Fuwa Dumpling 福娃餃子

Solid dumplings and apps were pretty good. The pan fried dumplings are super juicy while the boiled dumplings are good. The chicken wings are really crispy but I think they could use a little more flavor. The cucumber salad is pretty average - exactly what you expect from a cucumber salad.My outstanding item is the '02. Fried Crab Cheese Puff'. It's sooooo good. Lightly sweet from the cream cheese and super crispy. Extra good when it's hot but even cold, it's solid. My favorite item by far.Cute atmosphere and service is kind and attentive.

Friendly staff and clean! But let's talk about the real star here: the dumplings.The menu offers a great variety, and every single dumpling I tried was perfection. Got the steamed mushroom and fish & zucchini and egg dumplings, and the chive pancake was deliciously shaped like a hot pocket. My order arrived quickly and steaming hot.I'm surprised this place doesn't have more ratings!

Another great dumpling place in the neighborhood. Pork XLB: nice thin skin, pork a bit soft though.Chives pancake: quite like this version with a thinner skin than usual.Bean curd stick salad with cucumber: very surprising, very flavorful.Spicy thinly sliced pig ear: not spicy enough.Fried wonton: seems like fried XLB, but a bit too oily.

My friends and I were so impressed with Fuwa Dumpling! Service was fairly quick and the space was really well decorated and clean. Recs: Boiled Dumplings, Chicken WingsPrice: ~$20/person- Chicken and Corn Dumplings: So sizeable with the perfect texture. Tasted incredible with chili oil and soy sauce.- Salt and Pepper Chicken Wings: Came out piping hot, super moist on the inside and well-seasoned and crispy on the outside. A bit pricey for the size but honestly cooked to perfection. - Beef Noodle Soup: A huge bowl for what we paid! Noodles had the perfect texture, and while the soup was just a little more on the salty side, we cleared the entire thing.LOL the fact that I only have one photo after this meal is proof of how hungry I was and how good the dishes were. I could see myself coming back here to get a boiled dumpling spread. This place really deserves its good rating!

Came here on a rainy day, its perfect time for some family style soothing food. The restaurant is clean and bright, Chinese traditional style. I ordered dumplings, beef noodle soups and chicken wings etc. the chicken wings are my favorite because they are very flavorful and crispy; probably the most crispy chicken wings I ever had. The dumplings are big and it tastes like homemade dumplings. It's perfect for a rainy day. The beef pancakes are filled with sauce, i like it as well! Overall, i recommend this place!!

4.5 Yelp Stars***Stopped by here for lunch with my family today! Right when we got inside around noon, it was quite empty and quiet. Within 20mins, it was full house (so crazy!). Guess we got lucky to secure a table right away. The service here was excellent! The waitress noticed my husband and I strolling our babies in and seated us at the corner so we had more space to put our double stroller. She even pulled down the blinds for our comfort since it was very sunny. Then, she grabbed a high chair for our toddler and came back to us a few minutes later to see if we wanted to order a drink first as we settled down to look at the menu. Very attentive and quick!Since my husband was craving dumplings, we ordered the boiled mushroom and fish dumplings, napa cabbage and pork dumplings, xiao loong bao, and two cold dishes: one potato salad and the other dried bean curd salad. All the items were very light but in a good way!The boiled dumplings were quite tasty! I preferred the napa cabbage and pork one over the mushroom and fish one because it had more flavor and sweetness in the broth. However, both were very settling on the stomach and body, especially on a cold day! The dumpling skin was so fresh, better than most dumpling spots in the city! Tasted like they just wrapped it! Our two year old toddler literally half a full plate of the 14 pieces of dumplings by himself in two settings. He loved them! We were surprised at how much he ate because he became very picky with dumplings lately.The xiao loong bao was only okay in comparison to other dumpling spots. It definitely needed more flavor in my opinion but still good. They did not serve it very hot but warm compared to other dumpling restaurants, so I was able to pop the dumpling in my mouth without biting a hole on top for the soup.Both cold dishes were very enjoyable! Their potato salad dish had a nice tangy and spicy kick but our favorite spot for that would be at Tasty Place in Millbrae. Their dried bean curd salad comes with cucumber, carrots, and what tasted like sesame oil with a bit of vinegar. It was quite refreshing!Prices for dumplings were not cheap, but they gave much more in quantity compared to other dumpling restaurants. In addition, they also made their dough fresh and there was a window stand for customers to watch. That was delightful! Overall, great place that I would recommend. Would be coming back next time to order frozen dumplings next time after seeing how much my toddler loved them!

The food was so good! Went with a group of people and we ordered dumplings, cucumber salad, wood-ear mushroom salad, beef noodle soup, wonton soup. It was a cute little restaurant and the service was also amazing. You also get a huge number of dumplings (12-15) which were so good that you could definitely sit and eat all of them. My only issue was that I wish they had other noodle options other than the noodle soups

Decided to give this place a try as I was craving dumplings. Came here around 2pm and there was no wait. Plenty of street parking as well (without toll). We ordered: 1. Pork XLB: Lots of soup inside. Wasn't the best XLB I've had in SF but still above avg. 2. Pan fried Onion and Beef dumplings: Perfectly cooked with the nice crunch on the outside and nicely flavored. I can see them hand making it behind the glass which was a nice bonus. 3. Pan Fried Corn & Chicken Dumpling: I liked these better than the beef dumplings because of the corn textured crunch with it. Again, i didn't feel like any of these dumplings blew my mind but I did like that they're hand made and fresh. 4. House Beef noodle soup: This is the saving dish of the entire day. Although they're called fuwa Dumpling, I think the beef noodle soup is the best item on the menu. So much flavor and the beef is so soft and delicious. It reminds me a lot Kau Kee in Hong Kong which is the famous beef noodle soup place there. 5. Sliced beef: I thought this was just okay. The beef was a bit dry. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Overall, solid choice if you're looking for dumplings. Great service and a huge variety of items of different dumplings. I wasn't blown away by the dumplings here but I really recommend the Beef Noodle Soup.

Wow amazing. Love love this new place. Make me feel like I am in Beijing eating hand made dumplings and noodles. And the place is so nice and clean tooI am pretty picky and this dumpling has the thinnest skin with juicy insides but the skin is also chewy in the best way. The noodles with beef also delicious - super tender beef and al dente style hand pulled noodles. Such reasonable pricing. I am almost afraid for the word to get out and they raise their prices. We will be back with friends.
