Walked in right at open and service is quick and attentive. An older gentlemen was our waiter and he brought the saloon vibe along w plenty of classiness we just loved him. The veggie hot pockets were a super fun twist I think you don't see on a menu often. French fries were great. Oysters are fresh! Drinks are well made. This was def one of our favorite places in San Francisco.

My husband, cousin, and I had some food and a drink each before heading to a club nearby. We ordered food to share, which were the Truffled Artichoke Dip, Fried Brussels Sprouts, Bacon-Wrapped Stuffed Dates, and Charcuterie Board. The Artichoke Dip and Brussels Sprouts were my favorite. The dates were good. We were a bit disappointed that the charcuterie had meat but no cheeses. I like boards that come with both (instead of being two separate items on the menu). I had the Shanghai Buck and would order it again. The ambiance is dark and swanky. There was live music but it stopped when we sat down. We had an older gentleman waiter who was very nice and quick with service. I'd come back for another drink or bite to eat!

Lovely spot on Columbus down the street from a few other bars. Have a good sized menu of cocktails, mocktails, beers, wines etc. There is a cocktail option that's bartenders choice which is fun! Nice atmosphere with a live band

The ambiance was nice although it's harder to hear to the live music if you're not in the main room. Food was average. Service was attentive. The comstock burger was pretty juicy for medium rare and average. The fries tasty like McDonald fries but slightly thicker cut. The chicken liver mousse was average, not something I'd order again. The pickled condiments that went with it was decent.

This bar offers a unique experience with its 'create your own drink' option, allowing for endless possibilities and ensuring that every visit is an adventure. I had a blast trying out different concoctions, and each one was a delightful surprise. The atmosphere inside is mysterious and alluring, with the bar spanning across two distinct sections. The service is exceptionally friendly, adding to the overall welcoming vibe of the place. I can't wait to go back and explore more of what this bar has to offer!

The building the Comstock is in has been around since 1907 and has mostly been untouched. Great history and a great bar. Live jazz, great drinks and awesome SF atmosphere. Staff are nice and friendly

All around solid cocktail bar paired with a quaint and cozy ambience. Been a North Beach staple for a while now but I'm glad they've kept a lot of the historic interior from before. Staff are friendly and happy to provide recommendations. Great manhattans here but feel free to venture round the menu. Great date night spot or an intimate catch up with friends.

We met our in-laws at Comstock Saloon for an early dinner / happy hour. They were in town for the Grateful Dead concert at Oracle Park. We had a group of 11 so they found a couple of tables in the back just below the piano player upstairs. Lots of drinks going around and every one complimented the tasty cocktails. I had a Reality Check Pilsner beer. The food menu was eclectic and we had the following items:Comstock Burger & Fries 3/5 husk ok $21Skirt steak with chimichurri 4/5Oysters 4/5 $3.50 eachSalmon and potato puffs 3/5Donuts with ice cream 5/5 had to order a couple more best itemThe Comstock Saloon is located near the corner of Columbus and Kearney. It's filled with wooden booths. Service was ok. The nearest parking lot is Portsmouth garage.

What a night at Comstock! We have been in the city for 20 some years, but first time dropping by. The atmosphere were classic, bartender Marco was friendly and talented, and musician/singer Katy was amazing. The cocktails were well crafted and have the traditional vibe. We will be back again! It's such a nice setting for a date night. Thank you!

Comstock has the best burger in SF. Hands down. Fries are great, aioli brings me joy. They even make kombucha! What a gem. Interested in trying phosphates (the og soda jerk offering)? They have them too - pineapple mint is my favorite.Great old timey feel and often times has live music. On Friday's they offer lunch (rotating menu) for free with purchase of two cocktails!
