Very generous portions and excellent food!Little taqueria on the corner of Holly and El Camino Real gets great reviews and very popular. I've been wanting to try them for some time now and finally got the chance. Tiny little parking lot is a little cumbersome to maneuver but worth it, the Mexican cuisine is great, fresh and totally satisfying on a Taco Tuesday! I ordered the super taco with chicken, quesadilla with meat (steak) and side of beans (whole pintos). I love pinto beans!! Love them! These beans are great and flavorful. The quesadilla is made different from others I've had in the past, something how they grill it is fantastic! I love it! The cheese is delicious. The super taco with chicken is awesome. Chicken packs great flavor from spices and marinade. The street taco sized corn tortillas holding all the taco goodness together are fantastic! I love a great corn tortilla. Everything is super fresh and made well. As a to-go order, everything was thoughtfully packaged. They added little bag of chips in my order, too. Chips are pretty good, not homemade but good. Lots of salsa here! There's a salsa and chips bar and it's all freshly made. Nice peeps, great service, cute taqueria that's very popular in this area and great Mexican favorites on their menu reasonably priced. I will definitely return very soon! Mucho Gracias!

El Charrito is one of our favorite Mexican restaurants on the peninsula. We've been coming here for their fantastic wet burritos for the past three years. Highly recommend!

Not sure why most yelpers find this place awesome. May be I had high expectations going in, thinking they would at least make their own chips but to find they were from Costco. What a let down. Their salsa was alright but pico de gallo was not offered. In general, I found their flavors lacking, especially their rice. Ordered the al pastor tacos and the meat was too dry with little flavors. On the other hand, great customer service. However, i would not return because there are better options within the vicinity.

This is an AUTHENTIC, super casual, hole in the wall establishment. I was a bit annoyed reading the other reviews and decided to give my two cents. Being born and raised Redwood City near "little Mexico" (middlefield between marsh and woodside) I love affordable good Mexican food on the go and this place checks all the boxes. Best tripa tacos! Yes- it gets busy and is popular for lunch. Service is welcoming - they are nice here.

A low key taco spot. They are very quick at getting your order ready. It's also great chill place to dine-in. We stayed at Trestle apartment when we first moved to the Bay area and this spot was absolutely perfect for us. It's also very reasonably priced for its location. The staff is very friendly and nice.

Solid breakfast burrito but nothing more. Missing potatoes and from other reviews it seems questionable if they are actually included, even though they are advertised. Minimal eggs and too much cheese. Chips and green salsa is good. Definitely not the best breakfast burrito in the Bay Area as suggested by other reviews, there far superior ones out there.

I moved into the neighborhood a few months ago and live within a couple blocks of El Charrito. I enjoyed the first meal here and have been coming here once a week, usually for a pick up order. Tonight, I went to grab my usual of a super burrito and a horchata. I went home with my order and I have never been served a burrito with so little care. The burrito had burst open but been wrapped in foil anyway. I had to eat this with a spoon which defeats the entire point of a burrito. There was a slight mess on the outside of the foil as well which means they wrapped this thing up knowing it was busted. I guess they were too busy to make another one and clearly they have too many customers because they can afford to lose a loyal customer. Especially since there are 3 other highly rated taquerias within walking distance.
