Drumm Liquor

The store was actually pretty impressive inside. They no longer sell deli items but are focused on wine, alcohol and quick takeaway drinks and snacks. Since we were looking for a late night bite close to the hotel it wasn't what we had in mind when we stopped in, but if you are looking for a liquor store it could do the job.The staff members did greet us when we entered and quickly explained that they no longer had the deli portion of the business. We looked around for a bit, and I couldn't tell you for sure how prices compare to other places in the area since we were only visiting, but it seems like a decent spot. It was clean and organized as well.

If you are a person of color, BEWARE!! They blocked my husband in the store with a taser and made him take his coat off before he was allowed to store. When he showed then he didn't steal the worker barely gave a story. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

I'm always walking through this neighborhood around lunch time and yesterday this sign caught my eye, "1/2 Sandwich with soup or salad special, $4.99". I'm always looking for a good cheap lunch, so I peeked in and mentally bookmarked it for the next day.So today, my coworker and I headed down to Drumm Liquor and Deli. I ordered a 1/2 Peppered Turkey with Cheddar, everything on it, on a Dutch crunch roll and a side green salad. It was pretty big for a 1/2 of a sandwich and the salad was more than just a side salad. Unfortunately there are no pictures of my lunch since I was half way through it before I realized it. They serve Boar's Head Meat and Cheeses, have really fresh salads and sides, chocolates and have one of the largest Liquor selections I've seen downtown. The people there were very friendly and my lunch was very good, nice to find another cheap FiDi find.

The falafel special at Drumm Liquor and Deli is a great deal for lunch under $5 in the Fidi. I wanted a change from the usual so I decided to get it while my colleague got a sandwich down the street. It's a generous serving of falafel, hummus, and tahini accompanied by some lettuce ad tomato. While it seemed like a good idea when I ordered it, I was all falafel-ed our by the time I was done with lunch. Don't think I'm gonna crave falafel too soon. But Drumm Liquor and Deli appears to have much more to offer that warrants a return visit. From sandwiches to wraps and yes... lots of liquor. Extra shout-out for keeping the store and prep area really clean and the lines moving fast. Oh and they take cards too!

A wine place, snack place, convenient store, even a home made sandwiches place. Excellent service, well mannered employees. You find the usual stuff, and some cool stuff you have not seen in years.

Stayed at the Hyatt and decided to try this place because my friend recommended their sandwiches. It was a miss for me and a hit for my bf. I didn't like the chewy roll (I swore I said wheat bread though o.O) that they had but I must say, the pickled vegetables and what not on the sandwich made it a very tasty one. I must admit, the meat was very thinly sliced but I think we got a good amount of it. It's not as bad as Vietnamese sandwiches XDWe also got the grilled burrito. It didn't look too good because it was already grilled and just sitting in the case AND it was late in the night so I was thinking about how long that thing had been sitting there but my bf doesn't care about these things...and I'm glad he doesn't. That thing was one tasty ... burrito BUT only if you eat it with hot sauce. That made all the difference, I swear! Anyways, that burrito was so impressive that I'm currently looking for its recipe x_XWe also got 2 of their salads. One was the pasta (whichever one that didn't have the cheese) and a plain cucumber/lettuce/tomato salad. They were both very good.The guy behind the deli counter was VERY nice and I liked him a lot =) He didn't get flustered dealing with my bf and my indecisive self and was very smiley =)

I was in SF for a quick business trip. Running late on my lunch break, i was looking for a cheap and quick digg... WOW. I saw this wine store with what looked like a deli counter. the service was quick and friendly.You see this is the reason im sad that I live in Long Beach. One cannot find these kinds of gems in the LBC. Here my pallet is limited to burgers, tacos and pizza if on a budget. . . But in the bay area i always find these yummy dives that are easy on the wallet.I ordered the Lavosh with Jerusalem Chicken. Its basically a wrap sandwich on lavosh bread. Heated to perfection on a iron skillet clamp. Wow the marinade on the chicken was insane on the taste buds not to mention the spicy tzaziki sauce, and the finely minced cucumber yougurt. Ive never had anything this amazing on the go. It was a mere 6 bucks and big enough to feed two people. ...Im talkin this thing was the size of a baby! The only thing that made me sad was that I could not finish it. i wish they had offered a smaller size. I ate and ate and ate, till i thought i would be sick. ... but it was so damn yummy, i couldnt stop. lol

These guys are aces. I realized I'd come downtown for a business meeting without a pen so I stopped in to see if they had some in stock. They don't sell them, but the proprietor dug around and found one, made sure that it worked well, and gave it to me. Saved the day!

By far the best liquor store in downtown San Francisco. They open early and close late. Service is always prompt and with a smile. Please stop by and Akash will take care of you. 5star service!

The good; you can get what you want. The bad; very pricy, caters to tourism. It's the only shop around here.
