I always get excited when I spot the Curry Up Now truck around town, and one day, I happened to see it parked outside my office at lunchtime. Since their portions are large - and I wasn't feeling ravenous - I ordered a couple of samosas. There wasn't a line to order, and I picked up my food in about ten minutes. The samosas were as good as I remember - I used to order the deconstructed samosa from their restaurant. The samosas came with small containers of green and tamarind chutneys - essentials to cut through the rich flavors. What a special treat that kept me full through the afternoon!

Good fast food truck that was available onsite at the Renegade Craft Fair in Fort Mason. Line was initially long but moved quickly. The sweet potato fries were crunchy and fresh when picked up. The sauce accompanied was a sweet yet tangy ketchup sauce. The Vegan rice bowl was flavorful and a good portion.

I grew up eating Patak's Mango Relish, papadum, rice, and dad's chicken curry. As a kid ,I could really just eat mango relish and rice all day long... the more spice and hot the better! Also, I'm half Sri-Lankan, which means my spicy tolerance is pretty high! The Tikka Masala burrito is delicious, and you can ask for mild or spicy; choose your adventure! Would I just have loved to throw a half bottle of mango relish on top of it and inhale it at home? I sure would! Why didn't it I? Because the the burrito couldn't make it but 3 minutes in my hand before I started going at it. The curry smelled so good, even though it was tightly sealed in foil, then put in a brown paper bag. Most importantly, tightly sealed meant no curry spills! The burrito is a good size, but what really makes you full is that it's packed with rice and chicken and of course that saaaauce! That sauce is so flavorful! I'll admit I didn't finish it, and I heated up half of the burrito when I got home. I seared it in a pan, and tried to be all fancy, but it would've been fine in a microwave, I'm sure of it.I was so close to getting a mango lassi drink, but I'm controlling my sugar the the moment. The mango lassi is normally a usual item for me: not to sweet, thick, smoothie-like consistency, and super creamy-perfect drink to go with any of the options at this food truck. Sexy fries are also good here, but the burritos are my favorite so far. The deconstructed samosa is next up on the list!

The hardest part of having kind friends and relatives is not knowing what your next meal might be. Certainly a nice thing to worry about. After my shopping run and while making a delivery, my generous friend, sounds familiar?, handed me a box and an aluminum wrap during my curbside drop-off.Having already eaten lunch, I first reheated the samosa (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=ia1clHXPJ6MGCE-AiZLb6Q&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q) to accompany a bowl of soup for lunch; I liked that it was airy yet the filing was substantial and flavorful. I used both provided dipping sauces in alternating between the two flavors that were enjoyable on their own or mixed. That evening, I left the chicken tikki masala burrito (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=h_GeJLYwaKxPkuogGbsSsQ&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q) in its original foil and reheated at around 350F; it is quite substantial and, not wanting to eat a heavy dinner, I ate half only. I liked the flavors as the curry and Indian spices were only slightly spicy though I can tolerate a bit more on that front. My only wish was that there were some vegetables or other textures to contrast to the protein, garbanzo beans, and rice. I ate the rest of the burrito for breakfast the next morning. Pandemic new normal.Again, being a delivered gifted meal, no opinions on the service, atmosphere, and other logistics about their covid protocols. Thanks to my generous and thoughtful friend for giving me the opportunity to try this tasty and filling food.

I had Curry Up Now at Off the Grid and I have to say it is good! I had their burrito, Sexy Fries, and Naughty Naan. I love what they served on the truck. They surely expanded to a restaurants across the Bay Area. I have gone to the one in Haight. The restaurant is not bad but I prefer having the food off the truck.Find their truck in San Francisco during lunch time.

Oh Curry Up Now, how I love your exotic, fusion flavors! Even better, you were so generous to offer the public free burritos on the celebration of your 10th anniversary at your original food truck location in Burlingame, and how could I not take part in such a momentous occasion? The chicken tikka masala burrito with turmeric rice, chana masala, and onions was just spot on in flavor--the chewy tortilla, the curry sauce, the chickpeas, rice, and chicken all just came together! But my favorite burrito had to be the Hella Vegan, which was layered with several kinds of chutney (tamarind & cilantro), chana masala, and the best part, mini samosas, which added an amazing contrast of crunch from the shell and creaminess from the potato filling inside. A samosa in a burrito, you ask? It's INCEPTION and it absolutely works!

I am still in awe of these sexy fries! Have you ever had poutine? Well, my Dad's fam is from Wisconsin and my grandpa would always bring home cheese curds. I was obsessed with them, and then I discovered poutine in Canada and my life was changed! Poutine is fries with cheese curds and gravy, and Curry Up Now puts an Indian twist on this dish by serving sweet potato fries with chicken tikka masala and cheese. It was seriously so good! I love sweet potato fries and chicken tikka masala is the only Indian dish I ever order, so it was a match made in heaven.I visited their truck at Off the Grid Fort Mason, and now I can't wait to try their storefront! Fast and friendly service, too!

The other day, me and some coworkers decided to go to Senor Sisig nearby, only to discover that it was not parked on Pine that day. Not to be deturbed, we noticed Curry Up Now parked right across the street so we decided to give it a try since we were in the food truck mood. They have an interesting menu, consisting of a fusion of Indian and Mexican. Their Naughty Naan is a lot like a pizza, with a naan bread base and a lot of sauce and filling in the middle. And their Chicken Tikka Masala Sexy Fries consists of crispy waffle fries drenched tikka masala sauce. For me, I decided to order the chicken tacos (because I'm basic like that), which while INCREDIBLY messy to eat, was AMAZINGLY good. Seriously, I could have easily devoured 6 of those things without blinking. Price for 3 tacos is $8.50 + tax. Only real complaint was that they didn't provide utensils or napkins by default, and I forgot to ask for them.

Why 5 stars? Because chicken tikka masala fries, obviously! --- --- ---I don't have a ton to say in this review, outside of re-stating what I ordered:ChickenTikkaMasalaFriesOnce I type those four words, it doesn't feel like I should have to do any further explaining as to why I've chosen 5-stars for this review. I mean, I guess the tikka masala could have been sub-par, but I would have mentioned that already by this point. It was perfect - I only wish I'd had more.To make an already great thing even better - I snagged a grilled cheese sandwich from another truck (Upper Cut) and these fries served as my side item. This could not have been a more perfect marriage. These two trucks should definitely combine to form one business and call this combination "Party In My Mouth." They'd make millions - both dollars and smiles.

25 min wait for TV-dinner, pull-the-plastic-wrap-off food. For $14. Physical storefront experience was better, but food truck was pretty disappointing.
