Came here for a weekday dinner and had great time. We came around 6 pm with no reservation. Luckily, they save a few spots for walk ins. I do recommend a reservation, even on a weekday, because they quickly filled up as the night went on. The style of pizza they do is more like personal size. I could definitely eat a whole pizza if I wanted to. You can also share two pizzas with someone if you wanted to mix and match. I got the salami piccante. The pizza was great! Everything was great here, no notes!

Customer service is absolutely horrible! They are not accommodating. The food was mediocre. The pizzas were great.. They're completely overpriced and take advantage of people with parties. I would not suggest you to go to this place at all, but if you do not go with more than two people... our group will never go there again. I only gave them two stars because I thought the pizzas were good..

Great spot for a casual group dinner. You get freshly made Neapolitan style pizzas and can see the chefs skillfully tossing the dough in front of you! We started off with the beet and goat cheese salad, burrata and the meatballs - everything was delicious. For the pizzas we ordered the Salsiccia with sausage and mozzarella, the Quattro Formaggi and finally the Potato (the standout one, my personal favorite). Will definitely be back for their pizzas and fun atmosphere.

The kiwi sorbet and the king trumpet mushroom pizza was absolutely delicious!! I can't wait to go back and try it again. Our server was very pleasant and friendly, our pizza took about 30 minutes to come out which was less than ideal but he made sure to keep us informed.

Really cute neighborhood pizza joint tucked away in lower Nob Hill! I always love coming here and recommending the back patio for outdoor dining in the summer months. They have some of my favorite pizza dough in all of SF - so light, airy, yet still has a nice chew. Super flavorful with a slight tangy aftertaste.Definitely try the potato pizza - my friend said it tastes like breakfast and I wholeheartedly agree. Love to top it with some of their chili oil!Guanciale pizza was also breakfast adjacent- very decadent from the robiola bosina but has a nice sweetness to balance it all out.Would skip the burrata next time - quite pricey for what you get (I tend to feel this way about burrata at any restaurant!). Had very little sauce/flavor/toppings so it was basically a decorated ball of burrata for $19.

Del Popolo has long been on my list of pizza spots to try in SF, and I finally had the chance to experience their famous Neapolitan-style pizza. I booked my table about a week in advance, which I'd recommend since it is a very popular place. Located just up the (very steep) hill from Union Square, the restaurant provides a pleasant escape from the crowds of tourists and shops merely blocks away.During my visit, our server took good care of us and provided excellent recommendations on what to order. To start, my friend and I split the puntarelle alla romana, a creamy and zesty salad that tasted like a cruciferous version of a Caesar. We then split the seasonal kabocha squash pizza, which was absolutely heavenly. The sweet and nutty squash paired excellently with the slightly smoky Calabrian chili. Topped off with dollops of creamy cheese and a drizzle of honey, each bite was perfection. The pillowy and chewy crust was everything I could have hoped for, and it had a slightly tangy flavor - almost like sourdough. While there is tough competition among solid pizza restaurants in SF, I certainly plan to return to Del Popolo.

I came here to celebrate my birthday with friends and was so happy to be able to snag a same day reservation! The place is so unassuming on the outside but actually has a super cute back patio area with dangling fairy lights (great for pics!)As for the food, we ordered 3 of the pizzas, wine, and the olive oil cake dessert, all of which were so delicious. I couldn't even choose a favorite.Service was quick and attentive as well, which we appreciated. Highly recommend if you're looking for some pizza in the Union Square/Lower Nob Hill area!

I went here with a friend to get dinner for her birthday. We ordered the broccolini appetizer and a couple pizzas to share. I was impressed by the Salsiccia and Salami Piccante pizzas, which tasted artisanal and authentic. This is a solid pizza option in the City.

Popped in for a bite before a show at the Masonic. Easy walk, no wait, and food was prompt. Pizza was delicious: full of flavor, soft/chewy crust, and not too skimpy on cheese! What I appreciated the most about this place was the wine menu. A wine from Maryland on tap? Yes, please. An ice cider from Vermont? I'll stay for another round. The quirky portraits on the wall had me saying 'he looks like William H. Macy meets Eddie Munster' and 'is that boy wearing Mickey Mouse's trousers?'. Memorable experience. I'll go again next time I'm at the Masonic.
