What is Cali-Mex foodCalifornia inspired Mexican food...THIS IS IT! Mexican soul with a laid-back California vibe! The food here is amazingly tasty and different than your average Mexican restaurant. Everything in their menu will blow your mind. My favorite are the duck nachos. The ingredients are super fresh and you can tell everything is made in a very detailed way. It is worth making your way to Frank Grizzly's to try a different take on Mexican Food. You will not regret making your way out here.Another amazing gem hidden in the Bayview.

My husband was set on trying this spot after seeing it on a foodie's IG. He called in our order and did a quick drive by to pick up on rainy Saturday.We got the breakfast quesadilla with birria meat and the grizzly quesadilla with birria meat. The taste of the food itself was amazing: meat was tender and flavorful and the cheese ratio was on point. For a name like Frank Grizzly, I'll be honest that I was expecting large bear-ish portions, in which both our orders were lacking. I'm not much a heavy eater but I felt like I could eat another section of quesadilla if there was any! My husband was disappointingly still hungry so I gave him a portion of mine.The place is located in a cleaned up area of SF, so if the weather was better, I'm sure it's a nice walk to other places to grab dessert since you'll have room!

I was circling for parking in a place I will not name in the city and I was like f* it, imma go to Bayview or Viz to eat, I know there'll be parking. So I happen upon this taco spot. Really good vibe, and music. I got a two taco combo. Listen, the quesabirria-- chef's kiss and all that. Gooey inside, super hot from the plancha, consume was yummy. Then the shrimp taco, also delicious, had some mango pico and a h-handmade corn tortilla. My gripe, the tortilla was a lil small for the amount of shrimp and the pile of veg+pico+crema. Anyway, love love. And I'll be back when I'm out this way for work.

saw this randomly on a list, so made the trek out to bayview. incredibly good food, service was very friendly. got breakfast tacos, but all the items looked great.

If I lived in Bayview, I would eat here every Thursday thru Sunday. The tacos are hands down the most creative in the city. The flavors are beyond out of this world. Probably some of the best fish tacos I've ever had! But what really stands out is the service. They learn your name and make you feel like a regular even if it's your first time there! You ll spend a lot more money than your normal taqueria but it's damn worth it!

Super delicious tacos! Their roasted duck and quesabirria tacos were my top favorites. The duck was oh so flavorful and tender, while the quesabirria had just the right balance of juicy spice and savory cheese. Everything down to the chips and guac here were fantastic.To top it off, the service here is over the top amazing. Everyone on the staff was so incredibly friendly. They made me feel like I was home.I highly recommend a visit to Frank Grizzly's!

This was a delicious find. Traveling around the city looking for tiles and other items for our remodel, we ran across this little spot. I had a delicious fish taco where the fish was cooked perfectly. That's pretty rare. The second taco was duck and has a Chinese flair with a five spice seasoning and hoisin. The food came quickly and I finished just as quickly.

Dinner for two on a Thursday and we each had a quesabirria/duck taco combo with watermelon agua fresca. All were delicious and the perfect serving size! Before the main event, we enjoyed a colorful and fresh salad as part of our combos. Service was warm and welcoming, even if we were there an hour before closing. So glad this cute spot is just a few T train stops away from home. Looking forward to my next visit!

We are so happy Frank Grizzly's opened up in our neighborhood! The food is always on point! I've ordered the shrimp burrito and fish tacos in the past and highly recommend all their seafood options. Today we ordered the Cali Bowl with fish and Nachos with chicken. Delicious as usual! What's makes this place stand out is not just the amazing food, it's the wonderful family that owns it. You are immediately greeted with a warm welcome and always surrounded with positive vibes. This makes our dining experience . Come check them out in Bayview!

This place was smaccin! Get the cali San Diego burrito. Off da chain! Also the Norcal cali burrito is smaccin as well it comes with all the fixings. The quessadilla is another one that is really good. The atmosphere has a family vibe and Kim and Jorge have excellent service. This is a must go, you won't be dissapointed.
