Looking for a spot with a patio that's convenient to my office to meet up with city dweller friends, this popped up, and the reviews made it a must try. The staff was super friendly. They gave my dog lots of love, and brought him water. Their garlicky green beans were perfectly crisp and seasoned. My foodie friend will be trying to replicate them. The cucumber Fresno chili salad was bright and appealing. The chicken gyoza, vegetable dumplings, and vegetable rolls were flavorful, reasonably priced, and great for sharing. For dessert, we did the trip of buns egg custard buns, and sesame balls, and enjoyed them all. The beet and taro were our favorite for sure.

Eating in SF is always going to be more expensive because of the rent and stupid heath tax. That's the only reason it's not 5 Stars. In terms of food, the taste, freshness, and quality were excellent. I'm glad i was able to finally try it after having thus bookmarked for years!Atmosphere is great. Cocktail menu sounds good. I'll try it another time when it's girlfriends hang out night.

I love this place! It's more of an Asian fusion spot, slightly pricey, but the food is always pretty great. Plus, the staff is always friendly and helpful. There's a good amount of seating, both outdoor and indoor. I usually get their shrimp toast, potstickers, and some Beijing noodles. My favorite dish by far is their shrimp toast. It's perfectly crispy and the sauce on top is so so good. Even my boyfriend, who isn't a big fan of shrimp, loves it--I think that just goes to show how good it is!Overall, it's a solid spot with great food and great service. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!

Great outside seating. Busy lunch service was solid. Food is delicious and reasonable for SF.

Hand made dumplings.... Any time ! Delicious ! Their dough is special on the dumplings, filling is superb. Shrimp Siu Mai with whole shrimps hit the spot. Space is great for groups, inside and outside areas. Heat lamps. Will definitely be coming back here for more. Check out their new item specials!

I LOVE dumpling time. I've only had it delivered (multiple times) for years and finally got to try it fresh! My family makes amazing dumplings so my expectation for dumplings is pretty high, and Dumpling Time consistently delivers :) Chicken Gyoza is my favorite item. 5 pieces come in an order for $10.50. The pieces are all very chubby (filled with minced chicken and wood ear mushrooms), juicy, and overall tasty. Make sure you add some chili oil as you enjoy each bite! Although I gotta say, they used to be folded a bit prettier, and it seems like the wrapping team got a lil lazy now with a very simple fold. Overall still VERY delicious. Must have! Garlicky String Beans are also a must get - also $10.50Pork Dumplings are pretty pretty legit. There are 6 of them (?) for $11 and they are also lil chunky, you bet each bite is filled with delicious filling, and overall the dumplings sit in a nice chili oil sauce. You don't need to add additional sauce unless you're a chili oil fan like me!In terms of parking - there should be street parking around, you can turn around the corner for more parking. The bathroom line can be a lil crowded (there are two) and overall restaurant is pretty big. There is seating inside and outside (under an enclosed canopy) with beautiful plants which sets a nice ambiance!

I've been to both Dumpling Time locations in SF but had not been to this location in several years. After a great meal last week, I'll definitely be back! This location is a more casual vibe than Thrive City but has much easier parking and was very easy for us to get a table. The server offered us a free appetizer- there were two recipes that they were trying out and wanted feedback on. We chose the wonton soup and it was some of the most flavorful wonton soup I've ever eaten. I'd definitely order it in the future. We also got the soup dumplings, lobster siu mai, and vegetable dumplings, with a green tea bun for dessert. I highly recommend all of their dessert buns! The soup dumplings were super juicy. The lobster siu mai was a little too fishy for me. I've also enjoyed the shrimp toast in the past.

Food was decent but nothing to write home about. I'd eat here again if others wanted to but it's not a destination I'd choose. I visited with a large group, so we were able to try many of the items on the menu. The prices per plate aren't too bad, but the portions are small so overall I'm not sure the value is great.

I was skeptical because before a Warriors game the line is long and the restaurant was packed. To my surprise they have the process down and the service and food comes out quickly and the quality is good. Some dishes are better than others, the pork buns were disappointing but others made up for it. I'd go back.
