Double Shot Coffee #2

Was excited when I saw the had empanadas. Worst empanadas I've ever had, unfortunately... the crust was a bit soggy and tough - as if it was over-heated in a microwave - and the filling was dry. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because they had regular Coke...

This is a convenient location if your work in the area and want to get a quick breakfast or lunch. This time I got the horchata latte and a lox bagel. The horchata latte was a little too bitter for my liking and I enjoyed the lox bagel. Only two staff members were working so little bit of a line/wait when I got there. The coffee shop is super small so perhaps eating your meal at one of the tables outside or your desk if work on campus would be best.

Turkey pesto was good. The adobo empanada was not edible really tough and extremely dry so don't get that. Go to peasant pies next door if you want something similar.

Not much to write home about. A nice coffee shop to grab a quick, cheaper coffee, but definitely not one with a fancy interior to rest and hang at.I got a cappuccino and thought it was decent. Definitely a little more watery/weaker coffee taste than I would have liked. We also got a cinnamon mocha, which was decent, but weak on chocolate flavor and strong on cinnamon.Probably won't be coming back unless I need caffeine on a pinch!

A cute little coffee/sandwich spot in mission bay by ucsf. like that its so close to the ucsf mission bay medical campus. The service here was warm and welcoming. The coffee was solid and I enjoyed my latte. Nice to support local small business and will definitely be back.

Oh yeah, I've been to the original Double Shot Coffee deep in the heart of the Excelsior. It was actually a cool find in a workaday neighborhood where they served a diverse set of lattes, paninis, and bagel sandwiches. It definitely made for a nice respite as locals bulldoze you on Mission to get on the bus. This second location seems more appropriate for its hipster-centric menu as it's on the UCSF campus in that wide space near the Koret Quad on Gene Friend Way. Out of ten different lattes (count 'em, ten), I ordered the $4.95 16-oz Pistachio Latte, and it genuinely hit the spot (photo: https://bit.ly/3z5oJsT). I just took it out to the tables they have set up for the students. Very chill. The place is really clean, the decoration is cool and the employees are nice but I will say the drinks tend to be really sweet the mazapán latte was really sweet and the matcha it was more sugar flavor than matcha I didn't taste at all matcha flavor. I ordered for second time the breakfast bagel and the eggs really salty. I would recommend reduce a little the sweetness and salty flavor.

Went for a lunch walk and now discovered a great coffee spot but wait it's so much more than just coffee ! They offer bagels ( with or without lox) , breakfast burritos, sandwiches, beer and specialty coffee. I decided on a club sandwich turkey bacon and avocado! Delicious and decent price for SF ! I washed it down with a mangonada ! Mango smoothie with chamoy and tahin ! All very good. Service was slow but it got busy and there are only 2 ppl working register and making the food and drinks. I can't wait to try more ! Oh and bonus is they have tamales and if you are Latinx then you know it's tamale season !!

It was ok. Probably won't get it again. Too small amount of salmon for me. Tasted fine

Decent coffee or beer depending on the time of the day or depending on how you're feeling. I often prefer to come here because the ambience is quite peaceful and the place is close to my work. Service is always good and fast. Indoor sitting is pretty nice and outdoor sitting is super cool across UCSF labs.
