EDIT: updating this review to 1 star after Alberto angrily sent me a private DM over Yelp about my previous 3 star review (which is equivalent of OK, which is exactly what I felt it was). If you would like to respond to reviews and improve your business, please do so in public and don't come after people in private. I write reviews purely based on what I observe and I don't have a grudge against your business in particular. I visit multiple businesses in one day sometimes because I am searching for high quality ingredients for my dishes and unfortunately some businesses will have a better showing than others! Unacceptable behavior from the owner which did absolutely nothing to move things in a positive direction. ------------------------------------I went to go check this place out as it was close by to the other fish market that I visited in the Mission (Sun Fat). This place also sells meat, so if you're looking for something outside of fish, it should be able to cover your needs. I wasn't too impressed by what I saw so I didn't end up buying anything. The fish selection was nowhere near what Sun Fat offers and the quality was visually not the same either. The meat was okay but $18.99/lb for a ribeye with hardly any marbling is also quite steep.Hopefully they increase the selection and quality of their seafood!

Great selection, really good quality, reasonable prices.When I am in the Mission, I stop by this place to pick-up something tasty to bring home.Their name says it best. Fresh Meat and Seafood Market.Love some of the pre-cooked and chilled seafood items like the plump cooked shrimp (sold in different shrimp sizes) and cooked whole octopus (cheaper than Costco!).Occasionally, if I am going to a BBQ cookout I'll pick a ground beef chuck or ground chicken to stick on the grill.You will find some wild caught (not farmed) fish, too.I haven't been cooking for myself lately, but I when I was younger I had a subscription to Cook's Magazine and would tap into my inner chef.Wish I knew about this place back then. It's the perfect one stop place to imagine your next meat or seafood dish.Some of the folks who work there don't speak a lot of English. I believe they are speaking Cantonese. So keep that in mind when ordering.

TL;DR - Fresh, large market with lots of variety!I got a crab here to make my husband Boiling Crab! The crab was large and in charge - and by that I mean the crab fell into the lower tank when they first picked it for me ! The lady who helped me killed the crab for me too. Ideally you want to kill the crab before boiling, because they feel pain when you boil them alive...I also got Bloody Clams which were on sale. Absolutely delicious. If you put it in your oven don't do it for more than 5 minutes they cook pretty quickly. The sauce I made was a Vietnamese one - neutral oil like canola, green onions, salt and garlic heated in a small sauce boil and on high in the microwave for 45 seconds. Yum!

Great selection, clean and very friendly employees. Today we went in to get blood clams and costillas. The very nice lady that helped us cut the costillas the way I wanted for soup. She even put the clams on ice for us to bring home.We have shopped here a few times and always the same great service, very fair prices and it is clean. They have a very good selection on meat and fish.Today they had fresh crab at $9.99 a pound.Please support small business in this trying time.

It was my uncle's birthday and we have a big family dinner. We decided to eat at home this year instead of outside due to the coronavirus fear going on. So I decided to make my uncle's favorite dish in Chinese restaurants, wasabi flavored shredded chicken with pork stomach. I went to this shop and was surprised that they have everything I needed! Whole chicken, pork stomach and even condiments! Meat is really fresh. The pork stomach is not even stinky at all. Environment is really clean. Staff is really friendly. Location is really convenient. Price is really cheap and affordable too! This will be my go to shop from now on!

1/10/2024,I bought 4 salmon heads, 2 grouper heads, a bag of salmon bones, 1 striped bass, and a bag of squid! $46.00 total. Superb Market in all San Francisco !!mMy only issue today at the market was the attendant Chinese man who weighed my fish charged me $86.00 I challenged him after he handed to me his receipt by asking the regular Chinese woman worker who I always see there to weigh my fish. $46.00 total.Note: Rocket scientists employ at many establishments.
