Quick take: Ramen and/or sushiThis restaurant is a small cozy place. Service is friendly. The only con is the lighting isn't very good. It's really dark and dim. It makes me sleepy. But the food is on point. They have a specials menu that changes. I really like the poke salads. They have some good selections for rolls. Will have to try the ramen some time.Tempura ice cream was good too.

I really hate that the first thing I did when arriving home, was opening up my laptop to write a negative review about my anticipated dinner. Tonights food:1. Godzilla Roll - Decent, not a large portion but ok in flavor. I find it odd that there were pickled carrots in there. Not sure if I liked that or not. I was definitely more confused than pleased. 2. Turismo - This wasn't amazing but made us think, ok... the food is not bad here. The unagi and spicy tuna combination went well. 3. Omakase - The reason for this review. This order comes with a house salad and a miso soup. The house salad was overdressed. The soup, standard. Then the dish comes out, presentation was subpar. Some of the fish looked dry. The butterfish was stiff. When I say stiff, I mean chewed to the point where I had to spit the fish out. The fatty tuna looked good, but was also ridiculously tough. I bit half, spat out that half, and left the other half for the trash. The shrimp looked so dry I didn't even want to give it a taste; same goes for the octopus. The snapper, should have never been served. This tasted like they went to the local asian supermarket, took it back to the restaurant, chopped it up, and served it as if it were fresh. The uni, why would you do that to me?! My favorite thing to order when eating sushi.... RUINED. The uni smelled like the snapper... fishy. WHAT THE COW? You should have been sweet, tender, and reminiscent of the fact that I'm about to start my weekend. The taste was a bitter sour, ending with a fishy scent in my nose. I was so disappointed. $30 for an omakase meal that basically ruined my night. If you don't have fresh fish to serve, you shouldn't serve it. I feel bad writing this review because I actually really loved the service here. The waitress was extremely sweet and checked on our tea/water and explained the menu to us real well. So please keep in mind, if you're a person who likes sweet service and aren't a sushi snob (ie: me), you should try this place out for yourself; but really, I don't recommend the food.

Very pricey and the service is terrible. Can't get a server's attention for anything. Very disappointing. The food is pretty tasty so I'll give them another shot some time.

I really have to say that, after ordering food here a few times to go, I am just completely disappointed.Consistently the food is over-priced and underwhelming. I am always left feeling light in the pocket as well as in my stomach, and always need to find something else to eat right after. And a few times they had gotten the order wrong, after repeating myself three times.Case-in-point: tonight will be the last night I ever eat at crazy sushi. I ordered the salmon teriyaki dinner to go. When I picked up the bag, it felt super light. And the total came to about $17.50.When I got home, I had a shit ton of plain white rice. And the salmon? Two tiny morsels that were doused in an unappetizing teriyaki sauce. And the kicker? The salmon was completely under-cooked!It's so unfortunate too, because I LOVE the sister restaurant, Coco Ramen. Hands down some of the best ramen I've had. And you can definitely taste that the noodles are homemade. But Crazy Sushi- you will disappoint me no more. I will no longer be venturing into your doors.

Can't decide if you want sushi or ramen? WHY NOT BOTH!The sushi is average, though I'm grateful that there is an affordable sushi shop in the area. However, this gets an extra star because not only can you order sushi, but you can also order ramen off the menu from its sister restaurant, Coco's ramen next door! There's so many times where I want sushi but my husband wants ramen, so this easily helps us compromise. Also, pro tip: there's usually long lines for ramen, but this side is fairly open and less crowded, but you can order the same ramen from each.

This place is a Gem. The food quality is amazing and the price is remarkable. The service was okay. They only had one waitress on one side and she got overwhelmed. But she did her best. The only thing they did not do is "last call for food" . I really wanted to take home a ramen for late night munchies. But when I ordered it , the kitchen had already closed. Wouldn't stop me from coming back though. :) I'd be prepared the next time around.

Edit: WOW they upped their prices tremendously! Prices are extremely fair for bomb ass sushi that is super fresh. I literally had on eat best rolls in MONTHS there last night. I enjoy the atmosphere, service, food, and pricing. It is attached to their Ramen spot which you are free to order.I like the vibe here, Ichi is too pretentious for me and half the time I cannot even tell if there are open, it looks like they are but I just get stared at from the inside suggesting I should not go in, hella weird. This place, and Fumi Curry are the best Japanese spots on Mission for sure. Bonus, they are super close to each other!
