Falletti Foods

the price for basic produce (think potatoes, onions, etc.) is fine but a lot of items (yogurt, vegetarian meat substitutes, sliced bread, etc) are way overpriced. they do carry some esoteric items like enoki mushrooms and a pretty good selection of cheese / ice cream for such a small store though. for high-end groceries, bi-rite, whole foods, and gus's are a lot better. for regular stuff, lucky and safeway both have a much better selection for much cheaper. falletti doesn't have a lot going for it other than being in a busy neighborhood (schlok's and the farmer's market / DMV are next door) with a convenient parking lot. for some reason the cashiers here make mistakes more often than other places, so make sure you check your receipt.

The setting of checkout channels in the supermarket is not very reasonable, and it is easy to cause congestion during peak hours.

It is clean and tidy, with an abundant supply of goods. It gets quite busy on weekdays and has a thriving business. Parking is also very convenient. This is quite nice.

Delicious tiramisu! I don't really shop here often for groceries. Produce is fresh. I will stop by again to try other items

Produce looked super fresh and there was a decent selection and price range. Reliable grocery store Some local cheeses to try in refrigerated section. There is also a deli or RT Rotisserie to get prepared foods!

WOW! be prepared to be impressed!!!We are smart and selective shoppers - then! we get totally seduced when we walk into Falletti's! The produce is great! The sausage - made daily - is incredible. Love the Bakery and the decadent sweets. Every Valentine's Day we skip the big showy restaurant scene and create small Falletti's feast - Love Kopriva Chardonnay- superlative meats. And! The staff is terrific. Parking can be a challenge...we have a secret place- not telling you!

While some items can be expensive ($8.99 for a cauliflower what the whaaaat?), I like Fallettis for a few reasons:-Proximity to the DMV Sunday farmers market. So convenient when you need just one or two ingredients you can't source from the market.-Obscure items that you only need for that once-in-a-while dish or inaccessible Gwyneth Paltrow recipe. Like pomegranate molasses or cashew nut cream.-British sweets section. For anytime I'm craving a treat from the motherland like Terry's Chocolate Orange mmmm.-Cheese offcuts basket: this is my favorite part. In the cheese section are small chunks of gourmet cheese for sale. Perfect for when you want a small morsel and to try something different but don't want a full wheel.

We were next door and decided to stop by. This is a small group store but has some pretty cool stuff. First they had fresh flowers. Everything is so well organized and clean. Pretty good frozen section. They also had these chips that are hard to find. There's really great produce. The meat department looks fresh and clean. Overall great experience. It's a little expensive but the service is good and there's quality food.

I just had one of the most unfortunate and disgusting experiences at Falletti Foods. Everything was going fine- selections OK etc. But when I got to the checkout stand there was something wrong. The male cashier seemed to be in a daze, having to price check every other simple item- like pineapples, raspberries, etc.. But the worst part was he obviously had a cold or something and kept wiping his nose with his open hand and then continuing to touch my groceries. No towel, no sanitizer, nothing just his snot all over the groceries. I haven't wiped down my groceries in years now, but I will be doing so as soon I get home from this visit. And next time I need groceries, I will be going anywhere but here.

I had the Italian sandwich and was impressed; it was delicious! I also had the Sicily salad and it was great too. My wife had the roast beef sandwich and it was delicious too. I'll go again.
