El Faro Mexican Food

This place used to be good. Now it's just alright. I feel like they've changed ownership a while ago, but when I ask, they say, "No," the old school old man is no longer there at night. The whole staff has changed.Service is meh. They just slap the food together and off you go. Food hasn't changed. The place inside is still simple with minimal decoration. They do charge more now if you pay with card. I'm noticing this a lot more in some places. I mainly come here when I'm in the area and looking for early breakfast. They are one of the few places open at 7am.

I bought a super burrito with carnitas and it was delicious. The tortilla wasn't pan-fried enough, but everything in the burrito tasted alright. Carnitas was a little bit salty for my taste buds and the burrito seemed smaller than usual. But hey, for $10, not bad compared to other places.

Lived in the area for a bit and just tried them out tonight for the 1st time. We ordered enchiladas, carne asada burrito, and carne asada plate. Everything was delicious! Zero complaints and we will definitely be back! The fast drive thru for the quality of food is also a major bonus!

El Faro is the same owners as El Farolito in the Mission in Sf. But too bad the flavors are way off. Not bad but not great either. For $11.xx you can get a super burrito, chips and salsa which is rare now a days. As far as flavor and taste are concerned it is basic as heck. The carnitas are kinda salty but not too dry at least.Order at the counter and they'll make your order. When they're done, pay at the counter.You won't find any salsa and chip bar here. They keep it behind the counter.They do have a small parking lot and drive thru. Decent option when the go to Taqueria is closed on Mondays.

We have been coming here since we were kids, now we bring the kids and their kids! Generations of our family enjoying fresh ingredients, and friendly people. This is our go-to! Enjoy!

I love this place, the food is fresh, tasty and very affordable! Great quick customer service!

It's a 3 star place but your favorite one for nachos. Back in the day, yes, the burritos the length of your arm but now it depends. Where else are you going to go any time of day for drive through at this caliber for this cheap. Enchiladas too. I consider us lucky

A far cry from the original location in the SF Mission. In fact, it's worth crying over. This location is for the unadventurous. Your only other choice is a Taco Bell. Gotta say, 1 star on presentation. Definitely not appetizing. 3 star for meh taste. If you're really really hungry their menu will do. On the plus side, I didn't get sick!El Faro had a lot of people working there, so props for providing jobs.We had a steak quesadilla & steak something, I think it was a burrito. Everything is wrapped in the same spongy tortilla. Generous portions. God bless America. Quantity over quantity!

First super PRO to me is there is a drive-through 2024 drive-throughs are so essential people are unpredictable nowadays, and sometimes I don't wanna walk into an establishment and have a staring contest lol I'd much rather go through a drive-through any day but also I'd much rather have real food than fast food any day as well. Considering that this is technically fast food because it's a drive-through but you know the chicken is real versus chicken at Taco Bell and you can add nutritious things like guacamole have the chicken be grilled instead of fried, I have to give them five stars because the burrito taste decent. I got a grilled chicken super burrito and I do taste guacamole and cheese there's not a lot, but the prices are super decent as well!. I saw those reviews about them forgetting, but I made sure I mentioned it so just make sure you mention it I guess! But I'll definitely be back. I'd rather come here than McDonald's or Taco Bell any day.

The taco Tuesday menu was fantastic. The tacos were delicious and fresh. I bought a carnitas and carne asada , they did not disappoint. The tortilla chips were fresh salsa and guacamole were awesome. If you want an authentic taco experience with friendly employees, you owe it to yourself to go to El Faro
