Looking for a good dim sum place in San Mateo that's still open after 2 pm and found this. They don't serve the regular dim sum items we're familiar with but rather their hand made dumplings, wontons, and noodles. The green onion pancakes were light and crispy. All of the dumplings were delicious, tasted like home made.We ordered 2 noodles, the Dan Dan noodles were spicy and the Zha Jiang Mian noodles had a good umami taste. One of my favorites. Great to have something good and different. Really enjoyed this place. Will surely return and try more of the restaurants on E. 4th Ave.

The food and atmosphere here is amazing. I recommend the "Beef Stew Noodle Soup" as it tastes extremely flavorful and the noodles are nice and chewy. The service here is also great. The servers are often quick with bringing out food making for a nice meal and overall enjoyable experience.

We chose this restaurant be cause it was near the area we were at. When we walked in the place it looked pretty modern and simple. It was a little dirty near the walls. The service was quick and attentive. We ordered four dishes, green onion pancake, pork siu long baos, Dan Dan Noodles, and pork pan fried buns. The green onion pancake had good flavor and was thin. It was a little greasy. The pork xiao long baos had a good amount of meat and the soup inside was flavorful.Dan Dan Noodles were surprisingly good. It has a little spicy kick at the end. The portion was about a small bowl. The pork pan fried buns had a little doughy, would have preferred if the bun was a little thinner. If I were to come back I would get the Xiao long bao and Dan Dan noodles again.

The dumplings here are delicious, we had the soup dumplings, chicken wonton soup, spicy pork dumplings, kale, Dan Dan noodles (spicy food), and beef shank. We ate everything, even the teenager in our group ate the kale and said it was delicious. Service was great and prices just right for each plate, they had a waitlist but we got seated in about 10min from checking in. Restaurant has a nice ambience, love the bustle and the seating was comfortable. Will be coming here regularly.

Came in on a tuesday for lunch and it wasn't too busy so we got seated right away. The food here is yummy and fairly priced. I really enjoyed everything besides the dan dan noodles that were too spicy for my liking. The food came out so fast and i left with a full belly.

The food was SO good. I would say it's a similar taste to din tai fung but more affordable. Their lunch deal is such a steal. 10/10 would recommend coming during lunch on the weekday if you're looking to try it for the first time. You really get a bang for your buck. The inside was pretty big and could sit a lot of people. The food came out really quickly and everything was delicious. Would recommend getting the noodles and soup dumplings. The staff accidentally gave us another serving of soup dumplings, so we tried to give it back but they gave it to us for free which was super nice! The highlight had to be the taro milk tea. It tastes like real taro which is hard to come by. My family and I will be coming here again!!

I came here on a Saturday morning, for a party of 5. There was no wait. We were craving XLBs, and I stumbled upon this restaurant on yelp and decided to give it a try. We tried a variety of dishes.XLBs (pork): 5/5, definitely a must try. The dumpling skin was incredibly thin, but was still able to hold a large amount of broth within the dumpling itself. The only critique I had was that I wish the temperature of the dumplings were hotter.XLBs (pork + crab): 4.5/5, I preferred the pork XLBs, but worth a try. Not as much broth compared to the pork. I recall the crab flavor does not get masked by the pork and it was actually quite pleasant.Pan fried pork buns: 4.5/5, it had a crispy underside which I compliements the soft top side of the buns, however broth inside was lacking. Still good flavor and definitely worth a try. Green onion pancake: 5/5 Extremely crispy. Cant go wrong for $4, worth a try.Beef pancake roll: The beef was dry. I'd probably skip these and go for the pot stickers instead.beef-stew noodle soup, dandan, zha jiang mian: These are all ~$8, nothing to boast about. Worth trying. I prefer the beef-stew noodle soup. Beef was tender. Recommend adding a bit of the chili oil they have on every table with some black vinegar. Overall, everything was very affordable. Staff was nice and was very attentive in removing our empty plates.

I think this might be the best dim sum spot I've been to in San Mateo. The restaurant is clean, the staff is kind and very quick to bring out your order, and the food is so good I made a video because I liked it so much. And before you say you probably make videos of all your food - nope this is the first time. I swear. If you're debating on what to order, here were some of my favorites:Non dumpling items:- Green Onion Pancake : crispy and delicious - Dan Dan Noodles: perfectly chewy not the kind of chewy where your jaw is so tired after eating it.- Steamed Pork BunsDumplings:- Pork Xiao Long Bao- Beef Potstickers (pan fried)- Pork wontons with Chili SauceItem I would skip but my boyfriend thinks it was AMAZING so maybe try it! :- Beef Pancake Roll

Everything about this restaurant is great. First of all, the service is incredibly quick and the restaurant is usually not too packed. I ordered the dan-dan noodles, which was the stand out dish of this whole restaurant. Though it does have a weird aftertaste for me, the taste is beyond divine, with just the right combination of sauce and spices. This restaurant deserves all five stars!
