Dots has been on my list of spots to try since I saw their soft opening sign awhile back. For a boba place that gets a lot of positive reviews on their milk tea (esp in a saturated boba market like the Yay), I actually sought after something else on their menu: the wheel pies! I was craving a tasty snack and decided to finally give them a try. From my most favorite to my least, here's the wheel pies I got: Black sesame & mochi, Salty egg & pork floss, Egg custard and Taro paste. The black sesame and mochi wheel pie was by far my favorite. It's so good! The toastiness of the black sesame, the texture of the mochi and the cakeyness of the pie; it all worked so well! The first bite of everything together felt like seeing Steph Curry successfully do a behind-the-back pass to Klay Thompson.Salty egg & pork floss felt like a pork sung bun's younger, gen-z cousin. The pie texture made it feel hip and trendy but the inside tastes like the pork sung bun you know and love from your favorite Chinese bakery.Egg custard was egg custard--pretty standard. Taro paste was a complete miss for me. Not sure if it was a texture thing or how bland it was but the chunks of taro just weren't vibing with me and definitely didn't work with the overall pie. Wait time for the food was slow but it was a Saturday night after all. The vibes of the place is really casual and no seating :( big sad because this is the type of food to sit and yap over, haha.While I didn't have the milk tea, I did have the jasmine with lychee jelly and oolong with lychee jelly. Both steeped well and tasty! I got the oolong regular sweetness and the jasmine less sweet. Definitely suggest getting less sweet for the jasmine if you don't like anything too sweet or cavity-inducing. Regular sweet for the oolong is perfect--only suggest doing less sweet if you like a more bitter taste. Tasty snack option! Will have to come back for the real deal with the milk tea.

I ordered 7 drinks on doordash. Got this taro sago drink with no ice for extra $0.25However, Excuse me!? I paid extra for it and it wasn't full? I PAID $9.25+tax for this drink and it was only 2/3 full? I used to love this place so much because the teas are very strong and tasty. I don't mind paying extra but excuse me you have to make my drink FULL!!I guess I'll not go back.

Glad to have finally tried this spot! Boba drink was great. Fried Tofu surprised me, it was extremely savory and the sauce it was paired with is delicious. I'd definitely pass on the wings, it reminded me of store bought wings you can get yourself but it was still good nonetheless. Minced Pork Bowl is a great hefty meal. If you're looking for a boba place with plenty of food options, here ya go!

3.5/5. After my trip to Hong Kong, I'm on the hunt for the best Hong Kong milk tea and egg waffles in the city. For these two items, Dots' versions had decent flavor, but the texture/consistency could use improvement. The HK milk tea (less sweet) could be creamier, and the eggettes were cooked very unevenly. Some puffs were brown with a crisp shell, and somehow others were flat and yellow on the same side. The original eggette had a yummy eggy and slightly chewy inside, but the black sesame mochi one was broken and soggy. The red bean and mochi and the pork floss and salted egg wheel pies were tasty and packed with filling but small for the price ($4 each). These are only available Friday-Sunday. I enjoyed the well-seasoned Taiwanese crispy chicken.They offer deals on Monday (BOGO free) and Tuesday (BOGO 50% off) and if you leave a review on Yelp or Google (free HK milk tea or HK lemon tea).

Very cute and cozy spot! The black sesame milk tea has a strong black sesame taste and the boba is soft and chewy. Prices are reasonable and the menu has lots of nostalgic HK drinks and snacks. Service is very nice + fast and there's a tablet for easy ordering!

Perfect place for Hong Kong Style Boba Drinks & snacks! Definitely a "not-too-sweet" spot. My favorites were the mango coco and strawberry coco sago. The Hojicja was really nice too! For snacks, I'd recommend their popcorn chicken and fried tofu. Really tasty with the sauce they give in the side. And if you like sweet snacks try out their waffle Eggettes! The shop is really really small with barely any seating, so it's definitely better to take things to-go. Even though it's cramped, I think it's still decorated very cute! The workers were all nice and helpful!

The drinks are super good and the eggette is very tasty! Definitely recommend!I got the Hong Kong style milk tea and it is perfectly sweet and the boba tastes very fresh! I also got the original eggette which was a good combination with my drink!

Delicious!! The mango sago in this milk tea shop is really amazing! The sweetness is just right, not greasy, and I still want to have another cup after drinking it. The environment in the store is also very comfortable, and the service attitude is very good. I will try other flavors next time! Highly recommended!
