Solid spot. Coffee is done well, espresso has the right balance of acid. The milk was frothed perfect for my cortado.The cafe is open air, so there's a decent amount of long tables in the front. More of a grab and go or a super casual chat with a friend; not meant for working or for longer hangouts. Staff was super friendly. Overall, would recommend!

The only thing I regret about visiting Front is not having stopped by sooner!I was looking for a café with outdoor seating to do some work and we just happened to pass by on our way to Tartine (which we didn't go to). They had tons of table space and a cool wooden bleacher seating area with a cover. I ordered a black coffee - probably some of the best I've had in a while - and a ham and feta scone. It was still fresh and warm! Service was friendly and quick. Definitely can't wait to come back to chill another time. Really wish this place came up higher on search engines, such a solid coffee shop.

A local spot with great coffee and few treats. They do not have many food items to pick from, so if you are looking for a long menu, this is not your place. This is the perfect spot for good coffee and tea, and some matcha drinks. The staff is extremely friendly, unlike some other spots within walking distance. They have a large outdoor seating parklet that can seat small and larger groups. I enjoy their drip on calmer week day mornings.

Came after a tattoo as I needed me a pick me up. Nice little place with seating outside, had a wonderful cup of the drop coffee, the staff is great as well

I got a latte from Front, which was lovely. It was $6 and I paid by card, and I didn't see a tip screen, but didn't think anything of it (maybe I missed it). When I got home, I received an emailed receipt that they had charged a $3 tip, or FIFTY PERCENT, on my $6 latte. I'm not that mad about the $3 but a 50% non-consensual tip is ridiculous. Please change this policy.

I was in the area and wanted to grab a matcha from a local coffee shop. Came across Front on Yelp and decided to give them a try. The coffee shop is just a window, which is really cool and different, kinda reminds me of the Blue Bottle in Hayes Valley on Linden. They also have a nice seating area out front that looks like bleachers.I got the matcha with whole milk. From the looks of it, it doesn't look like there was much matcha used at all because it was a very pale green color. I gave it a sip and was almost instantly disappointed at the taste of it :( I guess being an avid matcha latte drinker you kinda know when it's good matcha and when it's not. This was not. Oh wells.Don't let my short coming with their matcha discourage you from trying them out, I'm sure they have excellent coffee even if their matcha didn't make the cut :)

Great coffee option in Potrero Flats. Staff is nice and helpful. Patrons are friendly. Outdoor seating is serene and gets lots of morning sun.

Best coffee in the mission. I said what I said - if you like real coffee (the beans, not the sugar) this is the spot. Despite the buzz that Sightglass nearby gets - this spot is 10x better. They nail every pull and it comes out consistently smooth and delicious.Staff is also super friendly and kind! Just be prepared to wait a little for your coffee (this isn't quick stop sitch), but it's well worth it :) If you want a real cup of the good stuff front is it

Love this place! They are so nice here. Excellent coffee and pastries. I got a buttermilk biscuit and asked if they had extra jam - they were very accommodating, went to the back to get some, and made sure I had a utensil to spread it. It's the little things that make a big difference. Espresso is also excellent and reasonably priced. I always stop here when I'm in the neighborhood and highly recommend!

I love this coffee shop. Their coffee and espresso drinks are top notch. The butter dunked jammies (pastry) are TOO good. The outdoor seating that almost always has beautiful morning sunlight is a perfect way to start the day. But the best part is the people. Keeks knows our whole family by name and makes one of the best cappuccinos in SF and that's some competition! Keeks, Sarah, and Anshu are so warm and welcoming. We adore the whole crew!
