Five Star Truffles Co.

It's such a small shop that you might miss it if you are not actively looking for delicious truffles. I got their strawberry truffles and they tasted like real strawberries! You buy them in take-out containers, and they come out to only about $1 each, depending on the quantity that you buy. I also got a hot chocolate, which was very nice too.This is *the* no-frills truffles store to go to for truffles that you want to pop in your mouth immediately after leaving the store without having to fuss through the bows and tapes of fancy chocolate boxes.

Truffles could be bad, very very bad. Grainy or bitter. Not here, dude. You can get really smooth, rich truffles with amazing flavors. I love the spicy chile and earl grey, personally. Plus, all the fruity flavors are it. I'm afraid of going too often, though. $18 for 20 is just too good a deal for my waist. Will definitely visit again when looking for gifts.

This cute shop is a hole in the wall just off Castro street! We got the hot chocolate & it came with a truffle, which was nice! We chose the dark chocolate truffle which was delicious - very soft, creamy and addicting! I found the hot chocolate okay - it was a bit too sweet for me (I'm more of a dark chocolate fan, so I'd prefer other spots). I would definitely come back for the truffles! They also sell boxes of truffles, which would make a great gift!

This review is for the iced chocolate milk only. Service was good. Prices are reasonable. I found the iced chocolate drink to be very powdery. I actually felt like i had something stuck in my throat while drinking it. Also i didn't not find it to be chocolatey enough. I would definitely go with dandelion next time. We did get a free truffle and that was very good. No seating, strictly takeout.

Still my favorite chocolate truffles!In this whole in the wall place that has nowhere to sit and drink your coffee you'll find amazing chocolate truffles. You want boozy chocolate? They have it. You want regular flavors like strawberry and caramel? They have that too.Came here before a Yelp event and ended up eating and ordering 10 truffles.Ate them like potato chips.They sell coffee amd beverages here too in case you get thirsty. And yes, you can get a huge chocolate box to go for parties.One of the best stores in the Bay Area!

Five stars is right! We dropped in because my daughter wanted a coffee but when I saw the truffles I HAD to get some.I must say, they were the best dang truffles I have had. The Raspberry were particularly delicious. We did get a large box and chose multiple different flavors which all went in the same box. Honestly, since they all look exactly alike, I recommend seeing if they can put them in separate smaller boxes or something. Grabbing one to eat was always a surprise flavor.Quality truffles and the coffee was particularly good also.

BIPOC-owned homemade truffle spot in the Castro -I was on the hunt for gorgeous chocolates for my adopted mom here in San Francisco and decided to give Five Star Truffles a visit.I was greeted with a smile by Santo when I arrived and was impressed by the variety of Truffles. I ended up going with a variety of the non-liquor kind and got a Grand Marnier one for me for the road.The box is super cute and, honestly, you will not find a better price and value for chocolates here in the city. Give them a try!

BEST HOT CHOCOLATE IVE EVER HAD!!! Came with a free delicious truffle. There is huge variety of flavors of truffles and amounts you can buy. Great selection of coffee drinks. Me and my boyfriend passed by on a rainy day and decided to stop in, and now we found our new favorite place to get a hot coco. Definitely worth a visit if you are a chocolate lover. The person working was very nice.

These truffles are AMAZING!!! These are so good that I got a craving for them while I was cooking at home, left my house to go get some, and forgot my food on the stove lol. Although the house was filled with smoke, everything is okay, if not better, for now I had the best truffles and hot chocolate in San Francisco instead of boxed pasta.
