnuts. Nothing fancy, but so good.

Favorite donuts in the city! HUGE variety, good coffee, great service and open 24hrs which is a plus.No inside seating. Cash only!

If you ever find your bus rerouted with your new spot being at Golden Gate and Larkin, pop into Gateway Croissant while you wait! There are lots of pastry and drink options. I hadn't had lunch, so I ordered a ham and cheese croissant and a lemon Snapple. The prices are great for the city. The person assisting me the day I stopped in was really sweet.My bus arrived shortly after receiving my order, and when I got home, it was still hot! It was delicious and filling. I'll definitely be back in to try a donut!

They have good customer service . There donuts are good but I see the make a lot that site out and they leave there door open with bugs coming in and out . There's coffee is some of the best I had as well there is no place to sit. The take cash or card and are a good price .

Yeah... it's a corner coffee/donut shop on a not so beautiful corner in the tenderloin district. It is what it is. I'm doing some work in the area for awhile and just stopped in for a coffee before heading across the street. If you're looking for a cup of cheap hot coffee stop in. If you're looking for anything else walk on.The inside is a little bit worn and not a great ambience to meet for coffee since all the tables and chairs are to one side of the room. Service was efficient, not a lot of chit-chat. Know what you want, pay and move on with your day kinda place. Last words...be careful out there!

The lone donut shop in the 'Loin. I haven't been back here in a long time. Today, I dropped in to pick up a dozen for the office. The supply was plenty. They have all kinds of donuts. They don't fry them in old oil either because you do not have that old oil aftertaste or smell. Service was quick. Donuts are done nicely, not misshaped. I also ordered a mocha. That was a tad too sweet for me but it is still cheaper than Peet's or the fancy coffee shop across the street.

Came in and they are fairly busy. Very nice owners. I had the ham and cheese croissant 7/10 I wish it was white cheese. I think they should think of another way to put their sugar in better containers . Had the French roast brewed coffee 7.5/10.

We went on a Thursday night and bought some doughnuts and one Croissant. When we got home we placed them in the refrigerator for morning breakfast. I bought a cinnamon roll and it tasted great. I took it to work and it was still flakey and it tasted like I just bought it still. I also bought a croissant and it was buttery and tasted really good.My husband and daughter bought 3 coconut donuts. They have not tried them.

Fresh and wide variety! Got stuck in the area for a little while. All restaurants were closed. Found this hole in the wall place! Soooooo good! I'll be going back soon

Picked up a couple croissants while waiting for some documents after an appointment. Very, very fresh. The pineapple croissant had pineapple pieces in it and my kid enjoyed the chocolate one. Great place to grab breakfast on the go. The service was friendly and efficient.
