Love it!! Been eating burritos from here forever! Only thing I'm recently not happy with is their rice. I think in the last year or two they got new owners ( a friend who says she knew the last owners or knows the present ) and since then I don't really like the rice in the burritos. But I'll always go there.

Ordered for my family, not cheap for Mexican food.Went for years there, but today the wet surf and turf super burrito was BAD!Chicken was tough, and jumbo shrimps were rubbery. So disappointed. Quality is lacking freshness.

Haven't been here for awhile but it was handy and we didn't feel like driving to SSF. The food had decent portions for the price point. The meat is regular and doesn't have a depth of flavor and there are no choices for beans. We ordered one happy carnitas and regular chicken burrito. I would come here again if I needed something close by. The waitstaff is polite and you order your food and sit down. Not much ambiance and I didn't see anyone wipe the tables down so we just did it ourselves.

El Super Burrito has been a part of the Millbrae community for decades and I think this is a pretty good Mexican spot. The service is pretty good and friendly and parking isn't difficult to find. The building exterior and interior is definitely on the older side, but it's still comfortable enough. It could definitely be cleaner. It's your typical order at the counter and grab your food when your order number is ready.I recently ordered the Steak Taco ($3.95) and Birria Taco ($5.90) plus a Horchata. The horchata wasn't watery and you can taste the cinnamon flavor. I tried their Birrita Taco for the first time and surprisingly it's really good. It was loaded with meat and cheese and the Consomé was perfect to me especially when you squeeze some lime juice into it. I would definitely get their birria tacos again in the future. It's a 10/10 for me. The Steak Taco was also pretty good and the tortilla had a nice texture. Steak was well seasoned although I wish it was a little more tender, but its was flavorful overall.I also tried a bite of the steak quesadilla and it's a pretty standard quesadilla, but it hits the spot honestly. The meat and cheese ratio they do pretty well. What I also like is that the portions of everything is pretty big including the burritos. This place definitely leaves you stuffed after your meal.I would definitely come back in the future.

I stopped here on my way up to SF, I was not prepared for the densest breakfast burrito I've ever had- I mean this in the best way-so packed with meat and beans not filler. My burrito came out so fast, the service is very quick. The salsa that comes with the chips is pretty flavorless which was disappointing. The tables and seating are very clean, they constantly had someone wiping tables down after patrons left.

10/30/2024I've eaten here a few times kind of hoping it gets better but it remains pretty average. I have yet to find really good Mexican food in the Bay Area so this place is par for the course. I had the chili verde burrito ($13.00) and it was ok. I would have it again but wouldn't go out of my way for it. I'd give 2.9 stars.

Thanks for the additional details on the tamales! I've incorporated your specific feedback into an updated review below:Super Burritos Menu Review: Tamale Combo Plate - Chicken Shines, Beef Falls ShortOn my quest for tamales, I decided to give Super Burritos' combo plate a try. For $13.95, you get your choice of two tamales (Beef or Chicken) accompanied by rice, beans, and salad.First up was the Beef tamale, which earned 3 stars. While the masa had a nice corn flavor and the filling was well-seasoned, the overall texture was a bit too dry for my liking. It wasn't unpleasant, but some additional moisture would have greatly improved the experience. The Chicken tamale, however, fared much better with 4 stars. The filling was tender and flavorful, and the masa struck a better balance of taste and texture compared to its beefy counterpart. This is definitely the tamale to choose if you opt for the combo plate. The included sides of rice, beans, and veggies rounded out the meal decently. While Super Burritos' tamales may not be the absolute best in town, the Chicken variety satisfied my craving. If I return, I'll likely stick with Chicken and perhaps explore some of their other menu offerings. The combo plate is a solid value and worth a try if you're in the area seeking a tamale fix.

Honestly was not expecting this spot to be so good! This restaurant is located in Milbrae and it is pretty tucked off. They have plenty of parking and have indoor seating. They have a lot of menu items to choose from. We ordered a super burrito and added sour cream as the super burrito does not come with sour cream. The flavors were fresh and they did not skimp on the protein. We had the carne asada and shrimp. We also ordered tacos which they packed with lots of meat. The cashier who helped us was nice, im surprised it isn't so busy. I'll definitely be coming on this side of the peninsula if I'm ever craving Mexican food!

New owners ? The man stationed at the front register on Sundays is rude ! I tried to ask for something and he rudely stated he couldn't hear me (maybe it's because you have an AirPod in your ear)? Since when did it become ok to wear headphones when you're doing customer service ? When I reported an issue with my order, he replied something to the effect of - so what do you want to do ? I miss the regular staff who is here on Sundays. Please re-assign him .
