I loved Epic! Went for a birthday with the girlies and the experience was great. The ambiance as a vibe. They had great music playing low in the back (r&b), it wasn't loud, and the views are amazing. Our server Joseph was AMAZING! From the start he was super attentive and gave us the best recommendations on what he likes for food and drinks. He honestly went above and beyond. My first round of steak frites was way over cooked and he took it back for me, but also brought out Brussels sprouts so I could have food and to apologize for the mistake. He really just made the experience that much better. He even went outside with us after dinner to take our pictures with the bridge in the back. Love him! The food was good. I can't speak for the lamb, but my steak frites were super yummy. The sauces paired with it really elevated the plate also. It was seasoned perfectly, so I didn't need to use any of the table salt options which I prefer. The Brussels sprouts are so yummy! Sweet but very savory, and not soggy at all. The Mac was super yummy too! Love a good truffle Mac. The mashed potatoes weren't memorable for me, unfortunately. My espresso martini was 10/10. But was was great was the wine recommendation Joseph gave me to pair with my steak frites. It comes with a cab, but I'm a white wine girly forever haha. I wish I could remember the name because it was so so good!! Will definitely be back(:

For my 700th Yelp Review I would like to write about an EPIC place - EPIC is located on prime real estate on the Embarcadero with the best view of the bridge and the bay. Yea there are tourists and conference goers in the mix if the clientele, but as locals from a block away, it usually a hidden gem for me to come time and time again. On a warm day the patio is amazing! The $49 bottle of Veuve Cliquet has been a staple for over a year now before 3pm. Full disclosure it can be dangerous at a price below retail!, you and your group will have a fabulous time enjoying lunch / brunch on a gorgeous day. Some of the highlights include the tuna poke - super fresh ingredients and flavor! The steak frites you have can option to add on a glass of Bella Union Cabernet, super silky and go well with the juicy steak. If you want to be a high roller and in the mood for steak, EPIC is a classic steakhouse with all the cuts you can imagine. Great experience, attentive service, a few bottles of Veuve later, life is beautiful!

Everything was delicious. Make sure to make a reservation the day before to get your preferred dinner time and preferred seating. The heated patio enclosed terrace was as described, partially outdoors but covered and enclosed and heated. Nice view of the bridge. We got the "everything you want in a steakhouse" and all of it was super yummy. The julia childs potatoes come out HOTT! Let them cool a little or u will burn your mouth.

Enjoyed an epic dinner with an epic view of the Bay Bridge. Ordered the ribeye with the special add-on, which included a starter, side dish, and dessert for just an extra $35.Every single dish was delicious. Our favorite was the roasted Brussels sprouts; perfectly crispy and flavorful. The lentil soup was also a standout. The ribeye, cooked medium rare, was tender and melted in our mouths, though a bit fatty for my taste. And the cheesecake was rich and filling.Service was good, and the ambiance was spectacular, especially with the beautiful location. Highly recommend and would definitely be back!

From the beginnings of literature, poets and writers have based their narratives on crossing borders, on wandering, on exile, on encounters beyond the familiar. The stranger is an archetype in epic poetry, in novels. The tension between alienation and assimilation has always been a basic theme -- Jhumpa LahiriNo crossing borders here. Epic Steak is your solid steakhouse with lovely views of the Bay and the Bay Bridge. I have been here twice and the food has been consistent, the service professional. The best deal at dinner is the steak and frites which comes with a glass of wine. If you don't like the Cabernet offered you can switch out for another by the glass wine. The view is outstanding, especially on a warmer night. Highly recommended.

We had a great anniversary dinner at Epic. We started with bread and butter and drinks. We opted for beer since wine was very aggressively priced for our tastes. (The wine list was superb.)Bread service was good. Hubs ordered the wedge salad, and he was disappointed because they chopped it, rather than served it as a wedge. It really does change the feel and texture of a wedge salad, so I get that. Together, we ordered two Ribeyes, a small filet, and as sides we had Julia's potatoes, mushrooms, and carrots. The steaks were epic! Excellent and so, so tender. The sides were also extremely tasty. Loved them all. Would not hesitate to order any of them again. We were stuffed and they offered a free dessert for our anniversary. We took them up on it, but only needed one between the three of us, since we were so full. The dessert was peanut butter chocolate mousse. It was also excellent and I would order that again, too. I would like to say the ambiance was terrific, but it wasn't. It was outdoors in a tent like structure. It wasn't charming in any way. It was heated with heat lamps, but for hubs, it was cold out there and he didn't like the atmosphere at all. This was an expensive restaurant and it should not feel like a food truck tent. I would absolutely return to Epic, and I will be sure to request indoor dining when I do.

As you can see, we ordered a lot of items during their Sunday brunch. I tried a lot of variety but here's the good and the bad. The good:Oysters- very smooth and largeBrussels sprouts- sweet and deliciousMac n cheese- very rich in flavor and creamySteak frites: tender and juicy. Best thing I've ordered The bad:BBQ: Very dry. Even the fatty pieces for the brisket were dry. Ribs were average and did not care for the hot links. This was a double BBQ plate so it was over $50. It was not worth it and regret ordering this. Very disappointed since I was looking forward to the brisket the most Overall, the servers are nice. They have both indoor and outdoor seating depending on the weather. Very classy restaurant. I don't think I'll come back for brunch though

First timer here. Decided to celebrate my husband and I's birthday at EPIC. The reservation process was smooth and we were seated earlier than anticipated. Our server was very nice and friendly but forgot a few of our items a couple times but no big deal. The restaurant setting was nice and low dimmed lighting. My husband ordered the NY strip, I ordered the filet with a Cesar salad and Mac and cheese. NY strip steak 9/10Filet mignon 7/10Truffle mac and cheese 2/10Cesar salad 8/10I was looking forward to the Mac but was left disappointed. It had a strong after taste but everything else was good. EPIC was nice enough to give us a free dessert for our birthday. We decided on the sticky toffee bread pudding with candied pecans. It was out of this world! Soooo good but not overly sweet. It came out warm with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream on top that paired nicely. We also got a few signature cocktails. The "Make It Pink" and "Un Poco Picante". The "Make It Pink" was delicious! We ended up getting 4. The bill was pretty hefty. $340 for two people after tipping. It was good for the experience but I don't think I'll be dining here again, appreciate staff

EPIC Steak is located in the Embarcadero and is of course known for its steaks. It's next to Waterbar, which specializes in seafood, and both restaurants share the same owners. The dining room and location is stunning, with a beautiful view of the Bay and the Bay Bridge.I ordered the NY Steak with mashed brown on the side. It was good, but nothing exceptional.
