GREAT FILIPINO FOOD. Super greasy, fried, garlicky. You might come in and think that it's closed, but trust me, the employees are just in the back. Ring the bell and they'll come. 10/10 would come back.

I'm so glad I ordered from here! It was 2 days to my child's birthday and I needed to order food for the party fast. This place popped up on Yelp! I called them on a Friday night close to closing time and inquired about ordering, but also explained that I'd like to taste their food first and will try to get there by closing. The owner was very nice and said...don't worry I'll cook for you so you can taste the food and I'll wait for you. Like what in the world! Who does that?! That's already 10 star service!!!The food was delicious! We ordered half tray of chicken inasal, half tray pancit with chicken, half tray chicken skewers, Shanghai, bangus and pork sisig, and chop suey. Everything was flavorful. Those chicken skewers were tender and juicy. Shanghai is fresh, never frozen. My entire family loved the food and all night I was asked where did I order from. Also, comparing to other Filipino restaurants, this place is affordable. The vibe is relaxing and casual with bamboo decor and has a small stage where they have live music a couple times a month. I have to come back and check out the band. Support this new local businesses. They are hardworking, kind, and the food is amazing.

If you've been fortunate to go visit a matriarchal Filipino home, you know that you'll NEVER go hangry. They'll feed you until your pants seams bust and send you home with Tupperware of leftovers. Then, the next time you visit, she'll say, you've gotten "fluffy"....but in a blunt way. Several months ago, I called Pampanguena Cuisine for a lumpia tray and the phone just kept ringing. Come to find out, they closed and Fili Taste Grill & Restaurant took its place in in early June 2024 . They're open for takeout and dine-in. No outdoor seating. While there was no lola onsite, dining at Fili Taste felt like an extension of their home and we left with plenty of leftovers. M E N UFilipino Fare - Array of skewers and a handful of a la carte dishes: Sizzling Sisig, Fili [Grilled] Chicken, Lechon Kawali (fried pork belly), Grilled Jumbo Squid, and Bitter Melon Soup. Combo plates available during lunch from 11 AM - 3 PM: Two proteins/lumpia plus rice for $14.99. If you spend over $35 for two people, it's FREE unlimited rice. Order at the counter (pick your skewers), seat yourself, and pay after you're finished eating. F O O D* SKEWERS ($2 each): https://tinyurl.com/4z8szcb7- Pork BBQ - Chicken BBQ - Pork Stomach - Hot Dog - Chicken Feet - Chicken Heart (x2) - sorry no pic- Kwek-Kwek: Battered + deep fried quail eggs Fili is one of two Filipino restos in the bay to have such a large array of skewers (like Dollar Hits in LA). Most of the skewers are brushed with a savory sweet glaze and perfect if you're looking to get a good sampling of proteins. * Inihaw na Pusit: Grilled Jumbo Squid ($14.99): https://tinyurl.com/mryfcde7Tender and pleasantly chewy with a nice char. Make sure to grab some housemade soy-vinegar-chili dipping sauce from their condiment station. * Fili Chicken, Inasal-Style ($14.99): https://tinyurl.com/msn9ta3pEveryone has their own recipe/variation but inasal chicken is usually marinated with vinegar, calamansi, lemongrass, garlic, and ginger...and annatto for that red hued skin. The whole chicken legs were juicy and lightly seasoned so the soy-vinegar-chili dipping sauce came in handy. * Silver Lechon Kawali: Deep Fried Pork Belly ($14.99): https://tinyurl.com/47dfeb9xFav items of the night! Golden brown and crunchy bursting with juicy porky goodness. It was bit oversalted for me but balanced when dipped into the accompanying sweet mang tomas sauce. * Soup of the Day - Bulalo: Filipino Beef Shank Soup ($19.99): https://tinyurl.com/pkdbcxrwLeast fav item - while the bulalo looked ginormous, it was mainly a huge bone with marrow and two small pieces of beef. The beef was still tough, and the bok choy and corn were undercooked. It just needed to be simmered longer to achieve a rich, soulful broth. * Garlic Rice (Free for spending over $35 for two)No Filipino meal is complete without rice and I was happy the garlic rice was part of the min. spending freebie. S E R V I C EFriendly, warm, pinoy hospitality with prompt food service. A M B I A N C ENo-frills casual dining area with 7-8 tables.P A R K I N GStreet parking can be challenging during peak hours. Overall, if you're looking for tasty Filipino eats with warm hospitality in the city, give this new local small business a try!

Wanted to try this new Filipino place we saw on Instagram. Really cute inside and the workers are nice. Food was a little pricey for this area, and the food was not mind blowing, but it was authentic. We got sisig, pinakbet, and inasal - the inasal was our favorite. We would come back again if we were in the neighborhood.

Server was friendly and the garlic rice was delicious but I will.lokely never return. I ordered a chicken dish and maybe 5-10 minutes after I ordered the server told me my dish would take 49 minutes to cook and recommended I get the wings instead. There were only 3 small chicken wings in my dish and it still took forever. We were there for over an hour. I should've stuck with my original order. Food was ok, service was painfully slow despite being empty and music was so loud I could barely hear my friend talking.

Best Filipino food I've had outside of the Philippines. Sísig was absolutely amazing. The owners are very welcoming snd friendly. Jay (one of the owners) is great. Service is phenomenal and the food is made fresh upon every single order, the chef does not cook in large batches like many other Filipino spots. The vibe inside is modern yet authentic. This is easily my favorite restaurant on Mission street. They just opened 2 months ago. Everybody should go and support. The food speaks for itself.

I've ordered food from a gathering, and it was above and beyond, I loved the unique flavor from the Fili- Taste cuisine. They have a great customer service, that helps you with the food's menu based on your taste. The ambience is so welcome and the cleanliness is a high standard of the place.
