Fish In The Box

I have a friend who gets Fish in the Box basically every week, and I can totally see why. I thought they had high-quality food with generous portions and reasonable prices. I really enjoyed my meal here! I did the Build-Your-Own Poke Bowl, and they were doing a promotion of $3.50 off on bowls which made my order come out to be $13 (pre-tax and tip). I got half salad/half rice and chose both salmon and tuna for my proteins. They gave a lot of fish, and everything tasted super fresh! I also really liked their sauces; the bowl as a whole was well made with balanced flavors. My friend also ordered the Strawberry Milk with Matcha Cream Top, which we both LOVED. I honestly would come back just for the matcha alone. It's definitely more of a sweet drink, but I think it's worth it! It seems like they have a ton of takeout orders based on the number of to-go bags I saw them preparing, but the space itself is also solid for dining in! It's on the smaller end with a few tables. This place definitely hit my poke craving, and I would recommend it without a doubt.

What are you doing fish in the box?!? Absolutely loved their old sushi burritos and season themed bowls. This new format is much less tasty and a worst deal. Rolls are skimpy. It feels like they broke something that was working and I don't know why -- profit? It was such a beloved spot by many. Please please bring it back. I used to order from you every 1-2 weeks but will have to stop now.

Review is about to go serviceThe hamachi and salmon was pretty fresh :) Portions are a good size and yes it's pricey but worth it for a good treat. Huge fan of the hamachi order, would definitely recommend it. Miso soup was very flavorful Great grab and go service

4.5Ordered via door dash and it was pretty good even after sitting a bit while in transit. Rolls and sashimi were tasty not fishy, well executed. Chicken katsu curry was normal/standard (hard to mess this up really).

Ordered the Deluxe Box and my colleague ordered their Chicken Katsu Curry as well as the Tornado Roll to share for a pop of spicy tuna flavor.Colleague liked his no frills curry. I thoroughly, enjoyed the Deluxe Box, but how could I not x). The Deluxe came with Ikura, Hokkaido Scallops, Negi Toro, Amaebi, Real Crab, and Salmon Toro over rice. Work of art. No ginger surprisingly, but the box came with two soy sauce pipettes and a small serving of wasabi(?). What a treat though. My favorite was... nvm they're all my favorite. Hmm... the ones that I loved the most were probably the salmon toro and real crab. So good. Tornado Roll was okay. Surely outshined by the Deluxe Box. Probably should've ordered the Bonky Roll instead. At $54 on DoorDash, it was a nice treat yourself item. Not something I would splurge over often. Hehe one day possibly~

I came on a SundaTo order, there's only 1 kiosk and if people don't know what they want, then there will be a little bit of a wait. Their physical menu is on the window on the outside so you can check before heading over to the kiosk to order. My friend and I were pretty hungry so we ordered the larger options which actually came out in bowls not boxes lol:- Bluefin Maguro Box ($30)- Salmon Zuke Box ($25)Overall the fish quality tasted very fresh! The portion of fish for the price point was very reasonable! Pieces of fish were large and thic :-)Some cons:The sauce was disproportionate for our bowls. The tuna box had a good amount of sauce on the fish but a lot of sauce in the rice. The salmon pieces were a little too salty with the sauce but the rice was good. The tuna pieces we got also had tendon (connective tissue?) on it so it was a little tough to bite through - had to finish in one bite lol. The egg was a nice touch but with the soggy rice, having something crunchy / fresh, either on the side or in the bowl, would balance the bowl out. I.e. cucumbers, pickled vegetables, bean sprouts, etc. I'd come back again to try their deluxe box!

Ordered fish in the box for lunch. I got the spring box with white rice, avocado and extra ahi tuna. The fish was fresh and tasty. It was "fishy" if you know what I mean. Overall good quality food. Took off a star because wasn't the best I've had but still good!

We were confined to my daughter's apartment nearly next door to Fish in the Box because of health issues. What a delicious twist of fate! My daughter and I enjoyed several courses, including unagi roll, my favorite.

Fish In the Box has some solid sushi but to be honest they could've given some more sushi than what they provided. I got the sushi burrito as a late night dinner and it was pretty tasty and the quality was great. All in all, it's a solid spot.

Love, love, love all their food. It's a busy little place with only a few seats but oh, so good! We ordered out some sushi, tuna bowl and salmon bowl. The portions are generous. The food is fresh. The sushi- we tried many different dishes- all so fresh. I felt nourished and uplifted after the meal.
