This place is easy to miss, if you're in a hurry. So glad to have gone inside and tried some items. I was the only guest in there, but didn't mind that. Maybe they are slammed during lunch hours. I ordered a Salvadoran Tamale. Which was served wrapped in a banana leaf, piping hot, steaming profusely. I also ordered two other items. A bean and cheese pupusa (which was blah in taste, but quite filling) and a Tilapia Taco. I love fish tacos! I don't pass up a chance to eat them. This one was Salvadoran style. Served with sliced avocado, sautéed peppers, and black beans. It was sizable. A total standout too. YUM!They serve breakfast items. Interested to come back one morning soon. A few types of agua fresca to choose from. Passion fruit and jamaica were available. I got a good vibe from the staff members, and the server named Byron was quite pleasant. I can always appreciate consideration and congeniality. Thanks a lot!

Don't write this off as another taqueria. This is a new casual El Salvadorian and Mexican restaurant just off of 24th Street Bart, which is exactly how my hungry self accidentally found this place. This is new as in 'three months old' and likely a place I will visit again. Tacos and burritos, yes. But, if you come here, you are missing out if you don't try the El Salvadorian or Oaxacan tamales. Oh. My. God. Their pupusas are also stars, here, as is ... hold for it, their *housemade mole*! You read that correctly. If you've ever made mole from scratch, you know the work and ingredient list this entails. Even the tomatillo and chipotle sauces are housemade. Oh, I was happy and full when I left this place. I wish I had taken more photos before I devoured my El Salvadorian tamale. Chicken, potatoes, masa in a banana leaf... oh this is my love language.

Tried this place 2x now walking to and from 24th Street BART and I think it's a hidden gem. Delicious Oaxacan Tamales filled with chicken mole and delicious home style soups. Service is excellent and friendly. The restaurant has a lot more room in the back and an outside patio that looks inviting on a sunny day. Worth a try.

Walked by this place several times on my way to Bart. 5-530 seems pretty dead.. I'm always open to trying new places. My daughter texted me that day requesting tamales. My experience has been Salvadorian tamales are moister and the masa usually has more flavor. I saw a picture on their Yelp with a reviewer emphasizing how great their tomatillos sauce was. When I received my order and asked if the sauce was in there the guy said that's probably not our restaurant maybe a wrong photo we don't have that sauce. He gave me a green watery bland sauce and a semi spicy red sauce. When I got home my daughter and I felt the Grocery store La Victoria Green taco sauce was better than what they offered. The tamales were good, moist, big chunks of chicken. The chicken had good flavor and moist. Had carrots, potatoes and an olive. I'm in the dental field so very wary of olives so I was careful when biting into it. Which I'm glad because the olive still had a pit in it!!!! It took about 15-20 minutes to get my tamales once I ordered. I'm not sure exactly why as the restaurant was empty. Maybe they had pre cooked masa and gathered the ingredients and steamed them?! I'm not sure. I have to say it was very good just lacking a tad of flavor in masa and I was disappointed they did not offer better salsa or sauces to compensate. Regular tamales usually have bland masa but Salvadorian tamales usually have more bang in the masa department. We ate it at home with my own sauce and added some of my homemade Curtido it was a great meal. I may go back but just be care if you go to not break a tooth on an olive pit!!

This place is a hidden gem, you don't want to miss it! Definitely need to point out the tamales, both the Oaxacan and Salvadoran one. The burritos are little cheaper than other restaurants out here too. Good mole, pupusas are filling and I really like their rice and beans. Support local businesses! Check this place out!

I wanted to try this place because it's new to the neighborhood that I work in. However, it was disappointing. It's a mixed menu, with Salvadoran and Mexican options. I got a carne asada torta, which was supposed to come with beans and jalapeño. The meat was flavorless, they put mustard on the torta, which is not traditional, and it did not have beans or jalapeños. My friend got the mole plate and it was just okay. Furthermore the service was not great. Needless to say I'm sticking to the other restaurants in the area that have similar food and are better tasting.

I ordered from this place through my workplace and I cannot say how -disgusting- the food is. Even the chips were not only crappy Costco big-bad for $4 chips BUT they were sooo stale and chewy, OMG, what a JOKE! Never again if this is the flavor of Frisco, forget it
